There standards are very low If you do find something that isn't stained or ripped it is so over priced Please check out Marshalls or TJ Maxx !

I’ve frequented this Savers for about 10 years now and have noticed in the last year, things have changed significantly. Prices are insanely arbitrary—items are marked very high (>$100) for items that are worth less than half. What drove me to write this review is that they now do not allow you to plug in electric items to ensure they turn on. Wanted to purchase a lamp and was told they no longer offer item testing. If an item doesn’t work, you can return within 24 hours for store credit only.
Savers receives items for free, sells at a high markup, and no longer allows a consumer to verify an item turns on, let alone works as in tended? This is a retail store, who should therefore assume the risk of the items they sell—not the consumer.
Still some deals to be found, but largely not worth the effort.

NO FITTING ROOMS and no returns, only exchange within 14 days!! This makes clothes shopping extremely difficult unless you live nearby or don't have any curves.

You need to have a plus size section. Don't allow workers with red coats on to carry their cell phones. I saw an employee texting. The woman with white hair, red coat, complained about doing something her supervisor asked her to do, stating I leave at 3 and it was 2pm. The supervisor, in the gray shirt, is pushing people to use self check out, where there are no directions on what to do. I had to push the help button 3 times before someone came over. Then she did it so fast, I couldn't have learned how to next time. I'm all for saving money, but not this bad! Store was very disorganized and finding a parking space was awful. Then the automatic doors open, even if you are going in the wrong way. Ridiculous!! Not returning!!

I dont like it when I buy 2 pairs of pants and the employee comes up to me at self check out saying “Let me check the machine if it’s calibrated.” Do you know what calibrating means? You would think she’d be looking at the register screen but looks through my clothes. I dont like being suspected of stealing. Just let customers know you’re checking their items. If you think people are stealing maybe eliminate Sco and get a new job. :)

Routinely great selection on my trips to this Savers location. Earlier this week, there was a really helpful and kind associate, Alissa who was right there to support my donation and fellow shoppers at self checkout…really appreciated that. Donations, no matter the size, are typically seamless at this location and it’s clear where to go. I’ve seen some cleanliness issues inside the store but not for lack of working hard, the team seems to be regular stocking and tidying the showroom. Would definitely recommend a stop when in the area.

The employees are rude. There’s no changing room. It’s truly a hit or miss overall.

Savers in Saugus Mass. Is one of the worst for higher prices. I stop donating and shopping in this store. I see shoes /sneakers that are torn, really worn out etc. and they want 5 to 6 dollars and more if it's a brand name. Used Clothes are treated like brand new. Seriously??? I have been wanting to start a protest in my town about this store. They are ripping decent hard working and those that are not able to work people off. Yes I understand the workers need to get paid. But the prices are keeping many people away which in turn the employees won't get paid. I happen to be there one day when the local fire chief was called in by someone who complained that the store drop off was a fire harzzard. It really was too. But it wasn't me who called. The workers don't care that people who drop of their belongings would like to see that employees care just as much as the donor. No instead they pile everything on top of everything else. Things get broken, glass is always on the ground. Extensions for electric items are put in bags so that they can sell them for money, Instead of keeping them with the original item. Unless the cord is manufactured inside the products. Lamps and lamp shades are taken apart and sold separately. I have donated many items to this store and I have to tape all cords to them as well as sheet sets. They come in the store as one item. But they separated them and charge more. Same with curtains and drapes. It's sickening at how much they try to rip people off. I was looking for a glass flower pot to hold fake flowers in. Yeah they had them at $2.99 or more. I left and found what I needed at the dollar store. This is one store I now avoid.
Update 5.7.21
Just added a photo of a $3.99 photo frame that was sold at the Christmas tree shop and Savers wants $7.99 for it. Store is still the same as written above but now they remove the lamp shades and sell them separately as well as all items that can be taken off from the original; item.

1. Bathrooms were disgusting, didn't look like they had been cleaned in a long time.2. Employees were rude when asking for help3. When asked for the managers name was told I will not give that to you, told that she was the manager nobody was above her.4. Overpriced dirty merchandise5. One star for the young man working donations who actually let me know the top managers name, knowing what happened with the woman claiming to be the store manager6. Also the Massachusetts Department of public health, bureau of environmental health license hanging is ripped but you can see it expired in 2022
