Salem 5 in Stoneham provides not only excellent options for checking and saving, the staff also gives personalized attention. They actually care about their customers financial well-being and specific needs. Recently, I had an issue with an account, and I received a phone call and an email to alert me before there was any problem with outside businesses. I greatly appreciated the commitment. About a year ago I had a very bad experience with an extremely rude customer service representative. I almost changed banks because I was so disgusted. Recently I had a manager (who wasn't there at the time) named Melissa help me correct an unauthorized charge to my account. I use the Redstone branch because it's in close proximity to my home location. I've heard horror stories of it taking months for people to get their money back. Melissa immediately took action by shutting off my debit card and preparing the paper work for me. She filled out everything. All I had to do was sign it. She even offered to bring it to me personally if I didn't think I would be able to make it to the bank that day. I didn't want her to have to do that so I went in on my lunch break and she had me in and out in 2 minutes. Within 7 days, I had my money back and my new debit card. I already had the pin because Melissa gave it to me before I received the card. She also told me I qualified for power checking which allows me to use other ATM machines and be reimbursed by the bank at the end of the month. This was great! Finally, I moved 2 1/2 years ago. Since then, the bank has made it a nightmare changing my address. Every time I would go into the bank the representative would need a manager override because for some reason my address wouldn't change (I'm fairly certain it was a computer glitch.) Since Melissa has started working here I feel like the customer service has done a 180 and I'm glad I stuck with Salem Five. She's an asset to your team and should be commended!
