I was absolutely amazed with the care & detail this family put into the care of our families! ❤️ Through it all this funeral home made our situation bearable. We couldn't have gotten through this without them! They were clear about cost- what we did n didn't need for pricing. It just wasn't about business, they made it aboutm the best way for us to say our good byes

They were amazing! I am handicapped and it’s difficult getting out. So they brought my uncle’s remains to me. Everyone was so nice. I wish more businesses were so accommodating. Thank you so much.

My bereaved mother and I had a terrible experience with these people (mainly DARLENE WILLEY SLIWA, funeral "Director") who we were unfortunately referred to by my dad's hospice providers upon his death. Darlene was inauthentic and "salesy" right from the start. She was condescending to my mother and ignored me entirely besides greeting me with a huge, beaming smile which was totally insensitive under the circumstances after telling me to move my car. (Oh and the door was locked; I had to call to get her to let us in even though we had an appointment.) She was quick to carry on about all the services and benefits they provide even though we were clear we wanted only direct cremation, no services, etc. because my mom is on a fixed income. I was shocked when she handed us an estimate with charges upwards of $5500 - when I questioned some of the ludicrous charges, she tried her best to justify them. Examples - a body cleaning fee of $200 (his body was cleaned by hospice before he was transported and he's being cremated after all!), an extra personnel fee for the supposed "second person" transporting my father - there was no second person! A fee for refrigeration - apparently he had not been refrigerated in the 30 hours he'd been in "their care" - but suddenly they were happy to refrigerate him now, with the "bargain" price of $200! There was also an extra $400 charge for cremation beyond the $2995 fee for the "cremation package." When I asked why there was a second fee for cremation, she said it was for the crematorium they send him to for cremation. What, pray tell, are we paying for if the actual charge for cremation isn't even part of "the package." When she showed me the list of cremation "services," I saw a cheaper version than the one she was charging us. It was for $1995. When I asked why we weren't being charged this as we wanted nothing more than direct cremation, she said that was for completing the request online. I said well we will complete the paperwork online then - it will save my mother $1000. To which she replied she would be charging us $400 for the appointment we were having! When I asked her what justified such an unreasonable fee, she told me it was for "the papers" she had completed - i.e., the completely outrageous bill of goods she was trying to sell us! She then went on to say if we do the online version, it was "at their discretion" as to when they would decide to cremate my father! So she was threatening me that they would delay cremation if we went with the more economical option. Outrageous! We left immediately and contacted another cremation company - Casper Funeral and Cremation Services out of Boston - we had Casper's pick up my father the very next day. Darlen charged us $400 to release him - all for driving to get him three miles away and store him in an unrefrigerated "unknown space" for 30 hours. Beware of this place - they do not care about you; she was a phony through and through, and as if the upcharges weren't bad enough, she also was condescending to my mother stating that "you are confused" with a look of utter pity when she asked one clarifying question. I shudder to think of unsuspecting, grief-stricken people who might not have the bandwidth to question these unethical practices. Stay away and warn your friends and neighbors!!!! I would have put zero stars if I could.

** Go anywhere but here if you're looking to save money!! ** These people will rack you over the coils at the worst time in your life. They advertise a simple cremation at $2995 on their website, they do note there could be additional charges on top of that, but not almost $2k of extra charges. Do not expect anywhere close to that price on their website. There will be almost $1,800 extra charges in there, if not more. They actually tried to charge over $6k because they threw in unwanted extras that we previously declined, you can see they modified it down to $4,775 on the invoice. I've provied a invoice for anyone to take a look at. My father was laid to rest at a Veterans cemetery, so the only real expense here was the cremation. He also didn't get a obituary, or an urn for an almost $5k. They don't offer "simple cremations" This place is a scam, they only care about how big your wallet is. I've called other funeral homes in the area as well, and they all had much much lower prices for a simple cremation.

I can not say enough great things about New England Funeral & Cremation Center. Darlene and her team made an incredibly difficult time a beautiful process and honored my fathers last wishes. Everything from the moment of prearrangement to the service went exactly as planned. My family is in Ethiopia and the services was live-streamed for them all to see which was great as they could not attend. Thank you again for everything you did for me and my family. I truly appreciate you all!

They did such a lovely job. We asked to play Elvis at our great aunt's funeral. They didn't have a record but improvised with a Bluetooth all charged up! Such a sweet group.

Filled out the online form online. No response. Filled out a second online form. No response. Called and left information twice. No response. They seem to be some either out of state company or certainly out of the area with no local service centers.
