Such a friendly man owns this market and he always makes my day when I shop! They sell lots of stuff that a convenience store 'should have' and they sell slush which is super fun in the summer! Service is really amazing and the new owner has kept the friendly vibe that they have had for the past 20 years.

Friendly Market is truly the friendliest market around. Great selection of items, and very friendly management who is happy to take suggestions if they don't have an item you're looking for. I highly recommend you stop by and check it out!! (They even have mini melts/dippin dots)

Friendly, yes. Market… eh. If you’re hoping to pick up your ups package the friendly man is incapable of giving it to you before 2pm. More like an “inconvenience store” if you ask me!

I went to this convenience store to pick up a few items by my brother's house. It's under new management as of last week and the new owner is SO sweet and kind. He's really passionate and asked if there's something we want in the store. It has a phenomenal selection and the owner cares a lot about his customers. 10/10 would recommend.

Maggots. dead maggots in the food. i went in to buy popcorn and i look inbetween the lining of the individual bags to see price and saw dead maggots all over them. i grab another and look and see more of them ALIVE. i walk up to the counter and tell the guy working there and he just shrugs, throwing one away and telling me there was nothing he could do. i swear this place is disgusting.

I like this little convenience store, my friend and I stop here occasionally on our walks and it is sometimes fun to browse the aisles and pick out some snack, recently picked up supplies for some classic grilled cheese and it did the trick. They may not have the same selection you could find at huge chains but they do have a nice personal touch. Employees have always been pleasant in my experience.

I was forced to go here to pick up an expensive UPS package that was diverted here.
I tried to pick up my package the next day, and arrived 30 min after their posted opening, but they were closed. I called all throughout the day to see if they had opened, but no answer.
I went the next day to an open store. The three people inside were rude, insisting the store had been open the day before and I should "be thankful" they held my package for me this long (2 days). I just wanted to get my package but they kept lecturing me.
Two of the three men were not wearing masks of any sort, fragrantly ignoring the COVID safety rules. I felt uncomfortable in the small store.
Will never go here again.

Owner/employee was not wearing a mask despite very clear COVID rules in Somerville. Businesses like this should be reported if we're ever going to get out of this pandemic

No mask worn by the owner while he walks around outside talking on his phone. When asked to move away from the sidewalk, told us to just cross the road if we have issue. Avoid if you believe in wearing masks and want to beat Covid-19.

The guy that works here was very rude. I asked him the same question twice and he started yelling at me. He was talking down on me as if I didn't understand what he said. I only needed a clarification. After I finally explained to him the situation, he realized he was wrong and didn't even apologize. I would never go here again.
