I have tried this tailor three times.
First, to hem a pair of pants — perfect!
Second, to have a silk dress brought in. She didn't have me try it on, and it wasn't until I was home that I saw the dress was misfitted. Fine, I should have asked to try it on when I picked up.
Third and the reason I won't return. I asked for inside pockets (like we put our hands inside our pants, not a pocket like on a sports jacket) and one of her workers sewed the pocket inside the shirt in a way that you have to flip the shirt inside out to access. And from my photo you can see there's a hole in one. The seamstress also made a mistake a began the pocket process on the back of one shirt (that shirt now has an extra). I have never in my life seen inside pockets open this way, but ill take 50% blame and say maybe there was miscommunication. Never the less, the owner wouldn't even acknowledge that the work was done wrong and with error and wouldn't even offer a small discount nor would she call her other seamstress to inquire the cost of repair when I asked. Do not go to this location for anything beyond a simple hem and clean.

The woman who works here is a miracle worker! She altered a bridesmaid's dress for me, made it fit perfectly, and didn't even blink when I said I needed it done in less than two weeks. I delivered a wrinkled ill-fitting sack and she gave me back a sleek, pressed, fitted gown. I would trust her with any garment--she is very skilled!

I came in with a last minute quick turnaround tailoring job: fixing a very poor job done by a different tailor and adding a pocket to a beloved jean jacket. Not only did they do an excellent job in <24 hours, the woman at the desk came in a little early the next morning because I told her I was going to be running for a train after pickup and she wanted to make sure she was there to receive me. Incredible service really going the extra mile for a brand new customer - I wish I lived nearby as I’d bring everything here!

Somerville Cleaners & Tailor saved my wedding dress! After I had a bad experience at a different wedding dress tailor, I took my dress to Thuvan hoping for a miracle. She was so kind, took the time to understand what I wanted fixed, and even stayed after hours to turn it around the same day so I wasn’t stressed. And she charged me a fraction of the price of what the other wedding dress tailor charged me. I can’t recommend them enough for all your tailoring needs!

Would recommend, the person who helped me was very friendly. (I think her name was Van.) Dry cleaning was done fast and they got a huge stain out of my wife's top/blouse. Reasonably priced.

I use Somerville Dry Cleaners & Tailor for laundry (mostly shirts) and occasionally for dry cleaning. They do good work and the staff is always super friendly.

5 stars for their tailoring! 2.5 stars for drycleaning. The tailoring is great. I get all my jeans and fancy dresses done here; they nail it every time. Drycleaning: I have brought things here to be drycleaned and when I get them back it seems as if they've only been pressed, not cleaned. Not every time, but enough times that I don't bother anymore, and just bring my stuff to Skyline now. I'm rounding up my average because of the very nice woman who works the counter. Always nice to see her. And she loves dogs :)

Average, maybe a tad disappointing. I meant to go to Skyline Dry Cleaners which is down the street and has consistent 5-star reviews but ended up here accidentally. I took my favorite, light-colored silk skirt here for a cleaning; there were about 5 stains on it. I pointed them out to the guy who marked them in bright red tape. He said he'd fix them and I could get the skirt 5 days later... kind of a long wait, but fine. Then when I pick it up, the stains are still there, every single one of them! I point them out to the guy and he says he'll re-do it, and I can get the skirt 5 days later. A- for re-do but ugh for not doing it right the 1st time. Yesterday I picked up the skirt and the woman working there pointed out that 3 of the stains were removed but two were too tough and she was concerned about ruining the silk for the sake of getting them out. Ok that's fine too, I'd rather have very faint stains than holes in my skirt. But the issue is that the skirt is not pressed well! There are all these little wrinkles down at the hem... seriously? If i wanted a wrinkled skirt I would iron the thing myself. Not wanting to wait another 5 days for it, I paid my $6 and got out of there. Next time I'll make sure to actually end up at Skyline...
