I would recommend this vet! Unfortunately, my boy was 13 years old and very sick. I had brought him to Swansea ER vet twice previously within the prior 2 weeks. They essentially gave him a very grim diagnosis, but wanted more tests to the tune of $3k. When I took him to Taunton, he was critically ill, they agreed that it was his time. No BS, no additional tests, or more $, was going to change that. As sad as this was for us, they were honest and compassionate to both myself and my dying cat. They took care of everything. They even sent us card after with messages from the entire staff and his paw print. I will absolutely bring my next kitty there from day one. I'm not there yet, but they will 100% be my vet when I am.

I've been bringing my cats to Taunton Cat Hospital for 30+ years. It was great when Donna was there. It's horrible now. I have a very old cat who's been sick for close to a year. She has had numerous expensive tests and prescribed several medications, none of which did anything to help her. But, that's not really the issue. I've had many appointments with my cat. Every time I bring her in, I get a new tech (they call themselves nurses now!), who asks me about the cat's history. It's in the chart!!! Why do I have to reiterate everything, every time I have a new appointment? I made the TECH look it up last time. So, now, my poor baby is getting worse and I think the best thing for her is to be put to sleep. I called and was given two very short-notice appointments (one this afternoon, and one tomorrow morning). I couldn't do either one of those and I asked for the next week. I was told the next appointment available was October. OCTOBER!!! seriously?!! I am DONE, DONE, DONE with this vet. I honestly think I've hung on so long because of how much I loved it when Donna was there, and made myself believe it was still the best... it's not. Also, because it is close to my house. But, no more, I will find a new place.

That place is ridiculous. I called with an emergency I live in Taunton. I do not have a ride because somebody smashed and totaled my car so I’m currently waiting for a paycheck to get a new one. I called them and asked them if they could see my cat it was an emergency, she started throwing up after she had her baby they told me unfortunately they couldn’t help me. Couldn’t even give me any other information besides, they’re not taking on new clients until the beginning of the year. Great help they are.

Extremely caring and thorough office! My cat has never done great with vets in the past but has no problems and is super friendly here! They always take the time to answer all my questions, appointments never feel rushed and they always are able to see my Kitty in a timely manner. Calls to check in, can’t thank them enough!

They have been great! I'm so glad I chose the Taunton Cat Hospital. I have 3 orange boys (cats) who steal hearts. One of which is a feral and they were able to get him the care that he needed. I'm very glad that I chose the Taunton Cat Hospital for my pets care.

First time here and all I can say is wow! 6 years as a client at another vet in town and I can say I have never had such exceptional care given to my cat. The staff at The Cat Hospital loveeee their patients. They took such time and care with my boy and I am so grateful for that. Plus the environment is super cat friendly - all you hear are little meows from patients - no upsetting, stressful barks. So glad I found them!

Lauren and Dr. Fitzgerald were great. I have a very anxious cat, who has never had medical care. There was no shame or belittling they were happy to just start her care and come up with a plan to make sure she is healthy. The exam rooms and waiting areas are designed to keep your cat at ease. Although the care was pricey- it was a thorough visit and I was consented and informed of prices, risks and benefits before proceeding with any treatment. Padmè got free snacks the entire time and they kept her very comfortable, and did only what she allowed!
Thank you ?

Forgive me for the lengthy review, but I believe this is worth the read if you also have a cat who tends to be a bit difficult to examine due to their anxiety.I have been bringing my cats to TCH for a little while now, and I can't give enough praise for the level of exceptional care they ALWAYS provide. A recent visit with one of my cats, who is very defensive when in an unfamiliar place, compelled me to write a review. If you are a new cat parent or are looking to switch from a previous location, TCH is the place to go!My cat is a sweetheart, but like many, she becomes anxious/upset in unfamiliar environments. She gets overwhelmed easily and tends to lash out as a result. I've had less-than-pleasant encounters at a different clinic where the staff seemed uninterested in finding a way to work with my grouchy girl. I try to be understanding because I understand that burnout is very real when it comes to this profession... With that said, it was a different story at TCH, especially because of Dr. Abby Fitzgerald and Cat.Dr. Fitzgerald and Cat were incredibly patient, calm, and gentle with my girl. They truly went above and beyond, taking extra measures such as moving slowly, speaking quietly, and even doing my cat's examinations on the FLOOR to ensure she felt less exposed and overwhelmed on the exam table. TCH also makes use of FELIWAY-infused towels as well as FELIWAY diffusers, which has been shown to have calming effects on cats. The result? A surprisingly smooth experience. Although she gave a couple of hisses and swats, she was far more cooperative than in previous experiences. In the past (at different clinics), my girl would run and hide under the bed for hours after a visit to the vet as she would be so anxious. But, at our TCH visit? She walked out of her carrier and took a nap on the cat tree as if nothing ever happened when we came home. She also didn't say a "word" on the car ride back home (she is often vocal in the car, as she was very displeased on our commute TO the clinic). The TCH team, including Dr. Zilinski and Dr. Lovelace who have also seen/treated my other cats, are consistently kind, caring, and welcoming to questions. Bryana and Julie have also become familiar faces to my cats, and their hard work and presence is always appreciated. My family and I are always cautious with who we trust with our fluffy family members, and I can confidently say that I can put my trust in anyone at TCH when it comes to the well-being of my cats.In summary, TCH stands out as the kindest, most patient, and most trustworthy team for your cats. They go above and beyond to make it a smooth experience for anxious cats, and all while keeping everyone safe. Oh, and don't forget to say hello to the adorable resident cat, Babyface!
