“Carter Park Fitness is a great place to workout and progress as a community. My wife and I signed up while visiting family back in Boston -and the gym is top notch. They have great equipment and free weights and most important they have great instructors and members. We were welcomed by Koki and right away we felt included as part of the team. Whether you’re starting or an avid cross fitter I would recommend this place 10/10. Can’t wait to go back to Boston and work out in this gym again!”

“Christian is an absolutely amazing coach. I have been here for almost 5 weeks and my journey has been so fun. I come mainly to the afternoon classes and Christian has been my main coach. He is very welcoming, knowledgeable and caring. He takes time during our workouts to make sure everybody is doing their best. He also makes sure everybody has proper form to minimise the risk of injuries. He also is very encouraging!! I am so glad I joined.”

“I have been going to Mike Boyle and seeing Coach Nico for many years. My kids started going with their sports teams and I got tired of watching and waiting so started working out myself. It was the best decision and kept me in shape! More recently, I have gone through breast cancer and had a Double Mastectomy. The workouts got me ready for surgery and helped me recover. It was a place that gave me so much support and encouragement! I believe it is so important to get ready for any surgery for a faster recovery but the staff is so supportive, like family, that the emotional support goes a long way as well! Thank you Nico and the whole Mile Boyle family!”

“This is the best gym I've ever trained martial arts at and it's for a great price. $139-159 based on your plan and it includes a full weight room with free weights, over a dozen martial arts classes throughout the week, plenty of open mat space for training on your own, and a locker room with showers and towels provided by the gym. The instructors and staff are super friendly and the community at the gym is also great.”

“I’ve been going to Alta Performance for almost 2 months now and I love how they customize the programs to fit each client’s personal needs. They’re experts with the educational background and knowledge at working on balance, strength and conditioning.The level of challenge is just right, they won’t push you too hard but they won’t let you seat on your comfort zone.The facility is very well kept with top notch equipments and it has an upbeat vibe.It’s conveniently located on Broadway in Saugus, and it has plenty of parking space.Shannon and Michael are awesome and I love going there!I highly recommend Alta Performance for anyone who is looking for an ultimate strength and conditioning program. “I have been searching for a gym that offers a variety of group fitness classes at a time that works with my work schedule. Best Fitness does that. The staff was very welcoming from the very beginning. I was nervous being an older woman and not in great shape that the classes would be too difficult and not welcoming. I couldn’t be more wrong. Every instructor is encouraging, enthusiastic, asking about injuries, and offering modifications if needed. I have made going to the gym part of my day for the past 6 weeks and I couldn’t be happier! “So I’m on a construction site . ( I’m an electrician ) I’m on and industrial site at break having a protein shake … A co worker laughs at me and tells me I’m drinking garbage .he tells me about his personal trainer who had tons of experience and is a wizard about body composition and chemistry even beyond the dynamics a person trainer usually knows .I’m like yeah , yeah whatever man .He gives me the information for this place called GYM WARRIORS in Peabody at the time .I go and get some advice on diet plan and a suggestion for workout program ( skeptical mind you )After discussing things for a while and comming up with a plan with Paul DSimone leading the way with his extensive knowledge he suggests just doing a personal training session and seeing what he can do for me .So I take him up and do a trial workout .He asked me what group to workout and also explained good programs to follow and walked me through an amazing workout .I was tired and had pushed more than I usually would have but also felt like training was more complete than most I had followed previous .The guy knows his stuff for sure .I’m happy he’s a mom and pop because the attention you get for personal training is more tailored and better than you’re going to get anywhere else .He lives this stuff and it shows .It’s a no brainer GYM WARRIORS is the place to workout .Get some personal training regimen programs from him , let him guide you through some awesome workouts .The supplements are natural organic stuff . “Wow-- I love this place. I've been looking for a new gym and considering a few of the high-quality gyms around Boston. After narrowing it down to Equinox and Republic Fitness, I decided to do trials at both. Equinox was nice, but Republic Fitness truly impressed me. Republic Fitness has all the features you'd expect at a nicer gym (new workout equipment, clean locker room, etc.) But it was the staff that made me sign up for a full membership immediately. From my first day, Lindsey was very helpful showing me around, and all the trainers seemed friendly and helpful. And the front desk-- amazing! Rooska and Tanisha are both incredibly friendly and supportive. While I found other gyms exuded an attitude of detached "coolness", Rooska and Tanisha led the way in making Republic Fitness feel warm and inviting. So glad I found this place!”

