As an owner of my own construction/remodeling business, I have the opportunity to meet some amazing people from all walks of life, this means whenever I’m paid for services rendered, I may deposit the check(s) into one of my accounts out of Boston or surrounding areas but since I’m part time resident to the neighboring town, I stopped in to cash a check and the teller was nice but her supervisor was nasty. She interrogated me as if I was a criminal and being that I have a Florida DL, she said they don’t cash checks for people with out of state licenses. That’s a first, I’ve gone to many banks over the years and no problems. Eventually they finally got to where they were going to cash it and after all that I had to go thru, I said I’ll deposit it in my own bank. I’ll never go in that branch again in my life! It takes a lot to get me to that point.

Best bank around. No fees for accounts, they have overdraft forgiveness if you call and explain. Or if I do overdraft and put it right back in I won't get hit with fee. But I've never paid an overdraft fee cause of that. I also love how I have filed disputes after being scammed or money taken and with no issues I get my money back. I've had bank 5, Webster, bank of America and citizens bank and left due too poor service... but rockland trust definitely is the best to deal with.

Switched from Bank 5(Nasty Bank) in Swansea to this Rockland Trust Branch in Somerset. "Night and day".Rockland has the nicest tellers and less fees.Banks should take notice! Customers don't want to be greeted with a dry sense of humor or occasional attitude at their financial institution.Rockland Trust- Great Job!****Update- 8/20/2020****After being with rockland close to 2 years I had to reduce my rating to 3 stars simply because they do nothing for your business. They didn't try to help me with the PPP process and I ultimately was able to get a disaster loan through citizens bank. No credit, no nothing from rockland for my business in close to 2 years. I will be closing this account and moving over to citizens where I feel I will be better prepared for my business needs. People at rockland are generally good people just not interested in helping small businesses succeed.

Rockland Trust is a very people oriented bank. The staff there are very friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Randy is a great manager, he is always available to help with any problems you may have.

This bank or should I say "Robert Oliveira" put me through hell and let me burn for a while, multiple times in my home buying mortgage process, Robert Oliveira knows "NOTHING" about banking, I am lucky to be alive from all the stress he put me through. I was almost homeless because of his lack of experience then Rockland trust sold my mortgage 2 weeks later ? Save yourself a great deal of stress and aggravation and go elsewhere, I can not stress it enough.
