Estes was the delivery company for a shipment I was expecting. I got a text message with a delivery day and a time frame for the shipment. Signature required. Then I got a phone call and a voice mail with a slightly different time...well, OK. Anyhow the shipment was late close close to 2 hours, on a Friday afternoon after we pushed our plans off schedule. The driver was nice though, and had lots of stops...

I highly recommend this company for shipping. My order arrived right on time and the delivery guy was very nice and delivered my package with care. Keep up the good work you guys. Wish I could give a 20 star review.

Like some large freight carriers, Estes seems to struggle when it comes to customer communications.We had a delivery today, a yard machine bought online at Home Depot. No-one called to tell us it was on the way, and we had little to no information on when the delivery would happen. When the truck arrived the driver didn't bother to ring the bell to ask where to put it, he just proceeded to push it into our garage. Had I not walked out, I would have just found it (up-ended, by the way).As it turned out, the carton showed signs of rough handling and part of the machine was protruding through a hole in the cardboard. Fortunately there was no functional damage, but I'm NOT impressed.Admittedly this may be a difficult product to convey, but the absence of a phone-call compounded with no alert when the driver arrived made for an unsatisfying experience.I don't expect Estes to change anything due to my comments, but they need to hear it anyway.

Told delivery would arrive 10:15-2-15 with a call a half hour before arrival. Didn't show up and when called at 3:15, sat on hold for 25 minutes to find out the delivery person wouldn't get there till 5:30 because "he got a late start." Unbelievable!