“Can't say enough good things about this place and its people. I've been a member a little less than a year and in that time have met countless amazing people and gotten to know the EBF team a bit. They put a lot of effort into the culture that they create and it shows. It's one thing to create a great fitness experience, but to do so in an environment that creates psychological safety with inclusive and uplifting energy is a rare find. As a fat queer person who has spent time in a bunch of boutique fitness spaces in Boston, this is easily the most affirming. The team is thoughtful, responsive to feedback, and takes steps to make personal relationships with clients. Hands down my favorite place to sweat. Also, the sauna is A+”

“By far the best MMA gym in Boston and arguably in the country. I’ve travelled quite a bit for work over the years and popped into various MMA gyms over time and UFC Gym Financial District Boston has it together better than the dozens of other gyms I’ve tried. I had the pleasure of enjoying their services for a couple years living close by and it’s always been a great atmosphere for focus and progression. If you want to compete in a combat setting they’ll help you push yourself to the point where you’re ready and set up the match. If you only want a new, interesting, and challenging hobby they’ll keep you moving forward at whatever pace your life allows. It’s all about what you want to put into it and that’s well respected here by everyone. The Muay Thai program with Kru Sam was my highlight. His class was hardcore conditioning to prepare you for legitimate Muay Thai matches. If you stay dedicated Kru Sam will dedicate himself to you. He won’t let up unless you want him to and adds a very calculated intelligence to every movement he teaches and will make sure you move with maximum efficiency. Coaches Tyler and Eric provide superb expertise in their jiu jitsu program as well. Every class I attended with them I learned something new and valuable in efficiently joint locking and choking out my opponents. Levan, the primary coach for the HIIT program, does an excellent job at crafting sessions that will get you feeling like you’re working towards your physical goals and he’s very knowledgeable when it comes to training and diet. They also have plenty of pads, weights, and machines to work with to get you in top form. On top of all this the owner, Jason, is an active part of the community and is very amenable to make sure that you are taken care of when it comes to payment scheduling keeping everything fair. Plus he’s just a great dude in general that’s very much earned his place here. If you want a community of good people to progress in your physical goals and leave each class feeling humbled but like a total badass at the same time, this is your place. It’s worth every penny.”

“Friendly staff, kept clean and a great location... can't ask for much more! Signing up was easy and the woman behind the front desk was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Everyone does their part to keep the equipment clean which is easy due to the supplies left out by the staff. I emailed the manager of the gym with a question before joining and he was quick to respond and answered everything. I have never had to wait for equipment due to the abundance of treadmills, bikes and weights. Getting to the gym can be hard! Beacon Hill Athletic Club makes it easier.”

“I’ve been to every gym in the area and Flex has really turned it around the past few months. Fired the manager Marcelino/Mauricio (something along those lines) who would try to stare you down while lifting and was a very inappropriate personal trainer I’ve heard… Also it was always clean from what I’ve seen but has gotten cleaner. Plenty of cardio and everything works as it should. If something breaks it’s generally fixed within a day or two. Wish it had a plate loaded shoulder press, but no where is perfect, still a great gym and would always recommend. ?”

“I’ve been doing 1:1 training and group classes with Danielle at Loyal Kingdom for at least a year. Danielle creates a non-judgmental environment for her clients. I had no prior experience with weight lifting or gym exercises. She created a plan that helped me feel empowered without any overwhelm while being in a new setting. She’s so positive and motivating so the gym becomes something you look forward to. Her expertise and experience affords her the opportunity to reach a wide range of clients with different levels of fitness goals. The boot camps have been so fun and a great work out! Even when I moved and was unable to make it into the gym, Danielle created a sustainable work out plan for me to continue my progress on my own.
