“Love this store! Colleen and Brittany go out of their way to help me every week. I come here to shop on behalf of a food pantry so I buy a large quantity of wet and dry dog and cat food every time I come. They help me get the best deals to make our limited budget stretch far (our clients love the PSP store brand, which is the best pricing!) Colleen helps me fill my cart, Brittany organizes everything for me at the counter and they both help me load my cart back up, and then Colleen always helps fill my car. They always remind me to put in my phone number and earn rewards - and those add up!! The store is always clean and organized and easy to navigate. I always have a great experience shopping here on the weekends, when other stores are usually so busy and the staff can't make time for anyone. Here, you feel like you're the only customer in the store every time you ask for assistance. Colleen and Brittany work so hard to keep this place running well!”
“Friendly staff. Always willing to help with any questions. Decent variety of small animal foods and supplies. I needed young rabbit food for a foster and was happy to find they stocked it. Sometimes toys are in limited supply especially when there is a sale. One of my favorite stores to shop in for small animals.”
“I visited last week when everyone was having internet issues, but the staff who was there that day was super helpful and friendly, chatted with us, and my partner and I had a great time spending $$ on our little pup on a huge assortment of treats. I was really impressed with the selection and WIDE ARRAY of options. The no-hides are awesome, happy to finally have a safe option to give my dog. The merchandising, displays, and colors, etc were all very well done. Great space!! I buy my dog only polkadog treats these days, and was happy the in-person shopping experience was just as fun. Absolutely visit if you can! Great prices too”
“I can not say enough good things about Paws in Play!! I've been taking my pup here for 7 years now and she absolutely loves it. Whether it's for a day of daycare or boarding, I know that she is well taken care of. Jess and Dave do a great job running this place and keeping things safe for all the dogs that walk through their door. They love each dog like they were their own!! The facebook page and snapchat accounts post pictures and videos of all the dogs having a great time whether its inside or out in the yards. I could not ask for a better place or better people to leave my little girl with while i'm at work or away.”

“We brought our new pup Millie into Chickadee Seed and Feed after her vet appointment at Holmes and we met Missy, the owner. Millie had such a great time. She got lots of hugs and kisses and Missy gave her a bully stick (her very first) and she loved it! They are so friendly and welcoming there. They have a table set up with baked goods and apple cider which we took full advantage of. The store is so clean and well organized and Missy was patient and so knowledgeable when asked a ton of questions by us with regards to our new pup. They have a huge selection of everything you would need for your pet. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much Missy!!! Millie is happily eating her bully stick at the moment while we get our things done around the house.”

“This is my go-to pet store and has been for a very long time. When I was a teenager and young adult, this was the best place for reptile care and information; I remember the workers here making me feel at home with all of my animal care questions and concerns. I moved away from home for a few years and have since returned in my early 30's, and I am so happy to report that the same sentiments apply.
I currently have 3 cats, a dog, a goose, several chickens, and some exotics- and although I cannot get my livestock needs met here, this location is phenomenal with my domestic and exotic pet needs. From feeders for my invertebrates to cat litter and dog kibble, this Petco location is an amazing and convenient store location. My only feedback is that I wish that they carried waterfowl and poultry items, as well as having the cricket counter near their aquatics section manned a little more attentively [I always have to find somebody to assist with that; they don't want you self-serving at the cricket counter but then I always end I waiting for a long time before finding an attendant on my own]
This store is always clean and friendly in every way; I am also a trans man and I feel 100% comfortable shopping here in that regard.

“I love the Village groomer. I bring my best friend for nails. They do a wonderful service for nails. They are so nice to humans and their pets. Also the bird feed shop and garden shop has so much to offer and great gift ideas. You won’t be disappointed. A little bit pricier than going to the big box store but well worth it. Service is much better.”

“My Rottweiler has a spinal injury. I can get him into the tub, and they have a ramp if you need it. The equipment is excellent. I wish my hairdryer was as strong! I like that you get a kit with a towel, a rubber curry comb, a metal comb, and a soft brush. The place is clean. The people are super!! It’s a great business!”

“The employees here are so awesome. I do my shopping here, get my dog groomed, and do training with my dog. All the people I encounter that work here are so kind to me and my dog and say hi to her every time we come in :) Ellen has been an awesome trainer. 10/10 staff honestly”

“The Vetco in Quincy Center has been a very pleasant surprise. The online scheduling process is very easy. The reminder texts are well thought out so that most of the administration is completed before you step in the front door. Once you arrive, the staff and vets are organized and make for a very smooth experience. All the prices are listed on the website, the packages make sense and are easy to understand. All the receipts and records are emailed to you a few mins after the appointment.Dealing with the local vets in Dorchester and Southie has been a nightmare. They don't list any prices and the prices vary widely for offices within a half or quarter mile of each other. When they do tell you the price, it feels like negotiating with a car dealership. Some vets try to charge additional exam fees, some just gouge new customers. It was especially weird having to ask one vet for a hard copy of the vaccination records so that I'd have a copy. It's the first thing many doggie daycares and groomers ask for and the vet made it seem like my request was out of the ordinary.Feel free to do your own research, but you'll just learn to appreciate how friendly and transparent this Vetco is. We've been back twice and plan to keep coming back. The prices make sense and the experience is excellent. Getting your pet vaccinated should be an easy, quick and straight forward process like this.”

The veterinarian was very informative about what was she was doing, their vaccinations, overall appearance next appointment scheduling. Informative on how to collect stool samples. What to look for in reactions to shots given. Overall very good experience.”
