Not poor as far as Post Offices go. Ive had positive and negative experiences there depending on who is working.
Hard to believe the Post Office Exam is supposed to be so difficult when I see some of the folks there.

My shipping costs were almost doubled ($280) from what they ultimately were when I went to Neighborhood Parcel ($140) because I was not given the option of media mail, which is still a USPS shipping method. Theoretically the actual USPS post office should have given me their own shipping option which would have halved my costs. Overall unhelpful.

The USPS is a joke. I don't care how they alter tracking numbers to show on time delivery when they clearly exceed the expected date. That's fraud. They forge my name all the time for signed deliveries. That's fraud. They lost my package for over 6 weeks. They took no responsibility, they told the seller it was her fault and she needed to eat it. After a month of it going off the grid I filed a claim with PayPal and got my money back. When it finally showed up 6 weeks later I refused it but they wouldn't return to sender without having to pay again. It wasn't my property to accept. Zero accountability. It's always someone else's fault. I truly wish they would go out of business. They aren't needed anymore. They are the laziest transit company I've ever had to deal with. I pay the up charge anytime to use another carrier. You have to think about if it shows up damage, who is more likely to make the situation right, it's not the USPS. Here's one for you. They delivered me an empty box, all the contents were missing. All $300 worth. They threw a stamp on it saying that the company sent it to the USPS in that condition. That's all they had to do to not take responsibility or pay for it. The $50 insurance that comes automatically with priority they wouldn't even give. Just said "it was not their fault". We all know if the company sent it to the USPS like that why would they ship an empty damaged box, they wouldn't. They are liars and frauds. The Post Master in Tewksbury has all the excuses ready. Don't try to get him to see your side because it's always your fault, not theirs

A relatively painless passport application experience: 1. Print off and fill out the application before you get there so you can get in line. Make sure the application is NOT printed on both sides of one sheet. 2. Bring a debit card/check/cash. No credit cards. A non-expedited passport came to $160 after photos and fees. 3. The employees are quick and efficient. Check the passport hours online. They start at 10 AM on Saturday, but people begin lining up around 9:30 AM. 4. We got there at 9:45 AM and were out in an hour. We were third in line. Moving forward, I think I would rather go to the Woburn post office because they allow you to make an appointment online. This was a bit chaotic because the line was long and people were holding spaces while they waited for people to arrive. One woman was holding a place for her dad who had just called and said he was still on the highway. I'm not sure why the post office employees were allowing this but it was aggravating to say the least.

I enjoy going to this location... I was new to the area and the desk attendant Bob was very kind and welcoming. He always has such an energetic personality that almost allows you to forget anything else that's wrong with your day. Overtime his demeanor has been unwavering. He genuinely is kind and I always look forward to his exuberance when I come to this location. Jim is also kind and often has candy. Overall I would recommend this location most importantly because they also pick up their phone which saves you a trip if you can have you a question clarified over the phone. I just hope their Self Service/P.O Box portion was 24 hours like some or opened later

A Postman lost my important mail. If there were negative rating. I would give them negative 5 star.

Had to renew my passport and get my picture taken. Bob was very polite and super helpful. Was in and out of there within 15 minutes. The whole experience was unexpectedly very pleasant.

The most unreliable carrier out there. You will get what you pay for. My last shipment to UAE left Boston to California then to Brazil and back to California! It is still there for 2 weeks. Shipped in November as Xmas gift, supposed to be delivered in 8 to 10 Business days. It is now taking months and no sign of a delivery anytime soon. They should not give etsimate of delivery time if they cannot guarantee it! If you call to create a trace, you will need to re-tell them everything: From Date of shipment to address details of shipper and receiver. All of the sudden they cannot pull the data from their website! A full disclosure, I work for a shipping center that uses all carriers, I never recommend the Post Office to anyone. Even our daily pick ups don't take place as they should, we often have to call to have a carrier stop by. The sad thing is I can count a dozen or so trucks fueling across the street daily! The only pleasant thing of this journey is that the people that work at the Tewksbury Post Office are nice and super friendly. Delivery performance is a different story!

An absolute embarrassment! Called to find out why my package was not delivered due to "mailbox being blocked", spoke to supervisor and was met at my home by both the supervisor and mailman. First the supervisor was extremely rude, secondly he claimed that the little bit of snow in front of the street side maibox prevented him from delivering my package and mail. Whats embarrassing about this A.) WE LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND B.) THIS WAS A YOUNG DRIVER. C.) my old driver Charlie was more than past retirement age did more than this kid. I live on a dead end and the driver has to turn around anyway. When i asked why yhe driver didnt get out and just place the item in the mailbox i was told "he could slip and fall". Give me a break! God forbid the driver actually has to get out of the truck.

All in all I like this branch but there is one man who works at the window who always has his shirt untucked and appears to not care at all about the image he projects or how he acts. The other two gentlemen and a women are very professional and very nice to deal with. I'm sure anyone who has gone to the Tewksbury branch knows exactly what I am saying!
