I sent my antique barometer from Kansas to Massachusetts. Parke, the owner took his time and found all the right parts. Now my family keepsake works beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with the transaction.

My experience is finding the shop closed and only open “ by chance or appointment.”That would have been nice to know, Google.

Owner was dishonest about his product. We received a totally different tide clock than what we ordered. The tide clock we got was so poorly constructed, didn't line up or close and was shipped from India through Nagina International. Clearly the owner lied about his "suppliers" only shipping from Massachusetts. Buyer beware..

Got his number from cape cod wind and weather as one of their distributors ,sandwich is closer to me than harwich so myself and my customer called to check on the availability of some parts need to restore her meters . We called and talked to this guy , he said yes i have those parts in open boxes(lie#1) i can ship to you this afternoon (thursday) and you should have them by friday the next day ,which according to his shipping chart was possible . Friday comes and goes , saturday the mailman comes and nothing ,so i call him he tells me that the conversation he remembers was that he would order the parts from the manufacturer (in harwich) (lie #2) and they would ship them to me and that i would have them by tuesday (monday is my customers husbands birthday and this was one of his gifts) .Si explain about the birthday issue and ask if he has them there , he says yes but i really dont like to split up the boxes , so that proves right off the bat that he lied through his teeth about having open boxes !I tell him i need the parts for monday morning he says ok come down and get them , so i hop in my car battle the cape traffic on a saturday , get halfway there and i get a call from my wife that he just called and says he doesnt have the parts in stock . Wow , he said he had open boxes thursday and then tells me saturday morning he will open the boxes and give me the parts and then changes his mind by the time i got halfway up there. The guy is a j*** and a liar . From now on ill order directly from harwich and save myself and my customer the aggravation. BTW my customer and i had him on speaker phone during the whole call on thursday and she just confirmed every word i said . Buyer bewre of this place

I travelled down from Boston for a particular item - an English Barometer that I had seen online. Parke was extremely knowledgeable and helpful from our original phone call through to meeting him in person - it's clear that the shop is his passion. The shop itself is very quaint and has lots of interesting things. Extra bonus - they did a great drop wrapping the barometer into a travel-safe package. Could not be happier! Thanks!

I ordered an outdoor thermometer as a gift. It's a bit small but it's well made. The readings were off by about 7 degrees consistently. It's a thermometer - it has one function and it didn't do that very accurately. A thermometer that doesn't provide accurate temperature readings isn't too useful. $42 with tax and shipping down the drain.

set in one of the most beautiful towns in new england....a small village called sandwich which evokes images of history the houses are stunning, the trees perfect, the people full of love for their town. We stopped of at the weather house, and step into another world of interesting artefacts from old maps, beautiful lamps, plus other delightful items that the collector would wish for.....we also meet the owners son who now looks after this incredible shop who was putting together a wind devise to capture the winds movements in the form of art......it was beautiful ...pity my case was so small.......

Owner is rude and has no interest in making a sale. He's only interested in closing up shop. Will never return to buy anything from him!
