Picked up a clamp which cost around $2. It seems like there is minimum requirement for credit card (makes sense due to high credit card fees). Checked the car, no cash. They allowed me to take it as I needed the clamp. I will drop the cash later today. Nice guys. You wouldn’t get this level of service in big name stores like home depot

This place is very good for paint they have a huge selection. I wouldn't recommend asking on the phone for any kind of hardware or really anything in the store because they don't know what you're talking about. It's a little frustrating the lack of customer service and knowledge.

Not customer friendly! Made a 63 year old woman lift a very heavy item into the car. Refused to help for the first time in 20 years for " liability" said the young, able bodied man who carried it to the car. Had figured my husband would take it out at home. I had already paid and needed it so I risked my back and did it. Beware. Get your propane at Russell's instead.

Moved out of the area so I don’t stop by as much. However after trying to have a key made at two other hardware stores with no avail, I found myself back at Town Line. They were attentive and went above and beyond. The Key they made wound up working better than the original key I gave them. They’ve earned my business and the drive.

They always go above and beyond! So many of our DIY projects would’ve gone horribly wrong without their help. Online videos are great for an overview, but Town Line staff answer questions and get into home-specific help. And they always seem to stock whatever we need. Grateful to have them.

Town Line Hardware is my first stop for home remodeling supplies and paint. Family owned, professional and friendly, they carry a surprisingly large range of products - and the knowledge to back them up. Today, for example, I needed a custom color match for a Celect composite trim color. No problem -- they have a colorimeter scanner and the expertise to tweek the settings for an excellent match.

I used to manage Harney hardware in West Newton Massachusetts, and I have informally been in the building trades (alarms, general home repair, some drywall hanging, etc.) These people know what they are doing, the prices are fair, the stock is a great mix between old fashioned. (like a grinding wheel you can put on the end of a drill for some minor metal removal without spending huge $$$, and the latest. Yes it's hard to work in one of the richest areas in Massachusetts for a wage that even if it was tripled could not buy you and your family a home there, but I give respect treat people like humans and I am always treated well there, though I am not a frequent or big-time customer. BTW if I saw a customer returning customized paint, I would give them very little compensation if any. The review said he took 100% responsibility, I might give hm 5% off of the same size of the same product

Super helpful helpful, great place for paint plus usual hardware items. When we needed to alter the color on a gallon of paint that didn't look quite as we thought it would they customized it perfectly.
