Opened me a new account for no reason so she could get a bonus. Went into this branch for a debit card print out as my card was compromised, i work for a bank so I know when your CARD is compromised a whole new account is not necessary. The lady Devon who worked with me stated nope, she has to close my account and open a new one as they had all my account information (it was a scam apple bill debit charge) after I already stated once we shouldn't have to open a new one, she insisted, so I let her, she said my old account would be blocked, (its still active and open a month later) and she gave me a call about a week after i was in there to remind me to do the 2 10$ deposits so she gets her bonus. She 100% opened me a new checking account for a bonus purpose, she wasted my time, she opened a new acct for no reason, and calling a customer to remind them to do a service so YOU can get a bonus is unheard of. Im all set with citizens at this point. Especially this branch alone. Hoping she was not the manager, if so thats VERY scary.

By far worst Citizens I have ever been too, card was being decline at store and funds were available in my account and when I told the girl at the bank I just wanted to figure out what was wrong she said she couldn’t do anything about that and was “just a teller”. I tried to use the atm to take my money out and it told me my card was deactivated and to contact my financial institution and when I went back she gave me attitude so I’m closing my account and switching banks. Awful service.

This branch is located inside of Stop and Shop in Seekonk, MA on route 6. They usually have more than one teller working (which I love. BOA usually only has one teller and lines are really long). I have been coming to this branch for over 4 years now and very rarely have seen long lines. The tellers are very fast. The only thing about this location is that it opens up at 10am instead of 9am like other Citizens Bank locations.

Ashley says that the bank is trustworthy, but if you stay with them long enough, you'll be disappointed. This is one of those banks that charges a lot of fees, and they use accounting trickery to maximize those fees. I banked with them for six years until I accidentally overdrew my account. (Actually, I tried to cover the overdraft before it happened, but the bank closed early before a holiday -- earlier than they should have closed, in my opinion.) By changing the order that the withdrawals were posted to my account, the bank managed to charge me three $39 fees instead of one $39 fee. Although they refunded one of the fees, I still felt robbed by them, and I closed my account immediately. In 2009, when Ashley posted her review, perhaps they were a better bank than they are now. I do know that they toughened their fee policy in late 2013. When push came to shove, my good 6-year track record meant nothing to them. A bank which is so willing to alienate good customers should be avoided.

I am highly impressed with this Citizen's Bank. I recently came to this supermarket branch to deposit money and take some spending money out for various endeavors. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry. . . took my cash and rushed out. It was only until later I realized they shorted me $50. I called the bank immediately (5 minutes before they were set to close) and explained the situation. The teller was helpful in saying he'd check with the other employee's drawers at close to see if anyone was over. To my dismay, the following day I received a call explaining that all the drawers came out even and that there was nothing else they could do. I was furious!!! I was absolutely positive, without a doubt that I had been shorted. I simmered in anger for a few days. That was, until I received a letter in the mail saying my account had been credited $50 for a mistake made on their part. Amazing!!! Yaaaay! Glad things were fixed without my even having to push the higher ups to correct their mistake. The bank redeemed themselves in my eyes because I was on the verge of transferring my funds to another bank (not just due to this situation but from service rendered overtime through many different branches). At least I can be assured this bank is trustworthy in a sense.
