My husband came to use my bj’s card like he normally would and when trying to get a coupon book from the front desk, he was told that he could not get one because his name wasn’t on the card. Dina who works at the front desk, proceeded to tell my husband that he could not use the card and she wanted to confiscate the card. He then told her how am I supposed to bring the card back to his wife and she told him that I would need to come in with an ID to prove that the card was mine. When my husband decided to challenge what she said, she threatened that she would suspend my account. I found her to be very unprofessional and condescending. I have now put a complaint to the corporate office about BJ and it’s going to the regional manager for BJ’s Stoughton about their behavior. I went back to BJ’s, to speak to the manager myself, and he tried to lie and said he was there and she never said suspend my account but my husband had me on the phone and I clearly heard her say that. I told him that she didn’t know how to speak to people, and he said that the reason why they confiscate the card is because people can do the nefarious things with the card. The card is a rewards card not a MasterCard so I don’t know how people could do nefarious things with a rewards card when they literally have to pay for stuff. I am very disappointed in their attitude at this establishment.

What is it about this BJ’s location in Stoughton that makes the employees so miserable and unwilling to interact with their customers in a positive manner?
Even the customer service manager doesn’t know customer service.
With that said, there are some really good employees in Stoughton. I think it’s just a Management Team fosters negativity.
GM Studley and Honey are gone, yet the general vibe in the store is still one of unhappiness.
Thank God, they have some good staff that will go out of there way to help you, decent prices, and a good rewards program.

My shopping experience began in the morning when I visited the store with my four children, the youngest being only six years old. The disorganization and unprofessionalism of the store staff were immediately apparent. While we were standing in line to check out, a staff member started yelling that customers with 15 items or fewer should move to another counter. When my husband politely declined and stated his intention to use the self-checkout, the staff member rudely responded, "NO YOU WON'T," and physically blocked us, preventing us from proceeding.
This behavior was not only threatening but also humiliating and retaliatory. The staff member's actions and words were profoundly distressing, especially for my children who witnessed the entire ordeal. Unfortunately, I did not capture the staff member's name due to her vulgar conduct, but I urge BJ's to review the store's security footage from 2 PM to 3 PM on June 22, 2024. The camera footage will clearly show the staff member's aggressive behavior.
During the checkout process, another customer behind us began protesting, stating, "It's not fair for someone who has one item to stand in line." I responded calmly and knowledgeably to her remarks. Despite this, she whispered something to the same staff member who had previously humiliated us. After we completed our checkout and moved just two feet away from the register, the same staff member loudly announced to another customer that the register was closed, further demonstrating her unprofessional conduct.
We encountered another incident on the same day.
Later that evening, I called the store to report this incident and spoke with the closing manager. His response was equally disheartening and unprofessional. When I mentioned that he seemed busy, he brusquely replied, "Yeah, we are very busy, please tell me what you want so I can see what to do." While I understand the pressures of managing a busy store, basic courtesy and empathy towards a polite customer should not be too much to ask.
This incident has profoundly impacted my family, particularly my son, who is now reluctant to enter the store due to the negative experience. This behavior is unacceptable and highlights the need for immediate action.

I am very displeased and disappointed with this BJ's I frequently use this location on a regular basis until my experience I had this past Sunday June 2nd 2024 with someone who called herself Rebecca and states she was the store manager! This person is the most rude, unprofessional, disrespectful Individual I have ever encountered!! I am considering canceling my membership because of her rude behavior. She has 0 customer service skills and should not be manager of any establishment ever!!

They make old people to wait in lines for receipt check even for one who picks up their order online. Asked my mom to go all the way back in line for receipt check. They should understand the meaning of online check in and pickup convenience!! Very good service !?

Came to the optical for emergency repair, the optican that help me, I believe that her name is Dani, did a fantastic job in fixing my glasses. She's very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this optical in Stoughton. I originally went to Costco's Optical, they did a poor job and the service was terrible. I will definitely be coming back here.

Never in a millions years should exiting BJs make me mad. As i was in the longest line to get my receipt checked (even though i'm being trusted to check out my items and not getting paid to do so), a BJs employee was in front of me in the line and a lady tried to cut the whole line by sliding in front of this employee. I thought he was going to notify her that she was in the wrong area but he did not so I kindly said , “Ma’am the line starts back there” and she huffed and puffed then replied, “Oh just go ahead!”. I replied with , “Yeah, I was going to anyways you’re in the wrong place” and the BJs employee then said, “Just go because you think you’re more important than her!” Very rudely and stern. Of course I replied with the same energy stating that I was indeed more important TF! I am a disabled veteran so i can’t be standing long. I shouldn’t have to do every BJs employees job and be spoken to like that in return.

Great staff but some of the worst customers. There is no shortage of parking spaces and people constantly park in the curbside pick up spots despite BJs updating the signage and painting the spots. Customers also leave their carts all over the place in the parking lot. Inconsiderate morons.

They never pick up the phone, and the website/app are horrid. It's supposed to be convenient using the pick up option, tow people who park in pick up but aren't picking up.

Tires - they never answer the phone so you can make an appointment for tire rotation or anything. They should have an option to do it online since the customer service sucks big 0.
