From the first discussion of flooring to the day of installation, everything was perfect. John and Pete did a super job and were great to have working in my home. I love my new floor! Will definitely come to Earth First if I have another job.

We had some communication troubles and delays during our installation process. Why still 5 stars? Because we got an excellent quality sustainable floor at what feels like a fair price from a local small business. We got personal, expert advice and service from the owner. We would hire them again.I wanted to wait more than 6 months with our new floor before writing this review. Our new maple floor is beautiful, and has been holding up perfectly. We had some initial concerns about how it was settling, and the owner came himself and explained what was going on (it’s our old house). The communication lags before and after the installation were frustrating, but it was during pandemic lockdowns, and things were tough for small businesses. There were labor and materials shortages, and we understood that. In the end, the owner always came through for us, and the worker who did the install was professional and did a (so far, seemingly) far better job than others we’ve used in the past.Thanks Earth First for giving us a really great, sustainably sourced floor.

John and the crew at Earth First did a great job for us. We were in a huge time crunch and Earth First really came through for us. Their work was beautiful. John’s attention to our needs for allergy friendly flooring was very appreciated. Highly recommend them.

We had a phenomenal experience working with Earth First. They were knowledgeable, quick, professional, and the workmanship was high quality. They helped deal with a moisture issue and uneven flooring. The flooring is custom cut around a brick hearth. The flooring is eco-friendly and has survived beautifully in a year of use. No scratching from our dogs.

Needed backsplash and flooring for my kitchen remodel and liked I could get it at one place. Was pleasantly surprised at the large selection and was given knowledgeable advice. The products and installation were top notch and very reasonably priced. John was so easy to work with and his aim is to satisfy the customer. Pete did an excellent job with the install. Very pleased with the whole process.

Earth First flooring was great! We loved that all of their products are environmentally sustainable. They made it super easy to choose what product would work best in our kitchen. They were very flexible about scheduling to fit our calendar. The price was excellent, and they installed it quickly. They were super friendly the whole time, and just generally a pleasure to work with. We love our new kitchen and bathroom floors, and are looking forward to a lifetime of enjoying it!

a quoted 3 day job turned into a 3 week job with them just showing up for an hour here and an hour there between other jobs, with very little or no notice. made a huge mess, tracked dirt everywhere, didn't tarp and filled the house with dust multiple times, damaged walls they didn't repair, installed cracked tiles, ruined a bathroom rug with boot prints, etc etc... just wholly unpleasant to deal with and i felt like i was constantly having to check in with them for them to actually finish the job correctly because they clearly didn't care. a firm zero stars for this nightmare business.

Just so pleased with the work done by John and Earth First Flooring. It was a pleasure to make an appointment to visit the store. Covid precautions are taken so only one customer is in the store at a time so it felt really safe and John was able to answer all of my questions about different products. I had been looking at flooring online and this was such a better experience to be able to see and touch each option. The selection of earth-friendly flooring was staggering and delightful. After looking through all the options, I decided to replace my old wall-to-wall carpet with Wicanders Cork Flooring in "Charm". Scheduling with Earth First for installation was easy, the installation and work went smoothly, and the final result is really beautiful. John was even able figure out how to use the leftover pieces to handle a last-minute request I made to change out the old flooring on a small landing! Would recommend this great shop to everyone!

We are very pleased with our new strand bamboo floor installed by Earth First Flooring. John helped us to pick the perfect flooring for our application and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The company and the installation crew were very professional and responsive in every aspect of our interaction.

John took care of our new home's floors, bamboo and carpet, while we were still packing in another state. He and his crew did a splendid job removing old carpet and installing the flooring we chose at his store. He helped me out with a couple of favors having nothing to do with his job and has been very available and easy to work with no matter what the details of the job were. Honest, easy to work with, knowledgeable, and always available. I highly recommend him. Five stars!!!!!

We had John over for an estimate on cork flooring and wool rugs. He really listened to our needs and helped us choose products that were right for us, aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced. We stated we wanted to begin work in a weeks time and his work crew showed up like clockwork. Shawn and Chris Benz did an outstanding job on our rug installation. They were meticulous in making sure the rug looked seamless and that our home was 100% free of debris when they were done. John himself showed up to help install the cork flooring and it was done in one day! I am so happy with how it came out. I would highly recommend Earth First for all your home flooring needs. I can not believe that anyone would rate this company anything less than 5 stars.

John, the owner, did not 1)remove previous flooring, 2) level a 90 year old floor in any way, 3) test ditra heat coil prior to installing, 4) use leveling clips to level new porcelain floor. He did 1) install a porcelain floor that is extremely uneven in many areas, 2) have to regrout since first grout application started cracking within days, 3) not inform me of the amount of dust created by removing grout, 4)do such a poor job of regrouting that the grout is cracking again in more than 25 places, 5) leave excess grout on walls and woodwork. His answers to my questions about these topics were inaccurate. The blue tape shows just some of places where grout is cracking.
