CB Stark Jewelers in Vineyard Haven is the perfect stop - this jewelry shop truly has become a favorite shop, not only for myself, but whenever friends are visiting the island and as they depart, I always plan a stop at CB Stark before they jump back on the ferry to the mainland and see if they want to bring back home a piece of MV with them.
There's something for everyone, and their Island Ties are the perfect memorabilia - my own has been with me for over 3 years now and I love it, as it's always present in my photos as well!
Plus, their charm bracelets are not to be missed! So many incredible items in their collections, and I recommend this as a stop for everyone on Martha's Vineyard!

I stopped in here after dinner wanting to look at engagement rings. I asked the woman working if they had any moissanite. She proceeded to say that she would "never carry anything moissanite because they were just not at all pretty." That they were "one small step above cubic zirconia, and look really fake when the light hits them because of the rainbow hue." It took me until I left the store to realize how rude and flat out mean she was being. In no way did I return the insults but she continued to hurl them until I left. What if someone had been in the store wearing a moissanite or cubic zirconia? But clearly she didn't care. The impression I got from her was that she was the owner, or one of the owners. That makes this all the more unacceptable. I am not against spending thousands on a harvested diamond, but for me, a lab grown or moissanite are more sustainable for the environment. I don't recommend coming here unless you want to be treated poorly and spoken to in a condescending manner. Spend your money elsewhere and have a much more enjoyable experience!

My husband bought me a beautiful necklace that I have worn everyday since 2008. MV is a very special place and after years of always looking I got a special necklace. Love the artistry and unique style of the piece.Well it had the glass come apart and Cheyanne was so helpful in getting it repaired! It is back and looks so beautiful. I am so appreciative for the unique selection you provide and service.

The jewelry selection here isn't wildly exciting to me, but the staff is polite and very helpful, the space is actually WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE (rare for this island), and the prices are reasonable. There aren't a lot of fine jewelry stores on Martha's Vineyard in general, and certainly not very many that are open year-round at all, so automatically the very existence of this store holds value. I wear a large ring size, so the store offered to have one custom-made for my finger, rather than sizing an existing one that they had at the store, which might've destroyed the integrity of the setting...I'm used to this! It was ready when they said it would be ready (about 6 weeks, which is typical most places in the US, in my experience), and I am very happy with the ring! I wish they had more estate and vintage pieces, but I think they cater to more mainstream tastes than my own. If you're looking for an island pendant or charm in gold or silver, a wedding band or solitaire engagement ring, or other small-scale fine jewelry, this is probably a good place to stop by if you're in Vineyard Haven!

I needed help with a small jewelry repair that several other places were unwilling to do. The jeweler was gracious, generous and made my day in a very special way by taking time during the holiday season to accommodate me immediately. What a gift!

This all started a month and a half ago. I went to CB Starks to get a tray engraved and was told this was possible and they would outsource my request to an off-island engraver. I paid for this work to be done up front based on the price quoted to me. I felt CB Stark was a responsible proprietor having a long history of service here on the island. Not hearing from them after 3 weeks, I checked in on the status of my request and was told that the engraver would not be able to successfully engrave the tray I left them. CB Stark shared if I still wanted the engraving, I'd have to have it done on another type of item, i.e., silver- or silver-plated item. I returned with a silver-plated bowl and was now told I would need to pay additional to ship this item out to the engraver. Again after another two weeks, I had to check again with them as to the status of my request. They shared it was still not yet finished and to check back again in another two weeks. So, after another two weeks I checked and was told it had been received. I went to pick it up and expecting to be given the item after having paid for it, plus shipping. CB Stark shared that additional money would be necessary. Not wanting to cause a scene, I paid the additional money and left. I find my experience with them to be extremely a horrendous customer experience with absolutely no communication whatsoever. I feel for the work requested I was ripped off. Despite their history of reliability, I would not recommend them. CB Stark if you are reading this, I hope you will correct your practices, so someone else will not experience what I did.

I was going in to buy my mother a bracelet from this store! My belly ring had fallen out earlier that day, so while I was looking just thought I would ask if the jewelry store sold any. The blonde lady at the counter was extremely rude. Started talking about how she has no piercings or tattoos on her own body ( weird) . Then told me she only sells normal jewelry while laughing. This was all in-front of other customers, so I left and bought a bracelet down the street because I couldn't stand how rude this women was.
