Crazy busy during February vacation but the two staff members worked their butts off to keep everyone happy! There was a great selection of pieces and variety of price range. We were very happy with the finished projects!

We looked up times on the website which specifically stated that they were open until 6 pm for February vacation on Saturday and Sunday. Our 6 year old was very dissapointed to walk in seeing other kids painting and being told it was closed at only 5:20.

Friends' daughters birthday was here today. 2 employees working a party for 21 kids and however many other people were coming in.Packed all 21 kids on 1 table, and it really should have been 2... but apparently, the 2nd table was for food only?Could have been a much better experience.

My opinion: I went for a recent outing for my nieces 6th birthday and from what I personally saw the employees were on their phone and not paying attention at all. Unpleasant attitudes and unhelpful. If you care about reviews look at how the owners respond to these comments. If the owners don’t like bad reviews then maybe they should fix their establishment.Beware! It seems like any bad review they receive they try to discredit/disregard the negative comments by claiming it’s a fake account, former angry employee or not their establishment. The owners need some accountability and I’m not seeing any of that in any of these comments. As a business, you rely on customers to keep your business going. How do you own a business and can’t take constructive criticism.Ps. Owners of plaster fun time, let me save you the trouble of trying to discredit my poor review. I’m a real customer, not a former employee or a fake account and I CERTAINLY ENTERED THE SAUGUS LOCATION right in the plaza where fuddruckers used to be (just if in case someone replies that it wasn’t their establishment) and all my previous 4 reviews are positive (since the owners like to go into profiles and investigate previous reviews, further not taking accountability of their store and employees).As stated previously this is my opinion.

Last month I had my daughter’s birthday party at the Saugus location. It was a horrible experience. 1) I did not get half of what was advertised and I paid 100s of dollars for. No special gift for the bday girl, no hats, no paper products, no hostess! Nothing that made my girl feel special or help me out while I entertained all the kids myself. I showed up as instructed 10 minutes before the party and they had no idea I was coming or prepared for the party. The worst part is I made multiple voicemails to the manager, went into the store and sent emails with no response back. Horrible experience! Don’t waste your money here! pick a different place that actually cares and doesn’t rip you off.

If you want to spend quality time with your family this is the best place to do it. No one can paint while using a can paint while using a cellphone ?. Kinda pricey though.

Went there a few weeks ago with my nephew- they were so rude so unhelpful some of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life! Stay away spend your money elsewhere

Would have contacted the owner directly instead of leaving a review if there was a way to do that on the website, but there is not, so I am happy to take this review down after the owner of the place acknowledges it as my intention is not to hurt the business but to let the owner know what is going on in there.I just went to visit this place with my 4 yr old granddaughter. She was very excited for the visit! We walked in at 3:20 and were told the shop was closing in 20 minutes so we could not paint. I said the website and google says you close at 5:00? She said that’s our summer hours, we are on school hours. I said that is extremely disappointing to a little one you really should update the website. Then I ask if we can take one home to paint, which I was not crazy about but didn’t want my granddaughter to be disappointed since I told her we were going to paint. She says sure. As we are picking one out I said what time do you actually close? Because 30 minutes seems like enough time to make a small statue if it’s 4:00. She said it needs to dry for 20 minutes so that’s why there isn’t enough time. I ask the woman if this is her business. She says no. Now it becomes clear to me she just wants to be able to close up early and not have to be there until 4:00. I could have taken it wet, I’ve done that plenty of times when my kids were little. I hope the owner sees this review and realizes his staff is costing him money. The ‘exact change is required’ sign on the door may also be causing people to turn away. You run a business and can’t go to the bank and get change for your register when it needs it? Do you want actually this business to stay open? Why close right at the time the kids get out of school when it’s a business that caters to children? Doesn’t make much sense. So I bought the statue, then had to pay $4 for a plastic paint brush. Such a disappointment and waste of the 2 hours I get to spend with my grandchild, I had to send the statue home with her so we never got to paint. Wouldn’t be surprised if this place is the next business on Rt 1 to close. Get some better staff in there if you want your place to stay open.

4 adults going to paint without kids with us. Other than the place needing more holiday choices it could use a big cleaning and/or refurbishing.

I’m so sad, they changed so much about this place from since I was a kid going to birthday parties. I always want to get the really big sculptures that costed up to 50$ - 70$ each. I waited so long to finally be able to buy these big sculptures myself. And they don’t have them any more, even when I was a kid I would get the 30$ sculptures which were still bigger than the sculptures they have now. (They also don’t have these anymore either) This was the only place you could get really nice animal sculptures that big that you could paint yourself. This place used to be somewhere parents can also enjoy along with their kid, but it’s turned into a place really only catered to 5-10 year old children and their birthday parties.

If my review was based on the girl/woman running the counter I'd give her 100 stars! But sadly this is about the shop itself. The Saugus location on Friday 7/14 about 10:45-11am is when we visited! We walked in and got hit like a ton of bricks with hot stuffy air. There was no AC. And honestly it was cooler outside. If I didn't talk this place up to my kids and they weren't so excited to be there we would've turned around and left. It was BRUTAL! They had one square window fan blowing, and 2 portable AC units not vented, and they were just blowing HOT AIR! It must've been over 100 degrees in there! The poor girl behind the desk was sweltering and so were my kids and I. An older woman came in which looked like to be with her granddaughter and she could barely stand it. My kids faces were flushed and they were dripping sweat! More than when they're out at the beach or playground running around in the sun! The girl behind the desk apologized but mentioned it had been this way ALL WEEK! It we visited on one of the cooler days. This is unacceptable and a business should not be allowed to run in these conditions. A customer or employee is going to get sick! Business should be shut down until further notice. I've made calls to the town of Saugus, and board of health.

We just hosted our son's 6th birthday here and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Everyone had a great time and the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Victoria took the lead on helping out our group and she was amazing - the patience and diplomacy she exercised with that group of TWELVE 6-year-olds was beyond what anyone could hope to expect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun birthday spot or just an afternoon hang with the kiddos.
