Went here to get my 1890 Waltham pocket watch restored, they did a great job and the price was reasonable. They won me as a customer. Went back to have a grandfather clock that I recently purchased worked on and they refused to do it as they "don't work on grandfather clocks anymore". If that's the case, don't advertise that you work on grandfather clocks. Then, I brought a mantle clock to them that needed a spring replaced as the mechanism had been restored. The guy insisted it would be $800 at least to do it. I did it myself for the price of a spring and it took about and hour. Total ripoff. Giving them one last chance, I needed a click spring for a Seth Thomas movement, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and insisted they "don't have those". I'm sorry, but you can't really be a watch and clock shop without click springs. Take your business elsewhere, these people need to retire.

This is primarily a shop that displays an impressive number of clocks for sale, and repairs clocks and watches. The gentleman and his wife who own the shop are old school, very charming, and very helpful. The owner/watch-clock repairman only changed my watch battery on the spot for $15, which is a fair price around here. And on a Sunday afternoon at that. But far more interesting and entertaining was conversation with other customers who were there for clocks and were obviously repeat customers. A first-rate place and conveniently located.

If you need repairs or a beautiful new timepiece, Phillips is the place to go. The location has parking on street right in front and next to the building. There are an array of gorgeous grandfather clocks from traditional design to modern in the store. There are table clocks, pocket watches, wall clocks, and the owner is a very knowledgeable nice man. I brought my newly acquired used pocket watch which gave me trouble when setting the moon phase. He quoted me a very reasonable price and told me he would have it for me the next day. Sure enough, when I returned the next day, he had repaired it so I could adjust the moon phase. He had found that the stem was worn smooth, so he scored it so I could get it to catch when I turned the stem. Brilliant! I returned to buy a beautiful clock I had seen in his window. I'm going to be a regular customer from here on.

My friend took a clock in there. This is a rare place that they don't hardly exist anymore. This couple has worked there for many many years. Their knowledge or the man's knowledge must be huge. Pop in and look at all the clocks.
