I got 4 baby Easter egg layer chickens in early June. When the baby chicks were about 5 weeks old I put them in a large box and had my brother watch them while I went on an overnight stay. One of the chicks got out and it could not be found. We thought it was gone for good. Several days later my brother thought he found a strange bird in his garage. He did not recognise it as one of the chickens that he had watched over for a night. He had my nephew bring the "strange bird" to The New England Reptile & Raptor Place. He presented the resident raptor expert Marla Isaac with my 5 well old chicken and she was unable to identify it as a chicken and thought it was some kind of game bird. About five days later I was told about this bird and shown pictures my nephew had taken of it. I was shocked when I saw the pictures. It was "Jimmy" my baby Easter egg layer chicken. How did Marla Isaac not know this was a chicken? With high hopes and images of a happy reunion with her three sister I called the next day after having seen the pictures of my baby birdie. Marla had the bird for about 5 days now. When I spoke to her over the phone she said the bird was gone. I asked to where and she said to some farm but did not know where. She had no idea who she gave my bird to. This seems odd that no records are kept on the animals brought to her care. I told her I was afraid that the chicken would end up being feed to the raptors, She got incensed and hung up on me. Im scared for my birdie I don't know where she is or what's happened to her. I just want my "Jimmy" back. Any suggestion out there?

The facility is not open to the public, but the shows put on by this organization are amazing educational experiences like few others. You can hire them for your event. It will be a hit.
