I had a cat who was a stray. I got him fixed shots etc. He became very attached to me as I was to him. He became I'll and he went died in my arms. I had called this place 2 weeks prior to see about an appt. The brunhilda on the phone said they didn't take Emergency patients. I asked about an appt asap then. She then said they were taking new patients. So after a few words exchanged I hung up. After he died my mom and I decided to get him cremated. I called them to see if they did this. Yes they said ( this time , a nice professional girl I talked with. She said they send the body to a service that they don't actually do it there. Someone comes a picks up the animal. We could pick his little casket thing So, we went and this woman who could have been a prison guard was so nasty. She looked us up and said we had never been there. I said yeas it was a while ago. Bhutto we did visit there. She was very insulting as my mom was relaying some of my boys personality traits that we loved. It was clear she couldn't give this older lady the courtesy to even acknowledge her. So she said since he wasn't a patient there she wouldn't process our request. She ssid , smugly I'll ask the vet. She was obviously confident That he would castigate us too, instead this nice compassionate man said "Of Coup. rse. Boy was she pissed. It me ME who packed the box. I signed the form. I told her yeah I can see how labor intensive this 10 minute process was. I said loudly to my mom " I'm glad they send the animals away because I wouldn't want him there with such a horrible person . Picking him up was a different experience A young girl greeted me I told her I was there to pick up my cats ashes. She was very compassionate I think that Brunhilda should go find a nice prison to work i

My cat recently passed away and I cannot thank the staff enough. Everyone there was so compassionate and understanding. They even sent me a condolence card and was very personalized. That meant so much to me. It just shows how much they care about their clientele.

We love Dr. Anderson. He’s good to our kitties and to us, explains issues well, and genuinely cares. Also, I don’t feel like we are charged unfairly for service; the price is reasonable.

We have entrusted the East Springfield Veterinary Hospital with our dogs' care for years. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and completely professional. They are a little pricier than other places, but I do not have a problem with it, as long as my pet-children are receiving the quality care they need.

Boy, I was just quoted a price that went up to $540 to neuter my male puppy. They insist on pre-lab bloodwork which DR GOOGLE says should only be needed on a dog over 8 years old unless there have been signs of health problems ( He is a pt. there in good health/ under 1 yr) Then they test HW AND Lyme at the same time because they can charge more $$$$$ and then another 370 for the neuter- add it all up and ZING = $540.00 to neuter a healthy dog under a year old. ROBBERS !

East Springfield Veterinary Hospital is wonderful. The staff (vets, techs, and front desk) are all wonderful and kind and helpful and thoughtful. They strike a good balance between being price conscious and up front about costs, and pursuing useful tests and referrals. They saw us when we were in the area for an extended visit and one dog started vomiting daily; other area vets wouldn't take a patient for the six months we were here. East Springfield Veterinary Hospital and its employees are really amazing!

I have nothing but good things to say about ESVH. The vet techs are extremely patient, friendly, and helpful. When I got my first dog I was nervous and probably overreacted to a lot of situations but the staff at ESVH was always there to calm me down and put my mind at ease. My dogs love doing there because they get to see all of their vet tech "friends" who are always ready to come greet them and give them the attention that they love. Dr. Hersman is the best! Very knowledgeable and also extremely sympathetic to your pets' needs. He's personally followed up with a phone call after many appointments to check in on my dogs. I would recommend them to anyone I know with pets.
