I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER GOING TO VETCO!!!
A few days ago, I brought my 12 week old kitten kyo to get him a kitten vaccine package. Despite filling out an intake form and handing the receptionist paperwork stating my kitten was already microchipped, not only does the vet not scan him, she microchips him again!!! I now have to update 2 microchips for my kitten for the rest of his life so he can actually be returned home should he ever be lost.
It also brings to question the professionalism of petco and vetco and just how easy it would be to rechip a stolen animal. It should be protocol to always scan a pet before inserting a microchip!!!
Plus when I reach out to customer service I get read a script they take no accountability!!!

Self dog wash. Charged full price and the dryers don’t work. Should have been told prior and given a discount. I didn’t get all the services I should have and was still charged full price. Won’t be back.

I got to my appointment front desk was to busy talking and when she did acknowledge I was there it was to tell me I was late for my dog appointment. Last two times I waited over 20 minutes for my dog to be seen.
By the way was not a grooming appointment was a wellness appointment.

Kim is so nice! She always remembers my dog, Flash, and me and always helps us with what ever we need. She makes going to the vet with a very anxious pup a much better experience.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this location or Petco. I have been taking my dog to the groomer at a different Petco for 5 yrs. We moved to this area and thought I would try it out. A manager (maybe the SM) talked me into signing up for the Vital Care Premier and I could cancel whenever. I figured I go enough I would give a try. I even decided to make my dogs vet appointment with them. Less than 24 hours before my dogs vet appt they canceled (mind you as a customer we have to give 48 hours notice to cancel). They tried to reschedule for dates I was not able to bring my dog and when I said I couldn’t the girl on the phone just said “ok”. I had to take off work for this appointment a few weeks in advance. It is not easy for me to just drop everything and bring her. I decided if I wasn’t take my dog or cat to them for vet services it was a waste to have to Vital Care Premier. I log in only to realize you can’t cancel anytime. It’s a year long subscription. I called their customer service and they were unhelpful. Just kept reading and repeating a script. So now I’m stuck with this service for 2 pets for the next few months (until the year subscription ends). I work (and have for the past 25 years) in retail so I understand what customer/client service is. They do not have it. Yes I should have asked for some sort of documentation but why wouldn’t I be told it was a year long commitment? PetSmart is getting a new customer.

The doctor and the vet tech were excellent. The doctor asked about any concerns and gave a full body check over of all my dogs. The woman who did the check in was also very patient in the examining space was great.

If I could give no stars I would after this horrible incident that just happened.
My cousin a US Navy Veteran is in hospice. He hasn't much time left. He has a beautiful miniature american eskimo that brings him joy and comfort which now could be the last few weeks of his life...
The hospice staff is wonderful with letting terminally ill Veterans have their pets vist of course as long as the veterinarian fills out the form they have all their shots.
My aunt took the form down to petco with all his shot records which the dog received from Petco. She explained kindly the situation if the form can be filled out as quickly as possible given the situation.
The veterinarian told her "I will get to it when I get to it." And after my aunt calling to check on the forms after two days...she goes to pick up the forms and the veterinarian writes a note in that the dog is "highly aggressive and needs a muzzle"
This dog has been seen a Petco since he was a puppy, received medical care, grooming and boarding at this location and there has never been an issue.
Sadly the issue is the veterinarian felt irritated that my aunt asked for the paperwork to be done quicker then the vet. Wanted to do it. Because her son could die at any point.
Now the my cousin's dog is unable to visit him in the last weeks of his life.
We all have stressful jobs and deal with stressful situations and people. But it's a sad state of affairs when someone takes their annoyance out on a dying Veteran by taking away their dog in their last days on Earth.
