We’ve had five pets treated here over the past 15 years and I’ve always been very happy with the care that they received. Most of the time you can get an appointment within a couple hours. The entire staff has always been kind and excellent to deal with. ER care is never cheap, but their prices are fair compared to many other clinics we’ve visited while away from the area.

Great place, I didn't go there the other day I was walking by and that's why it's picking up I guess. However this place is amazing they helped me with two of my dogs that needed emergency medical attention previously a few years ago. Unfortunately just like anything else it is extremely expensive when you have to pay for Emergency Medical Services specially for your dogs. Yeah when it's needed it's needed so they did take care of my dog's and they did a good job.

We made an appointment for 12pm. Was told to wait in car in case she was contagious. We did not get in until 12:30. They said they were going to shave my dog and take her blood then they brought her out back. 1 hr later after waiting I am told they did nothing while she was back there and I requested my dog back with me for the remainder of the wait. The doctor came in at 2pm said they were understaffed decided not to do bloodwork put her on a liquid antibiotic and requested a hair sample in case it was ringworm. A tech comes in and then tells me to hold my dogs face so that she doesnt bite her while she takes the sample. Im uncomfortable thinking neh not gonna hold my dogs face you probably should have a muzzle or a better way of doing this. She tells me theyre understaffed and to just hold her face. (I am a veteran and my dog is a registered fully trained service dog and she only bites on command and this was entirely unethical and just weird). After three hours i am told to bring her out into the public lobby to pay and they will give me her medicine and a cone. I go out to the public lobby not knowing if she has ringworm so possibly contaminating everything. I get to the desk and see the bill it says capsule antibiotics i ask what happened the dr said liquid I am told they decided that was cheaper for me not ever discussing if I wanted the cheaper option. (I wanted the liquid because I told them shes been having trouble with her mouth) The ladies at the desk are amazing honestly the best part of our visit and im thankful to them. They fixed the bill so it reflected liquid and when i told them they forgot the cone they called out back. They then told me to put my dog in the car so she didnt contaminate anything literally after having her in the public lobby for another half an hour. Then that same rude tech chelsea comes out with a bag of liquid medicine and a cone hands it to me and says “3 liquid bottles so 14ml twice a day” and i say “okay so i just give that to her?” And she literally said “yup” no side effects discussed and walked off. First of all, she never showed me how to put the cone on so the nice desk ladies showed me and shes the same one who told me to hold my dogs face. Understaffed or not the passion, empathy and professionalism is lacking. Highly disappointed and if my dog has any other issues that werent taken seriously by this facility I will be following through with the legal due process.

My cat was meowing very loudly for a few weeks now, we could tell that she was in pain. In the afternoon she hid under our porch, so we decided that we would take her to the vet. We got to the vet and i explained to the receptionist that my cat was quite old ( about 20) and that we could tell she was in pain and constipated. We made it very clear that we wanted her to be checked out for her constipation and whatever other pain she was experiencing. They take her to the back and take us into another room to fill out forms and wait for the doctor. As im reading the forms i realize that THEY ARE ABOUT TO EUTHANIZE MY CAT. i franticly ran out of the room to the receptionist to tell her that we did not want our cat put down, we wanted her checked out and to get better. They already had started the liquid IV and were going to kill my cat without hesitation. So after i explained to them that was not at all what i was intending, they then gave her a sonogram, bloodwork, and removed the feces blocking her bowels. After all of this they charged me $900. I guess they dont do any discount for trying to put your cat down without your okay. Take your pet ANYWHERE else if you care about them, or if you just don't like being scammed.

Never been here before, we were at my mom’s house in Westport and the vets and vet hospitals we called recommended going here. They did a great job with Jake and quickly. Entire time there was maybe 40 minutes and in that time they did his blood work, X-rayed his leg and got us the meds he needs.

