Went to visit the gift shop. Will try to actually visit the museum next time. Beautiful artistry on display. Would love to learn the details of the long history or glass making in Sandwich. My mom always loved Cranberry Glass and the Cape. They also have books of Cape related items in the shop as well.

The museum is interesting and has a good timeline of the history of the sandwich glass company. I really enjoyed the museum but not all the staff were very friendly and I was asked to leave early by a staff member. I wish they would have told me upon entry that they were closing early as I probably wouldn’t have purchased tickets. The glass blower who gave the demonstrations was knowledgeable and happily answered the audiences questions. I just wish I wouldn’t have been asked to leave before 5 without prior warning.

There was a great movie to explain the history of the glass company in Sandwich. We really enjoyed the live demonstration of creating a glass pumpkin. I ended up buying a smaller one in the gift shop. I love the different textures on the pumpkin. Also, the vibrant color. While in the middle of the history movie, a bus or two arrived. I wish the people from the bus waited for the next showing instead of walking in and disturbing the people already in the show. The exhibits were interesting, seeing several designs of the same item. Also, guessing what a piece was made for was entertaining and then reading about it.The location was in a village area and very quaint.

Totally enjoyed our FIVE STAR visit to the Sandwich Glass Museum. As a North Carolinian, I had no idea about the history of glass production in this region, nor the wide variety of beautiful products created over the decades. The museum contains thousands of items, large and small, active demonstrations, a brief video presentation, and more. Highly recommended if you're in the Cape Cod / Boston region.

I had AT&T fix it and something kicked their photos off again ???…

So glad that we stopped and visited the glass museum in Sandwich. On the hour there is a working demonstration of glass blowing where you can ask questions and see various forms of glass work. The museum then covers the history of the region and has several pieces of antique crystal and glasswork. There is a section for current/local artists which tends to be more whimsical. All in all, it's a great way to spend an hour or so while out on the Cape.

We have spent years coming out to the Cape and not sure why we haven’t been here until today.Really great museum of the history of glass making in the area plus they do demos of glass making. It’s definitely larger than I expected and some really great pieces of glass.Definitely recommend checking the place out. Give yourself at least 1 hour so you can catch a demo and take your time going through the museum.

The Sandwich Glass museum took me by surprise... It is much larger and much, much nicer than I could have imagined. It shows a fascinating slide of local history, and I really enjoyed myself tremendously. Not only are the historical exhibits excellent, well lit, well signed (and occasionally, narrated), there are modern pieces that are innovative, beautiful, and fun, as well as live demonstrations. It was great!

We were driving down to the Cape, and I wanted my husband to see this museum. The collection of vintage glass is awesome. I had not been there for many years. They also have modern pieces. They do glassblowing demonstrations throughout the day. It is well worth a stop in Sandwich.
