This is a terrible bank, always has a skipgote,Bill pay is a joke, take forever to get your bills pay, I got penalized with late fee and finance charge and lost a lot of my credit score because of this bank, they refused reimburse for the fees,I put in my payment to deliver in a certain date,Witch were not fulfilled, they posted on my account when my payment got there. Do not use there bill payment, it's really unreliable, there tech is running like pony express, this bank is still using beta and VHS, this bank is so outdated, when you try to get a resolution, all you will get is a runaround, phone number Witch leat you to another phone number, you get the idea. Don't bother with this bank, go to another bank. you will have a lest a better friendly people.

I learned that a longtime family friend was being embezzled and extorted. They were about to lose their home (mortgage via Eastern) and were not aware as the villian in this story was a family member in charge of their finances. Once I was the legal DPOA, the team at Eastern jumped into action to help me protect their assets as well as worked with me in order to save their home of over 60yrs. I was so blessed by the team members at Eastern who each became a hero to this couple in their 80s. Without these angels, this story would have had a catastrophically different ending. God Bless you, my Saugus team (and mortgage) angels. You know who you are. ❤️

Its not the managers fault she is great but its so hard to find help let alone good help - nobody wants to work hard when they know the our country is currently SUPPORTING milllions of people fron shelter, to food, to people who dont work get more benefits than a hard-working young person making minimum wage 40 hours a week, so why would that person want to go to work at a bank when they see their friends sitting home all day sleeping&?they can get everything they want for free or damn near free? Its a huge societal problem

They are great for domestic banking. Run away for anything else.Went on a Saturday to do an international wire transfer. Was told needed to come Monday through Friday before three. Went on Wednesday at 2:15 and started the process, which took over 45 minutes to do. At 3:07 was told that it was past 3:00. Okay that is ridiculous. I went there enough time to do this. It is not my fault that they hire incompetent people. Also it is only $250 euros not millions. This is not the only time mishaps happen international banking with them. That is why the next time I go in will be to close my accounts.

I called before noon and asked if they had 25, two dollar bills. They said yes, in the vault. I went in at 3:40, no two dollar bills. I told them I called earlier and no one checked the vault.

I want to say thank you to the bank tellers Sheryll and Donna for all there help calling other branch's to find me one not only open on a sunday but have a working coin machine as there's was out of service im so happy to have joined Eastern bank after over 30 Years at East Boston Savings Bank/Rockland Trust i can't thank you enough

Your money is safe at Eastern Bank. Or any bank, really.So, what makes one bank better than another? Convenience. The more branches the better. The more access to free ATMs the better. On the North Shore of Massachusetts, Eastern Bank stands out. I like them enough that I bought stock in the company.

Reason why I stopped using this bank number 667! Had to put my daughters car money in my all but closed account. Went to get it today ALL branches are now closed on Sundays! Tried my atm and they froze my card. Calle the 800 number it’s after hours guy can’t help me. Gave me the fraud number nope no fraud even though the after hours guy said there was. Now I call again and I’m told I need to call a branch for help! They’re ALL CLOSED!!! My daughter looses out on buying the car she wanted!!! Once again screwed by Eastern and why I never unless absolutely needed use this Bank!

Been a account holder since I was a teenager. Today might have just ended that long relationship. I went in to open a new account, they have this cooky system at the Saugus branch, sign in on a clip board by the tellers, then go sit and wait on the opposite end of the bank from customer service and behind a wall and other decor. I do this and begin my wait in the designated waiting area at approx 2pm. At 2:45pm I walk back over and check the list and says I am still next in line. I returned to the waiting area until 3:20pm I walk over again, and now my name is crossed off and 2 other names are below mine already crossed off and now after almost a hour and half of waiting I am told by Tina (Customer service rep) I need to sign in and go wait in the correct area. I told her I did and have been waiting since 2pm, she turned and walked away from me without offering response and continued with what she was doing. I will be closing my nearly life time account Monday and taking my business else where. Completely unprofessional. I am looking forward to speaking to the Branch Manager on Monday.
