I like the gym. But then they started overcharging me. It took me a while to catch because I've got some tough times. When I found it, they refused to refund my $$ but said they would apply to my membership. When I cancelled the membership, they still owed me $470. I have been trying for six months to get this money. They keep promising they're sending it but they never do. I have 21 emails dating back six months. At this point, I have to take them to small claims court, which is one more thing I don't need. But they clearly intend to steal my money if I don't get the courts involved. It does not take six months to process a refund. So, buyer beware. This is, sadly, a dishonest organization, which does not represent the larger JVC. They are clearly ok making everyone look bad.

My son attended a few specialty camps during the summer of '21 & '22. They are not cheap, but my son is worth it. Unfortunately, he became ill and was unable to attend camp. We notified the staff via phone and email that our son could not attend due to illness. They refused to give us credit or our money back. I can't believe they would choose to lose me as a loyal customer due to greed. It does not make much business sense, but I guess raking up the price each year makes up for d*** decisions. Plus, how callous? They care nothing about our child being sick- Money hungry.

So I like to take a lot of walks around town and when I do I pick up a lot of bottles and cans to help the community out. So I went over here today to look for some around the ball fields because I found a lot of those before over there. I went for 5 minutes and didn’t find all but one so I proceeded to my car to leave. This stooge security guard was staring right at me and I was just shocked and reacted and looked back. I see people all the time walking during the day driving by on these fields and couldn’t believe how disrespected I was for just walking. What a tough guy, needless to say I will not be walking there anytime soon and WILL NOT recommend the jcc to anyone because of this tough guy

Do not sign your children up for their summer camp. I enrolled my son in the JCC specialty summer camp program which is roughly $500/week. He attended the first week of camp, and on Friday presented as ill and had to leave camp early. We covid tested him and he was positive on Saturday. My son contracted covid-19 from the camp as no one within our immediate family had become positive with covid. We informed the camp coordinator Sam Stone immediately after becoming aware and received a doctors note stating he would be unable to attend the following week of camp as he would have to quarantine. We spoke with the camp coordinator and provided him with all documentation needed to align with their refund policy. Based on their policy, we should've been issued a refund as my child did not attend camp for 5 consecutive days and had a doctors note stating he could not attend. Let's not forget the CDC guidelines at that time. The coordinator gave me the run around, failed to respond to emails or phone calls and when he would respond, he would provide short responses with no resolution. After weeks of being blown off, I emailed both the director Amy and camp coordinator Sam. Director, Amy never responded. Camp coordinator Sam eventually responded stating per their policy, I could not be refunded as they don't issue refunds for specialty camps. This was extremely misleading, especially when their policy stated a refund could be issued if a child did not attend camp for 5 consecutive days and had a doctors note in which my child did. I asked if they could reallocate the monies to another program but received no response. After multiple calls and emails, I scheduled an in person meeting with Sam, again requesting that if they are refusing to refund me over my child being unable to attend due to Covid-19, then we would be open to using the money toward next year's camp season or any other programs in order to keep the money within their agency and maintain a positive relationship with the JCC. During a conversation with Sam, he acknowledged that the camp had a covid-19 outbreak, stating over 25 children were positive. I’d like to make mention us parents were never notified of a covid-19 outbreak via email or phone call. Sam was certain a resolution could be made and even gave us a tour of the facility. Weeks had gone by and I hadn't heard from him. I reached out via email and he failed to respond. Typical. At this point, I'm done trying to resolve this. I would strongly discourage any parent from using this camp. JCC is very unprofessional, communication is extremely poor and they will find a way to keep your money regardless of their policy. As a hard working parent, $500 a week is not cheap. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

My son Jordan (3 1/2 years at the time) was enrolled in this community, we had moved to the area and this seemed to be a good fit. Jordan would start at 7-8am in the morning and be picked up at 4-5p ish. At this time he had to be enrolled about one to two months. Jordan life was home to school and i believed this was a safe and healthy environment, for my child and boy was I wrong. One day he came home reffering to his brother as N****** and this is how he would used this word (be quiet N and pick that toy up N) and please understand as a family we DO NOT use this word. The next morning i brought Jordan to school and met with the teacher regarding the aforemention N word used on my child. The teacher said (on life) that Jordan was a fast runner and they were calling him NINJA- #1 a Ninja does not run fast and why are you calling my child anything outside his name? The head of the department was contacted and informed and she sided with her teachers. I would advised the black families to find somewhere else because this was our experience and this experence left us traumatised. My son was removed and would NEVER attend another JEWISH place EVER! I would never give u a star if i had it my way!!!!

Been a member for over 35 years. In the last few years all the good the place had is being wiped out. The place seems like it is falling apart. I know I and 2 other people have contacted the CEO and have gotten ZERO response and if this is read by them there will be a reactionary comment stated " we never got a message..." The staff is nice and very pleasant when you are greeted. Women's locker room falling apart. One blow dryer only. The others don't work. A blow dryer cost 25$ for all the money being brought in they could easily replace them. I know COVID changed things and put burdens on them but it's not the entire story. I've seen and heard rude comments and behavior from some of the pool staff to members. I really hope this place doesn't become a second rate adjunct fitness center to what will be a children's day camp. I feel sorry for everyone involved.

JCC provides a home away from home where the physical, gym and pool, give a friendly and professional milieu; while the campus and activities provide an inclusive intellectual and community presence which allows for new friendships and understandings of life and values.

I love the JCC. My child attends the Early Learning Center. The teachers and other staff are amazing and show such compassion for the children. I am also a member and enjoy the gym and the group exercise classes! Great place.

Gym closes way too early on weekends. Weight room is very limited (only one bench and one rack). Youth programs take over the basketball court during the busiest hours. Not only is it hard to get your money's worth but some of the older staff are rude too.

Great gym and community center with a gym, basketball court, several racket ball courts, Olympic size pool, day programs for kids and many group classes. Bit expensive but very clean and sauna/steam rooms are great.
