I was looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and I went to 5 different jewelry stores. I was referred to Alexanders from a friend and met Gene at his shop. After describing what I was looking for he was able to show me some diamonds which he thought would meet my expectations. After describing the stones which he showed me I was stunned that based upon my discussions with the other jewelry stores what he was offering me was almost twice the size with same cut and clarity for about three quarters the price. He explained that since he kept his costs to a minimum and he bought his diamonds direct from diamond cutters he made a reasonable profit but did not mark them up 500% like the larger jewelers. I bought the ring complete for $4200 and took it for an insurance appraisal and it came out at $13,800. Gene made a nice setting which my girlfriend loved. Amazing I will only buy my jewelry from Gene in the future.

Gene is by far the best, always willing to go the extra mile. He even went out of his way to repair and resize my elderly mother's rings. I've counted on him for years, for both repairs and purchases. His honesty and the quality of his work and service are unsurpassed. Love, love Alexander's Jewelers. Definitely the all around best.

I have been doing business with Gene at Alexander Jewelers for more years than I care to admit, as it would reveal my age; but I would never do business with any other jeweler. I don't even live in Massachusetts anymore, but still send Gene my repairs and buy any and all jewelry from him. Just today, I called him and referred a good friend to him to buy an engagement ring, that is what made me look him up on the internet and write this review. He is the best jeweler I have ever used; thirty years ago he made me an engagement ring that is my favorite ring to this day! You can't go wrong with Alexander Jewelers!
