“I would rate this store as a 4 because staff have been helpful, and I have found some things there that I don't find at other stores or that are often out of stock at other stores. Their prices are a bit steep. Ironically, I hear that many customers that shop here manage to have many accidents in this parking lot... to the point that one customer died as a result of their injuries. For this reason, I would recommend that the store install speed bumps to prevent more accidents in the future. If they do not, I would suggest being on alert at all times in the parking lot.”

“I’ve always been happy with my trips to Pajer’s Superette. I bought a 8” cold cut grinder there a couple of weeks ago and I didn’t think that I would be able to finish it……but I did.?”

“"I love ya baby but all I can think about isKielbasa sausage"(Tenacious D)Ethnic delis and grocery stores are a blast to visit. The foods look great and I enjoy looking at the foreign label cans and bottles to try and guess what's hiding inside. The goods sold at Agawam's Kielbasa and Dairy were particularly difficult for me to identify. Because I can't read Polish, and in fact some of the letters in the Polish alphabet have no resemblance to the English alphabet. But that doesn't mean we had a great visit wandering the aisles and checking out the produce, deli, prepared foods, meats and fish, and baked goods everywhere. The thing that struck us both was how incredibly neat the store was. The shelves were neat and tidy, perfectly organized, and fully stocked. Some of the cool things I saw were a big freezer full of self service dumplings -just scoop out how much you wanted, big boxes of self service rugelach and cookies, more dried fish than I've ever seen, rock bottom prices on frozen shrimp (but we'll have to pop off the heads with their beady little eyes), a big meat and seafood counter, and a gigantic aisle of individually wrapped Polish candies. We picked up 5 things for under $18 - a container of spicy tomato soup ($1.69), 1/3 LB of assorted rugelach ($3.40), a huge cinnamon bun ($1.99). 0.8 pounds of the shrimp ($4.79), and a combo sandwich ($5.99).The sandwich was supposed to be ham, turkey and salami with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions and pickle on rye. Well, they were out of turkey and lettuce yesterday, but the sandwich that remained was fantastic. The best part of it was the rye bread! OMG it was so thick and fresh and flavorful -just wonderful. Our server wasn't super welcoming, but I'd chalk that up to a language barrier.Anyway, we sure had a blast at Kielbasa and Dairy.”

“If you are looking for glitz or glamor, this is not the place. you need to look over products closely. With that said, the quality of the items was very good, I was surprised the beef was good, fresh and yummy, and the produce fresh, doesn't have all my needs, but worth a trip”

“The store is a nice hole in the wall. It is small, but packed with all the essentials! The owners are helpful and kind. I will definitely be frequently stopping by to stock up.”

“The story of the country store dates back from the mid-1800s. It primarily revolves around the cheese and how the recipe hasn't changed for over 150 years. I can tell you one thing for certain, that's some of the best cheese I've ever had. Definitely recommend putting it on a grinder and getting a toasted cold cut combo with the cheddar. It has to be the best grinder I have ever experienced. Easy 5 stars for this gem.”

“Love Big Y. All groceries and food costs of all kinds have greatly increased since covid/Ukraine but my family has used this as an opportunity to buy less food, but higher quality and Big Y is great for this endeavor. They source a lot of their great products locally, have great meat, seafood, and deli depts and their produce section is always immaculate. Buy fresh, local, quality products at Big Y! If even trashy junk food is prohibitively expensive, you might as well get the good stuff!”

“4 stars for convenience of having something nearby at the minimum as a quick stop. Not a lot of variety. Avid cooks like me still have to make their trips to Boston or Manchester, CT.”

“I've personally have had nothing but great expirences here! I've been coming probably once a day Mon-Fri for 2 years or so cuz I work really close by. The owner and his son have never been anything but polite, nice, helpful, and respectful to me. They know what I like too and try to accommodate me whenever possible. Ive only gotten a grinder once and it was good but nothing to write home about. Although I personally know several dozen people who swear it's the BEST deli in town and I wouldnt doubt it. One day I had forgotten my wallet, and I didnt even notice until I had about 20$ or more in merchandise, I was embarrassed to say the least, and was about to return everything to the shelves when the owner said "dont worry about it, you're a good customer. I'll put it on a tab for you and you can pay me next time!! I am a good customer but still that's way above and beyond what you'd get for treatment anywhere else. I highly recommend this family owned local MOM and POP for all deli, alcohol, lottery, or convience needs!!”

“A little out of the way, couple places closer to me, but worth it. They don’t have every brand like a stop and shop with half an aisle dedicated to tomato sauce and potato chips, they just have the limited/most popular, generally in bulk all less expensive. I was surprised at the quality of the produce here, really good. Much of it actually higher quality than chain/larger stores right around it. The real bonus here: EVERYTHING is less. Like considerably less, all the time. Feels like a well kept secret. I try to make this a regular stop for fruits/veg/bulk rice pasta, etc. I mean the bananas are better and half cost, haha. It’s like that. Stop and shop bananas were small and dry, odd, threw them out. You do need your own bags. Extra bonus of this it’s right near two other grocery stores one huge, one boutique. So one trip, here for bulk, others for a few “specialty” foods, will keep me stocked for weeks without paying a mint. Just 1/4 mint. Groceries are too expensive now!! This place is a little oasis of 10 years ago prices.”

“I remember when double bagging was a perk . Now you pay for bags that are so cheap if you make it to the car it's a plus. Not just here but the shopping experience has changed so much .cheap bags only having a couple registers open. Isn't it enough with the cost of food now they want to make you check out yourself”

“Walmart often has the best price on items I'm bargain hunting. If you can stand it, this isn't a bad place to shop and beat inflation.

Typically I'm here for outdoors stuff, but that doesn't mean there's not other stuff.

Plan for long lines, crowds, and questionable parking.”

“Seven years I have been going here - great place when the big stores are too far away - great smiles, people always friendly and fair prices. This is a great little market they are always willing to help you and make sure they have the frresh est supplies they even take care of the wild life around the building feeding the birds. If you need something quick Hav more is your market. Yogi is the best. - just right around the corner - quick, easy to get to and most convenient.”
