I've never had any issues with the employees working there. Food is a little more expensive but not necessarily better than other local grocery stores. Sometimes they don't have the items on sale but that is no one's fault, usually a distribution/delivery problem. I find the employees to be very accommodating and friendly. Meat and fish quality is good, produce just so/so.

My 2yo had an epic meltdown tonight in the Taunton store because we lost a small toy frog along the way. I was losing patience with the tantrum and a staff member combed the aisles while I paid for my groceries to find it. This girl deserves some recognition because she really saved the day. Thank you for being so understanding, I do love my home store!

Worst grocery store I've ever been to. They never stock there shelf's, it's the only grocery store in the area so I just think they don't care. Terribly managed I guess. Every time I go there I have to go somewhere else to get about 10 items that weren't restocked, like water they are always out of cases of water.

God forbid you want paper bags, instead of plastic. I did not even see that they had the option, (as they didn't ask if I had a preference) until I was almost all checked out. I asked them to switch to paper, and the bagger starts just putting the plastic bags right into the paper bags, sort of defeating the purpose of using paper. Now I didn't have very many items, about 14 total, maybe 4 bags max. The cashier and the bagger both sigh, as if this is the biggest inconvenience in the world for them. Then they just start dumping my groceries upside down into the paper bags. A carton of milk, upside down, and then a 5 lb bag of sugar right on top of that. Tomatoes, on the bottom, squished next to bananas. So I ask for my items and some extra bags, and say I'll just do it myself, since they obviously are both completely incompetent at the one job that they have. They both continue to give me even MORE attitude, and mutter "WOW!", not even under their breath, but within earshot, to add insult to my injury. Um, well excuse me. Because of poor weather, I start to re-bag my items while near the exit door. A manager type person comes up, asks if I'm ok, and I'm frustrated at the experience, that should have been a pretty simple transaction, so I say no, but let him know that I will be fine. Then he asks for my number and name, saying he will call and follow up with me. Now I have no idea what kind of follow up that could be, but then the bagger comes up and gives me items I bought that they never even placed in my bag! Good thing I was still standing there! And then, there NEVER was a follow up, so I would really like to know why they bothered to write down my name and number! Seems like that was just for show! Extremely disappointed, maybe if he'd have given me a coupon, or something, or rectified the situation right there at that moment, or even done nothing at all, I would not be writing this scathing review. But the fact I was LIED to, is very upsetting, I regret giving this person my information, as there was no point in it! Don't give awful customer service, and then LIE to the customer! Really wish that Hannaford's had better service, as it's a decent grocery store, but because of the horrific customer service I received, I had to come to Yelp to give them one star. Two thumbs down, Hannaford's of Taunton, you need to do better. All I wanted was paper bags, not plastic, that really should not be that big of a deal. I feel especially violated, to be asked for my personal information and given empty promises of a follow up that never happened. Honestly, I was not expecting much, but, would like to know what happened of my name and number, that is not something I just want to be floating around. Very, very, poor customer service. A simple "paper or plastic?", at the beginning of my checkout and none of this would have ever happened. Maybe you need to train your employees to start asking that, instead of assuming everyone wants plastic, when you carry both options. Thank you for your time to read this review. -cs

Awesome to deal with when they are open and Thats the only reason they even got a 2 ... cuz apparently thw hours listed are not true. I was there at 3:30 on sun and they were closed and apparently were at 1:00 and not reopening till Monday ... Prehaps update the hours or be open

Great store, prices are a little on the high end but the produce is always fresh, nice selection of hot prepared foods at diner and great bakery items. Deli is excellent with a well stocked wide selection of prepackaged deli meats and cheese ready to go, if you don't want to wait. Plenty of checkout registers and self check out registers available

My all-time favorite grocery store! Hannaford Supermarket always has everything we need. From grocery basics to specialty items, Hannaford has it! Their staff is also just as friendly as they are helpful. We always look forward to our weekly shop at Hannaford.

The selection is great. The rewards app is very easy to use. However, the staff puts this store above all others. Everyone there is friendly and ready to help customers. I just cannot say enough about them.

I really enjoy the setup in here. It’s quiet during the week and the prices aren’t bad compared to other chains like Shaw’s, Stop & Shop, and Roche Bros.

My 1st trip there today to grab a few items. Jayson in meats was very helpful recommending a substitute for skirt steak that they did not have. Made carne asada and it was amazing. The meat was fork tender. Chris C in produce was also very nice and helpful with finding some items. All around perfect customer service!
