“I love this grocery store so much. In a fairly small square footage, they have such amazing variety of fresh produce (including shiso leaves, which are so hard to find!!), frozen foods, sushi grade fish, kitchenware, freshly prepared foods, and a truly unbeatable sake selection. (The only area they lack in is soy milk; I really wish they carried some imported Japanese brands, as American soy milk is so bad and has so many fillers in it. But for a grocery store to not carry just one thing I’m looking for is a really good track record!) It’s mostly Korean and Japanese groceries, but some offerings branch out into Thai, Chinese, and even Indian ingredients. To boot, Paul is truly the kindest proprietor and also really knowledgeable about the products he sells if you have questions. I was once debating between two types of matcha powder and couldn’t quite tell the difference from the Japanese label, so he pointed me in the right direction.I’ve now been coming here for a few years, but during I think my third or fourth visit I told Paul this was my favorite grocery store and he ran into the produce section and grabbed a HUGE Asian pear to give me as a gift in gratitude. It was so unexpected and so meaningful to have that kind of personal interaction in an increasingly isolated world.I love shopping at this local business over H Mart, and I really hope they are in Union Square for decades and decades to come. With the neighborhood changing so rapidly right now, I do worry about this little spot. Support it if you live in the area!”

10 Main St, Somerville“Our local store to Winter Hill. Love this place, the people, and the selection. They truly have everything. My only recommendations would be more Amber Ale’s but that’s just me.”
“Been coming to this store for 17 years since I moved to the neighborhood. Always reliably quality selection and knowledgeable staff. Recently I was headed out of town and stopped for a four pack and snacks to. Take with. Two sales associates were incredibly generous in with their time in helping me both make my selection and making sure I had everything I needed for my trip!”
“I come to this Liquor Junction once or twice a year. The store claims to have 2,500 beers and 3,000 wines, which is probably true. In my experience it has easily the largest collection of craft beers in Cambridge. Unfortunately the place does not allow breaking up of 4 packs or 6 packs. Also while I am more ignorant of wines, I can usually find a couple of deals every time I visit.”
“Reasonably priced with very kind and helpful staff with all the usual liquors, a few fun gems and a wide array of wine for any pallet or budget. The owners have an enviable amount of wine knowledge and are always more than happy to help apply it to find something that fits the occasion. From finding something easy on the wallet for a mulled wine experiment to something for a proper housewarming dinner gift, they have helped me with the same enthusiasm every time.”

1119 Broadway, Somerville“I stopped by Teele Square Liquors on my way to a house party in the area. The liquor store was very conveniently located, right near a bunch of restaurants and other shops. From the outside, it looked a bit dingy, but the inside was clean. For a local shop, they had a pretty decent selection of beers, wines, and liquors. Don't expect this to be a huge store like a Total Wine, but it gets the job done. The prices seemed a bit expensive, but not outrageously so.The customer service here was pretty good, but there weren't really extra employees around to ask any questions to. When I went to pay, the employee requested to see my ID, which I actually really appreciated, given some other stores don't bother. Come on by if you're looking to pick up some basics!”
“Best selection of craft beer around. Nice and super knowledgeable staff. The cashier has dog biscuits behind the counter and every dog goes right to the counter for their treats. Great neighborhood business to shop at. Def my go to liquor store.”
“$11 Sandwiches?!?!? For truly the best sandwiches in town?!?!? I’ll never get over it. Do not forget the sandwiches!! They are often overlooked. I find out all the time that people “didn’t even know they sell sandwiches” but that they shop there for cheese, specialty foods, and alch??? How could you miss the most important part!!! ? March up to that deli counter and order the best sandwich by far you will eat in this area.
Anyways, I’ve been coming here since childhood with my parents and to me it’s the perfect place.
PS: thanks for selling the big bags of Torres truffle potato chips. The little bags just aren’t enough for me hahaha”
“Great selection of craft beer and from the looks of it import. Friendly staff that knows what your looking for. I’d travel out of the way to buy here because of the selection and customer service.”

78 Broadway, Somerville“A little over prices and the place could use a little clean up and air freshener. But they had a why variety of wine, liquor, and beer, and its at a great location in Summerville. Owen is also cool and welcoming. I would have given ya 5 stars, but ya can light up some incents lol.”

225 Elm St, Somerville“Huge selection of spirits, liquors and wines, but honestly the beer aisle is just amazing. So many local and imported options! You can probably get a different beer every day for a year and you will still not have tried everything they have to offer.”
“Well i live close by i think it is a good liquor store btw alot of the comments from 4-5-10 yrs ago are the old owners so I noticed the rates are similar to most other liquor stores in area it is small so they might not have... But I walk and I think it is a decent option especially during the week when they stay open till 10 and alot of other close at 9 so for its size and walk ability and bus and train routes I give it 5”

163 Washington St, Somerville“I've been going to this liquor store for so long. Like 6 years. They are always so nice, the store is always stocked and neat. However this week going there I noticed something crazy about here. I usually just go grab my wine and leave. But that's cause I never thought this small liquor store carried so many things. They had boom sauce, if you know you know. Lord Hobo is a local beer but not just some local beer some omg so good local beer. But not just that they sell old man frontos. No where in somerville does. I can't believe I slept on this place so many years. It's 10 feet from my sisters house. Jay is so hip and helpful, their dad Singh is of his generation but so thoughtful and so kind. Sometime I go out my way to go there cause their prices are unmatched. Only way to know for sure is to go see for yourself. Little place that packs a big punch”
“Pretty good amount of Variety, if all liquor stores don't have what you need... this place will have it hands down. Might as well make this your first stop.”
“What I love MOST about this place is the staff, they are all so kind and so nice. They are very patient and helpful, even if you don't know what you want. Thanks guys I appreciate you! ❤️”
“Great, friendly, clean, and small retail neighborhood liquor shop! Full stocked with every item you want with a wonderful selection of wine, beer and liquor... Been going for years! Across the street from Star Market and other small, eclectic, ethnic restaurants nearby. The owner is very helpful and approachable.Highly recommend it over the other very large, impersonal shops.5 ? stars!Across”

523 Broadway, Somerville“A small store packed with a variety of options for any occasion. However, my favorite thing about this place is how welcoming the staff are. Since I've moved to Somerville I've found myself going to Woodys for all my purchases. I mean, what store gives their customers valentine day cars?? So sweet.”
“I have come to this and the Medford location many many times. This one is shiny and new, great people. Great craft beer selection. The cashiers are so kind at both places, so much so my mother will not stop talking about a fellow in Medford who always goes above and beyond, and is so kind. They offered to carry items to her car, they care here.”

88 Broadway, Somerville“I needed whiskey bottle urgently to send a gift to someone who hosted us. The Tennessee bottles were delivered carefully and earlier than expected. Their shipping is also very reasonable. Placing order was very simple at this store and I will be getting alcohol delivered from them in future as well.”
“Basic sandwiches done well and in a cute retro general store vibe. And right next to their bakery/cafe so whether you like breakfast, lunch, or brunch, can do whatever you want.
I like their seasonal drinks like strawberry lemonade and excited to see what else they offer at different times.”
