April 2024 by chance carpenter
Unfriendly people/staff, extremely overcrowded, teenagers standing around socializing in everybody’s way and dirty machines. If you’re looking for an efficient and friendly workout environment this ain’t it. Horrible experience.

A gym that is all about profits, and not about the people! Take for example, their group exercise programs. By bringing in Les Mills programing, they promote the most dumbed down version of exercise possible, and the masses eat it up beacuse they know no better! Their goal is simply to pack as many bodies into the classroom as possible. I feel badly for all of those who are destroying their bodies, but are deceived into thinking that they got a great workout! This is what happens when the gym is only thinking of the bottom line, and not actually concerned with teaching people's bodies to function optimally. Also, watching the young and inexperienced personal trainers work with members is a painful experience to watch!

I come here for the pool. It’s solid. However be aware: they are increasingly adding outside swim classes and teams in the lap lanes which makes it really difficult for those of us who work 9-5 to get a good after-work workout in. There’s usually only two lanes available for open swim and half the time they’re occupied by water walkers who I wish would use the non-lap pool instead. Happy to share lanes but it ends up feeling really claustrophobic at times.I joined last summer when there were fewer teams/lessons and feel that I signed up under a false impression of how open their pool is. No one told me youth swim teams use this facility during the school year. Maybe things will die down again when school is out but I do feel the gym should be more transparent about this up front and post lap and therapy pool schedules on their website.I do appreciate the open Friday nights! It’s my favorite time to go.

Great gym, has everything you need and more including the basketball and pickleball courts and pool; at a very reasonable price

Everyone here is unbelievably friendly and professional. There was an issue with my membership, but the problem was solved within minutes - meanwhile continuing to take phone calls, say hello to customers they know by name, and fix my issue like it was nothing. Love it here!

If you want a gym that values members and members experience look elsewhere. Customer service reps are routinely tense. I’ve been a member here for 5 years through different owners but the same staff. If you want everything this gym offers and better employees and INCREDIBLE trainers go to Hamstead Health and Fitness in Hampstead NH. It’s cheaper, with people that value their gym and members, also open 24 hours

Fantastic!!! The upgrades have been fast and great since Choice Fitness took over the club. I love the atmosphere and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I appreciate how comfortable I feel working out during my weight loss journey. Saltwater therapy pool and hot tub help too!! ???

Its crazy how one employee can affect a business with bad attitude and lack of professionalism .For this reason I decided to cancel my membership today .Imagine opening an account for your 2 kids minor of age 12 and getting charged every month but your kids cant use the gym ,The manager says its ok they can use the gymThe front attendant says your kids cant come in to a gym you paying for them ..Please ((( FIGURE IT OUT )))If there is liability for kids under 12 why there is a lot of kids under of 12 using the gym?I was alloud to open a membership for them in first place and IT WAS NEVER A PROBLEM TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH.

Imagine paying for a service you cant use?!Terrible experience with one of the front attendant ( bad vibes ).I was allowed to open a membership for my kids age 5 and 7 and pay for it but having to explain everytime I got in the front door,If kids under age 12 cant use the gym do not let people open accounts and PAY for it.Do not charge people for services you do not offer in first place .

I have been a member of choice fitness for over a year now since I moved up north. They opened this location right near my house, so it was perfect for me. I was paying $27 a month, a fair price. Now they "don't accept my membership" at this new location. They want $50 a month plus a $150 fee, or $60 a month with no extra fee. All I do is lift weights and sit in the dry sauna. They are absolutely out of their minds if they think people are going to pay $50 or $60 a month, plus a $150 fee. I will be canceling my membership and finding another gym. That is rediculously over priced, and I do not expect them to last long while charging that much money, it's not even close to worth that much. ?

Choice fitness took over BSC in Salisbury and has literally turned around a total s***h*** into an amazing gym. I am literally amazed at everything they have fixed and updated. I cannot believe how quickly this company has turned things around and how many new members have joined since they took ownership. Choice fitness deserves a round of applause. Well done!

My first day , I paid $150 for a membership and $49.98 for the first month. I assumed that it was a first quality gym based on the reputation of Latitude and Boston Sports, now called Elite . All the equipment was dated and worn, I mostly joined for a steam room . The steam room was untiled and broken, the members told me it was like that for many months and the manager promised future repairs which never happened. Being my second day , I tried to cancel my membership and the only way to do this was pay another $100 cancellations fee. After 2days out $250 ... stay away from this dump. lifetime in Peabody is a country club and if you have Unided health insurance , it is covered

Club was sold to Choice Fitness in 9/22. Giving up my membership after losing literally hundreds of dollars due to poor accounting practices. I'm being generous in not calling it "crooked". I've been charged 3 times for personal training sessions that I never received because I canceled the service BEFORE CF took over! I've made multiple attempts to work with the club & it's always passing the buck to the "main office." So save your money & find another gym. This one is definitely not worth the money or aggravation. **one star only because I couldn't post a review without it.**
