Vet clinic at Swampscott inside Vet Co is horrible they were rude and lazy. They did not want to take my pet because she had a little growl. Ridiculous rude vet as well as vet tech will not be back please do not bring your pet here worst experience ever never going back lost a loyal customer. Also have horrible services please if you care about your pet avoid at all costs. Also traveld 30 minutes each way just to find out she couldn’t be vaccinated Insane this place really sucks.

Went to get my cat vaccinated and the girl giving shot (her name was Alana or Amelia, something like that) and I can say will full confidence that I have never in all my life encountered an employee so rude. The second we walked through the door she flat out told us no that we were too late and REFUSED to even try to look up the appointment. As we were leaving, this girl even had the audacity to mutter under her breath about how she wanted to go home.I was so flabbergasted and furious at this girl’s attitude that I immediately turned on my heel an reported, as it turns out, she was scheduled to work another but just decided to cut the day short.I told the manager this would be last time coming to this and that Alana (whatever. You know who you are) was without a doubt the RUDEST person I had ever come in contact, and that if I ever see this girl again I will report her.This spoiled little brat actually denied me service because she wanted to go home early and had the nerve to complain about US simply because we wanted to do her job.Alana Amelia Amy Rose whatever you’re name is; you shouldn’t be trusted with people OR animals as you very obviously do not care about either and only for yourself. If I ever see you again, I will refuse to give you business. You should really learn to grow up before taking a job like this.

Appointment times mean nothing to this location. Both visits resulted in being seen an hour after appointment time. Little to no communication. They should stop creating 5min appointment slots that they cannot keep up with, it's unfair to both customers and the employees who can't keep up with that demand.

I am appalled and disgusted at the fact that in this age of technology, where we have the most up to date information at our fingertips, Petco still chooses to sell betta fish in tiny plastic cups. A simple google search will tell you that a single betta fish needs a MINIMUM of 1 gallon of water to live healthily. Petco has about 16-20 of these tiny, tepid cups of water housing their betta fish stock. And these fish look bad- unsurprising considering the above information. How Petco can condone this is beyond me. I get it, they're a corporation, so they only really care about profits. But the absolute least they could do is store the betta fish in appropriate-sized tanks. Customers see them in their little cups and assume that is the appropriate amount of space for them, when it absolutely is not. These fish are slowly suffocating to death and Petco doesn't care. They might say "it's ok because it's short term, it's just for a few days until they get sold." Guarantee the betta fish they are selling aren't getting snapped up in a couple days because 1) they look unhealthy, and 2) how big of a market is there for betta fish? They probably get thrown in the dumpster once they inevitably die, or start looking too bad to sell. This is just one of the many problems with the for-profit pet industry. Petco, do better, or STOP SELLING BETTA FISH.

Walk In grooming for nail trim. Have been other places no problem. After wards her nails were jagged and splintered. She bleed as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

My regular groomer was on vacation so I thought I would give Petco a try plus it's much closer. My first time grooming appointment at Petco for my two dogs and DEFINITELY my last! HORRIBLE customer service from Jessica the groomer. Extremely rude and condescending. She was more concerned about me signing forms (while I was cleaning up p*** off the floor and trying to hold on to my dog at the same time) than she was about meeting my dog. She put her hand down for him to sniff then put a slip lead around his neck and just about dragged him out back. I just wanted shampoo, nails and shaved. No style. She said he was difficult because he kept laying down and dogs should be able to stand if they're going to be groomed. If she can't deal with dogs that may be a little difficult she shouldn't be a groomer or maybe needs to be re-trained!

Excellent costumer service! Everyone there goes the extra mile. Rounds of applause to Lindy the general manager. She goes above and beyond for you and your pet. She is patient, friendly, professional and super knowledgeable. I feel at home when I'm there. Thank you for your extraordinary service.

This review is for Paige in Grooming. I was very disappointed with the previous grooming team because after going there for several years with my two dogs I realized they were overcharging me. I found out after logging on and booking a grooming appt online that she had been overcharging me for each dog by about $15. She was adding additional services/enhancements that I didn't request (oatmeal shampoo, some kind of nail treatment, maybe buffing or something, etc.). The other groomer also told me my dogs were extremely difficult and only she could take them. Anyway, I was so upset by how she treated me I called to speak to the manager. I was then given the runaround by the staff who answered the phone that she was busy and couldn't come to the phone., I said I would wait and he said she would be a while, I said no problem, but I could tell they were trying to avoid putting her on the phone. Anyway....after that I was so disheartened by the whole store I was about to go to Kissable Paws or Petsmart; that is until I spoke with Paige. Paige was absolutely darling and so kind. She said she had heard my dogs were "difficult" but was willing to give them a try to see how the grooming went, so that she did. I brought them in and Paige called me halfway through the appt and said they were doing great! A little while later I picked them up and she said they were no issue at all and they were actually very good! I was thrilled. Sadie came out with little bows on her ears for the first time ever and Sammy came out with a little bandana. I was so happy with my experience with Paige and will definitely go back because of her. She is an asset to Petco and a welcome breath of fresh air in the grooming salon.

My boyfriend and I went in to Petco today to look at mice as a pet. We just went in to look at the mice. An employee asked if we needed help and we said no we were just looking but thank you. However, we went into petco with slim knowledge of mice as pets or even a chameleon. Lindy, the employee who helped us, was extremely knowledgeable and an all around awesome person! She taught us about so many different reptiles and other animals. Extremely personable and reliable person. A good and trusting vibe was gathered from her. We will be back to see her if we decide to get any pet of any kind! Thank you Lindy!!!!!!

The staff really know about the animals. The products they have are whats good for your pet, not whats most popular and they'll explain it to you well! This is hands down the best store and experience I've ever had at a pet store. I highly suggest going here first and not wasting your time anywhere else! You wont be disappointed

Went in to buy dog food as I had a gift card, girl at the register asks if I have a rewards card, I say yes but I think it's under my old phone number...which it was. I say can we update my number, she says ....after I wait on the person behind you. I say ok. He finishes, I say ok, then she looks at the other 2 people approaching and says ,you'll have to wait until after I ring them up too.....are you kidding?? If 2 more people come am I suppose to wait for them too? I say never mind, good bye! Bad customer service Never going back!

The groomer(Kate) did a great job. She even added a little bow to her hair. So cute. My dog smelled great. She gave her the cut that i asked for. Im really really happy with the result. See before and after pics