Highly recommend!
My cat got her tail stuck in our power recliner (she was hiding under it and we had no idea, she never goes under there). Her tail was definitely broken and needed to be amputated. They got her in as quickly as they could, and took good care of her. They even cleaned her up (she peed herself) and the carrier, too.
She is recovering well. They used dissolving sutures so we don't have to put her through the discomfort of removal. And they sent her home with pain meds (she's been doing well without them the past couple days).
They made a very scary time less traumatic!
It was under $1200, which I understand may sound like a lot to some people. But considering everything they did for her, it's a very fair price. It's all part of the cost of pet ownership!
Thank you all for taking good care of Leona ?

Best of the Best. Kind, caring employees!! Our cat was dying and this was the only vet that would help us the SAME day we called!

Dirty and unorganized environment. Staff from the Receptionists to the Vet MD was very rushed with attitude. I felt that the Vet Tech did an excellent job in listening and explaining the process. Will not be coming back as overall I did not have a great experience nor a good vibe. My fur babies deserve better!

I don’t even know how to detail this. My dog hurt her leg about 3 months back and was limping, but other than that normal. We figured it was probably a sprain we’d keep an eye on it. We have 4 dogs and sometimes things like that happen. She is also a husky and has a sassy attitude. I went away to help a family member for 2 weeks out of state and right before I left she was being picky with her food. While I was gone she lost drastic weight which she was lean before so she didn’t have a crazy amount of weight she could afford to lose. She’s lanky. We have given this dog whatever she will eat. Changed her dog food twice, gave wet food, boiled chicken, rice fresh veggies and fruit, and other meat she is allowed to eat to gain some weight. When I got there I knew I’d have to explain that to them on top of her knee which at this point I believe I should’ve taken her sooner. You know things just happen sometimes and you try the best you can. She had a brace at home and I was icing and heating her knee with some light stretches and I was letting her rest. The vet that came in while she didn’t blatantly say anything rude, her attitude and face said it all. I was told by bay state over the phone to go to this location for an xray so that bay state could do a consult. When I told this place they said that she acted like I was lying and said they don’t even do that there. Maybe they misunderstood me over the phone, but that’s what baystate told me. I had a hard time even finding a vets office to even take her and look at her. I tell the vet this and she kept saying what do you mean. Treated me like I was lying and a POS. Wrote on the paperwork going to the surgical consult I was a neglectful owner. When I left this place with their recommendations on a surgeon I had an appointment made not even an hour later. They never even asked me about her eating, barely gave me the time of day. They were brief and treated me without compassion. The only people that treated me with dignity there were the two women at the front desk as I was bawling my eyes out paying. I am so devastated after this visit. As a dog owner you love them and try the best you can. Like anything else sometimes you make the wrong decisions with the best intentions. They had no right to make me feel that way. If they were concerned instead of judging and looking down on me they could have politely educated me on what I could of done and what I can do moving forward. You never know what people are dealing with that might’ve delayed a visit. Not everything is cut and dry.
Attached is a picture of my baby who while hurt her leg wasn’t showing anything more than a little discomfort. Weight was good.
Update: We took Nova to the specialist today and they told us she has Osteosarcoma. She has bone cancer.
Update: She was laid to rest shortly after the last update.

I brought my cat Mittens in there on Saturday August 10 2024. She ate a piece of packing slipped and was sick all day and all night. They took her in back, said they were going to do an x-ray. The vet came back in after quite some time. I was actually in there for almost 5 hours. She said that she could see an obstruction, but it had gone into the intestines, but they could not tell if it was moving, they said they could give me a quote for two different procedures to do a test to see if it was moving . This test was like $1200 and it’s going to do nothing to help my cat and that would leave me with no money if she needed surgery. They acted like I was a bad parent told me that the only other thing I could do is take her home to see if She would passed it. They charged me $513.44 just to do an x-ray and treat me like a bad pet Parent. I will never go there again. While I was standing paying the money, I heard them tell this couple there pet had passed it would be And $297 to get their pet cremated if they didn’t want the ashes if they wanted the ashes, it would be $597. To me it seems they think only rich people should have pets. They are only in it for the money and lots of it! It cost less for my X-rays.
