I really want to curse here but I will not. This stupid company caused my credit score dropped 96 points for an unbelievable stupid reason. I did not miss a single payment ever since I have credit score and it was all ruined because that that stupid autopay on their stupid website stopped working for 3 months and they flagged my report !!!!!! I started an auto loan with this company about a year ago, I did not know this company before, the car dealer asked me to use this company. I setup the autopay about a year ago. Then this year on June I found the my credit dropped 96 points and I then found out that my autopay just stopped working for 3 month already. I did not receive any notice that I missed payment and they just flagged me on my credit report. I immediately paid the whole amount and I called the customer service. I thought it will be easy since they can see clearly that my autopay stopped 3 month ago, all they need to do is just cancel the flag. But they replied that they totally understand my situation so they will remove the late fee. BUT according to their stupid rules, it is not their fault, a late pay is a late pay, there's nothing they can do about the flag on my credit. I then calls the customer service to find out how to set up autopay on their stupid website. It takes almost 30 mins for they own customer service to find the autopay settings. I just received my dispute result. My credit increased 39 points after the dispute but the late pay is still there. I got an late than 30 days payment record for no reason. I am going to dispute again this just makes no sense.

5.0 star rating 7/24/2018 To me it is the people who matter - people I deal with in the bank. I happen to go to the Barrington Branch - and they couldn't be nicer. I forget the name of the lovely woman at the desk but had an incident where I needed to set up a special needs trust for my brother - Elaine Marrero spearheaded it but I was also well served by the Manager. To a degree, I think all banks have problems - but these people at the Barrington Branch deserve a shout-out - pity I couldnt find their own yelp listing. By the way, I don't claim they are perfect - all banks have issues - but the people here seem to do their best to make banking a pleasant experience.

Great/friendly bank from the tellers to the reps. They fully go over everything you need to know about any and all accounts including rewards. They even walk you through how to use the mobile banking app. Ian was a big help and very knowledgeable.

Santander Bank steals from you. They started charging me $16 a month for "Inactivity Fees" after being promised this wouldn't happen when I previously tried to close my account (before I moved to a new area). When I asked if they could even refund one fee, they refused. This was after over $100 was taken in "Inactivity Fees" from my account. The only reason why I didn't notice sooner was because my statements were being sent to my parents house while I was in college. Don't trust your money (your future) with this terrible bank.

Most of the time the service is pretty quick, but boy are some of the tellers rude. They should be trained on how to speak to customers!!!
