Gonna have to edit my review here.A couple months ago I gladly paid $200 diagnostic proactively for a check engine light that I was concerned with fail my inspection. I was given a whole list of things that should be fixed but told that none of them would be a problem for my inspection. I requested that none of the work be done at the moment and I would be back after getting a good inspection sticker.Today I went for my inspection and failed for exactly what I took my car in for. (My not surprise face).I came back and spoke to Angela who informed me that I would have to do the same diagnostic all over again since it could be a different issue (same exact codes two months later). When I said I wasn't paying for a diagnostic for the same exact issue that wasn't fixed last time and probably wouldn't be fixed this time she tacked on to the conversation that I had previously declined replacing a dust cover wish had gone missing after some work they had done on my turbo.According to her, this dust cover could also trigger these codes related to DPF (mechanic had stated otherwise) and since I declined said work they would not waive the diagnostic. I reminded her that the mechanic had previously said why this cover should be replaced and that it was not related to these codes - personally, I think they should replace the cover since it went missing while the car was in their possession, but I have never pressed this issue. At this point she changed her tone and put a lot of emphasis on that. They would absorb the diagnostic fee into any repairs tho they still would not wave the diagnostic fee. I asked if they would also be willing to absorb the last diagnostic fee as well and was told that it was for an unrelated issue so no they could not.End of the day, the first time I am the one that had to tell them that this could be a difficult issue to diagnose while they explained that it would not be an issue - totally false! They could have had a decent job out of this one. Oh well, they said if it was a problem I should just bring it back and they would get to the bottom of it.So that's what I did once I had proof that it was a problem and suddenly apparently we have a whole new story.Original review:These guys have always done me great! They acknowledge my understanding of cars and are willing to communicate on that level. They recognize when I say yes and when I say no. This company understands what it means to work for your customer and while I do most of my own work on my cars I am always happy every time that I do decide to bring my Audi here.Of course prices aren't cheap, I understand I bought an Audi. You get what you pay for. I would honestly say that they are entirely reasonable for a dealership and I will always come back.

Do not take your vehicle to get service at this location! My son, a young man attending college in the area and just trying to make in life took our 2019 VW to get his brakes checked. He was told they will only look at the brakes for a non-refundable inspection fee of $189.00. The service center took advantage of this young man. I called a near by competitor (Lia VW) and they only charge $75.00, I understand a business must make money but Fathers and Sons Volkswagen took advantage of our son. As a currently serving Army officer, I know how important it is to take care of people BUT Fathers and Sons VW did not take care of their customers and took advantage of my son. If they did it to me, they will do it to you. DO NOT GO TO Fathers and Sons VW.

I bought my 2022 gti here about a month ago. I put a $500 deposit on the car which i told was gonna be used for my downpayment, but they didnt add it to the down payment. So i asked for the money back and they never gave it back to me so i had to dispute it with my credit card company instead. Besides this, I worked with Dave who was friendly and did a great job and made it easy to buy a car.

Just bought a new Atlas. Seamless transaction. Not pushy. No sales games. Our salesman, Devonte, was knowledgeable, responsive and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better car buying experience!

Went there to buy a used car. I looked it over and test drove it. When I decided to move forward with the process my salesman checked with his sales manager to see if we could come to a deal. The sales manager refused to offer less than the listed price. I took this as an insult since I was really trying to out a lot of money down to come to a deal.

I purchased a 2021 Jetta for my daughters first car and on the test drive the tire indicator came on, I did not think nothing of it. On 03/31/2022 I purchased the car and drove it home and the low tire light came on again. On Friday 04/02/22 I went to Fathers and Sons of west SPFLD and told the salesman that the indicator is still on and he advised me to bring the car in on Monday and they will take care of it. When I brought the car in on Monday the tire was completely flat and damaged to ware I had to put on the spare. The service advisor told me that I would have to buy a new one even though I had voiced my concerns about it before I took delivery! I will never buy a car from Fathers and Sons again. The service advisor had an attitude because I did not buy the warranty that was offered with the lease, as if it was my fault. I tried to speak to several managers in Volkswagen even went down to Volvo but all of the management was not around to listen to my concerns.

We bought our 2019 VW Tiguan from Fathers & Sons. Had no problem, salesperson was great. The car has been jinxed since! It has been in the Service shop more times in 2 years than my other 2 cars combined ( not VW)! More recently, we had work done, and found the service dept worse than they ever have been. Not only are they expensive, they dont call you to tell you whats going on! My car was sitting there for 2 days. The 2nd day when i didnt hear, i called them. Got no answere, left message, never called me back. Finally I called AGAIN & they told me I could come get the car because its driveable but they have to order parts. When i asked if they replaced both wipers, I was told they only replaced the front. i told them i wanted both done( since they were the ones that just recommended it back in December when i had an oil change) She said they didnt have the part! wait, what? other service dept would have called us! So 2 weeks go by to give them time enough to order parts, so i call to make appt to bring it back in, they tell me there is no order for parts on my car. Wait, what? Now its really getting ridiculous. The guy tells me I should talk to someone in Service Dept. He transfers me, no one answers, so I leave a message. I still dont hear back. I call them again, oh yah, your parts are in. So i make the appointment. i am so looking forward to having my car done with them by now. I once again didnt get any ohone call about how my car is doing or if its ready, so I called them AGAIN, oh, your car is all set. wait, what? no phone call? they asked me 3 times for my phone number! i made sure they had it correctly. I couldnt wait to get the car by now. I think we are done spending $$ @ Fathers & Sons. Worse service customer relations I have ever experienced.

I live in NY, my daughter is a VW lover and owns a Jetta SEL I just purchased a GLI Autobahn and ALL our business will be done with this company. NY dealers should take a few lessons on customer service from this company. I highly recommend doing business with them, the drive from NY is worth it.

I bought my VW Jetta SEL Premium in June of this year from Father and Sons VW in West Springfield and it was by far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. They really stepped up to the plate finding me the perfect car even if it meant a factory order and not a car sale for a few weeks until it arrived. As a consumer I have almost unrealistic expectations about any buying experience and without a doubt they hit the mark. I’m so in love with this car.

We shopped for a used TDI Passat. Nick patiently allowed us to test 4 vehicles multiple times, handled questions, negotiated fairly and we ended up with a beautiful car that came with multiple warranty coverage (including 10 years/120K because of the emissions settlement). We're writing because of the aftercare: as agreed during the sale, a missing button on the radio and a few very minor scratches and dings would be fixed. What we got was a detail expert and a brand new entertainment console, a 2019 loaner, and even gave us a future full service oil change because of the delay in completing the repairs (waiting for a new part). We're impressed with the service, the sale, and a gorgeous like-new 2013 car that has layers of warranty coverage.

Just an Add-On to my previous review ( 5 Hour Oil Change.). I just checked the little sticker on the top left of the windshield to see when I would be ready for another Oil Change and I see that my OLD STICKER was still on it. FATHERS and SONS didn't even put on an updated one. Amazing they got 2-1/2 stars, they should have Minus numbers for Father And Sons.

I bought a used Jetta TDI that was "fixed" after the scandal. Three months later it's leaking antifreeze from a well known factory flaw whereby a metal clip on the fan housing wears through the radiator. After all their talk of warranties on these vehicles they pretty much told me to fix it myself. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever seen. I'll never spend another dollar there. Boycott for life
