I bought a sweatshirt back in June when I was there on vacation to where this fall and winter. I put it on for the first time in October. I wore it for the day and the last week waistband stretched out. It was hanging down like a dress. The quality was not good. I couldn't win across the street to the black dog. For the same price and got a much better quality. I contacted them to see if they could give me a partial refund or another sweatshirt. And they refused.

I ordered an article of clothing online from Menemsha Blues and, when it arrived, it was damaged. Despite numerous attempts to very politely contact them in a majority of different ways, I have received no response whatsoever. (1) I filled out an online form to return items a number of times and received no response. (2) At my own expense, I mailed the item back to them, only to have it sent back to me weeks later marked "Unclaimed. Return to Sender" (3) I emailed Menemsha Blues at the email address they provided only to have my email bounce back to me with the message Your message couldn't be delivered. The Domain Name System (DNS) reported that the recipient's domain does not exist. (4) I texted them but it did not go through. Every effort I made was met with radio silence. Crickets. I did these efforts because, in fairness, I have never stopped a credit card payment in my life, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or written a negative Yelp review and wanted to give them an opportunity to respond as I would like to think I am not a difficult problematic customer. If they do not agree with my complaint, I have no idea since they did not give me the courtesy of a reply. I had ordered a yellow rain slicker and when I opened the box it arrived in, it was covered all over and permanently stained in blue dye. The jacket was wrapped in blue tissue paper that had bled all over it to permanently stain it. The real problem I think is the choice of the type of tissue wrapping paper since not all tissue would bleed dye this way and it probably would have been better off in a plastic wrap or bag. As I stated, I have been very polite and patient as I have given this company weeks, but there is such an arrogance to its discourteous 100% lack of response. I would advise no one to order anything online from this unprofessional operation and I can see from the other Yelp reviews on this page that I am not alone in having any attempt at returns to Menemsha Blues brazenly ignored.

Received a gift during the holidays. The item was bought online. I did not have a receipt. Needed a different size and was not able to get to VH until March. The store clerk was helpful trying to find the same item and looking online for the purchase. She had to call the manager, who responded that they were unable to accommodate me. Store policy is posted that no returns/exchanges after 30 days and no exceptions. I understand that stores need return policies, but for the price that was paid, the condition of the item being untouched and in its wrapping, and the fact that not everyone can travel to MV on a whim, should at least allow for an exchange. I'm now stuck with an unwearable item. Wanted to throw it in the bucket on my way out. I'm glad you got your money, Menemsha Blues. I won't be back and will tell others to do the same. Treat your customers better.

I was in Martha's Vineyard a few years back and had bought some shirts from Menemsha Blues while I was there. These shirts were the most comfortable shirts I had ever owned. As the years went by, I decided that I needed to replenish my supply of these awesome shirts. So I recently placed a $257.50 Order over the Internet for 9 Shirts (I told you I liked them, lol) Anyway, when the order came, it was incomplete and had 2 $39.50 Shirts that I did not order. Menemsha Blues not only sent me the remainder of my order but they told me that I could keep the $79.00 worth of shirts that they had sent me by accident! THAT is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Quality Business, Menemsha Blues! As a caveat to this story, the first time I wore one of their shirts to a Barbecue on 09 June, one of the guests asked me where I got it and took down the information on how to buy some for her husband. Menemsha Blues - Quality Business, Quality Merchandise. They have a Lifelong Customer in me! Try Them, You Won't Find A More Comfortable Shirt...
