This store gets 2 stars because on a Sunday afternoon when the store was crazy busy there was 1 line open and then the self checkout. The lines for both were LONG. Can Target not afford to have another couple of people on to have the checkout flow nicely? It's ridiculous that the cost of food and home goods have gone way up but customer service has gone WAY down. I won't be coming back to this Target.

I live just up the street from here, and shop here almost daily, due to my schedule, mostly during evening hours. The staff I deal with regularly, are without a doubt some of the nicest, most helpful people I've ever met in retail! However, I made the mistake of going there during the day a couple times recently, and I have to say, it's like night and day! The people they have working up front, at self check during the day are rude, and have no customer service skills whatsoever! I spent 25mins. Just trying to get the register at self check out to take my 5 dollar bill, I asked several different staff members if they could help me, or exchange my 5 for a newer bill or 5 ones, but they claimed their register was locked, another one said , I would have to void out my whole thing and try a different register, so I did, and another 15mins later had the same result. And still, was on my own to figure it out .. my total was around $40, everything was paid except $4.45 , it just refused to take my 5 bucks, eventually I got so frustrated, I just slammed the 5 down on the register and got out of there.. I made a note, to only shop there at night when the 2 super nice ladies, who work around self check out are on duty, they really are awesome! They know me by name, and they spoil my little dog (who goes everywhere with me) they carry treats with them, and he always looks for them. I think their names are Pam and Deb, or Donna, I'm terrible with names, but the main ladies that work up front around self checkout. Anyway I just can't say enough about them! There's even been a couple times over this last year that I went over my cc limit, by a couple bucks, embarrassing as it was, instead of having to put something back, Pam just whips out a couple of ones and a minute later, I was on my way!! Where are u gonna find good, genuine, people who will help a customer, they don't even know personally?? They make me feel welcome, and for that, I'll continue to shop there regularly! But only at night, you couldn't pay me to shop there during the day.

It's a typical Target. Aisles needed some TLC, particularly in the clothing and toys areas. Men's shoe selection is poor.

While they have very good products it is very hard to find clothes as it seems it is not put together correctly as well as the shoes Other than that no problems I found underneath things the actual things I needed. Maybe more staff is needed

I just spoke with a manager about an hour ago about the condition of this store. I've never seen any store that looks like this one, with clothing strewn all over the place, racks, shelves and floors. I was planning on shopping there, but the conditions were so poor that I left. He told me it's a staffing issue. I said regional or national management needs to find a way to pay enough to attract personnel. I was also thinking that instead of being in the back doing whatever he was doing - maybe accounting for new shipments - he and the other two employees who were either behind the service counter or standing near the entrance doing not sure what? could have been inside straightening current stock and thus making it more likely that it will get purchased. These disgraceful conditions are also on the people who shop at the store. I'm a native of Taunton, and just because we're a working-class town doesn't mean people need to act classless and like they were raised in caves. If the Target CEO were to walk in here, pretty sure every last person would be out of a job. It's mind blowing.

I had a shopping experience at the store today, and I have to say, the products and prices were as expected. However, I couldn't help but notice some issues with the store's management. I stood in line at the only open register for a good 3 minutes, and the line didn't budge. So, I decided to try the self-checkout, and it was a breeze. Even though the self-checkout line was long, it moved really quickly. When I left the store, I couldn't help but notice that the line at the only open register still hadn't moved. It seemed like nobody was paying attention to the long lines and adding more staff to the registers. People in the lines were clearly getting frustrated, and it's frustrating to see such a simple problem not being addressed. With more people manning the registers, those lines could be cleared up in no time.

Cody is a young man as a cashier today. I went to get a bottle of water near his lane and he said he could help me if I was ready. I let him know I had a little bit more shopping to do. He asked if I would be using a debit card today, I answered I would be. He let me know of a nationwide issue affecting target today where debit cards would not work. Cash and credit would still work. I thanked him because knowing that before shopping would be helpful for many planning to use their debit card. When I finished shopping I went to his lane and he was helping the lady before me save money on her two books by using the circle app. It’s refreshing to see young workers who put in the effort to make great experiences.

My daughter went into the Taunton location this morning and was told to leave by a male employee because of her t-shirt. He approached her and asked her to put on a sweatshirt, which she obviously didn't have because it's 80 degrees outside. He then told her she had to leave. I attempted to reach out to customer service who said that's not their policy and they'd "deal with it" however I won't know that it's been resolved or receive an apology for anonymity reasons. What about the humiliation she suffered? Not their problem I guess. absolutely disgusted. I've seen people in that store with NO shirt on and that's okay?
