“Route 1 Antiques is not to be missed! We’ve been back a few times since our initial visited and we always discover something new. Three floors packed with everything you can think of and some stuff you couldn’t dream up if you tried. They’ve got glass case items on the main floor and an area of antique clothing and lace.In the basement there is a huge selection of glassware and porcelain as well as art and furniture pieces. In the attic at one end you can find professionally made bow ties. At the other end at the top floor you can find toys, comics, Trek Model Kits and an array of military items.I myself discovered a metal soldier figure which when researched turned out to be representative of the famous Roland the Knight!Much more to explore there and I can’t wait to get back!”

“I had a beautiful experience with Kat. She was incredibly helpful and super kind and inviting. Many stores will rip you off when buying crystals but the crystals here are VERY affordable and they have a great selection. Thanks Kat!”

“I absolutely love this shop! In fact they have two locations! My 13 year old daughter and I had a great time browsing, she loves vintage jewelry and I found some amazing mid century décor for my home. They seem to have something for every taste in antique and vintage, and the owner and staff are very knowledgeable and were helpful and pleasant in answering my questions. We will definitely be back!”

“Taking a detour off Market Square, I came upon Inn Street, a very narrow one-lane street that has been closed off to form a pedestrian mall with shops. The first one was the Brass Lyon. This shop has a nautical theme which fits well in this coastal city that was once a bustling seaport. Inside, I found a variety of merchandise. On the lower level, I saw T-shirts, sport caps, and jewelry cases as well as compasses. Chelsea clocks and weather instruments hung above the main area. Upstairs, I found a lot of models of sailing ships – yachts and old tall ships. I particularly liked one that was gaff-rigged which is my preferred rigging because it provides more sail area for the same mast height which means less hardware and other benefits. There were a lot of brass items that included door knockers and plaques. One unusual item was called Shark Off. It was a piece of jewelry that was supposed to repel sharks. As with most Newburyport shops, everything here was quality. I rate Brass Lyon at 4.50 and can recommend a visit. The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews. If you found this review useful, please click HELPFUL.”

“Outside is decievingly rough, there are some older weathered antiques outside but inside there are some very fine and unique pieces amidst apparent replicas and new pieces of furniture and some very attractive non-antique adornments to purchase. Prices were premium as was the quality.”

“My husband and I relocated from PA to NH and Sandy was recommended to us by a colleague. We absolutely loved working with her! She did live video tours with us since we couldn't be there. She was very honest about the condition of the houses we looked at and when we finally found our house she took care of everything and went out of her way to deal with a problem. She also found us a fence company to fence the yard! I can't say enough about how great she was!!!”

“Not many of these places left nice family owned business. If you are doing any kind of late 18 century early 1900 remodel this is the place Hardware, flooring, doors, trim and if they don’t have it just follow them on Instagram and be patient I have been looking for Hardware for an old door took me a year and a half but I did find it there definitely worth the visit”

“Recently got a new television for our living room and we didn't want to hang it on the wall like we normally do so I spent weeks looking for the perfect console and stumbled upon this one. It fit the bill and checked all the marks. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is heavy duty. Real wood inside and out - no corners cut. Got it delivered in a large box safely packed and it took only 10 minutes to assemble with no issues unlike some other big box furniture stores. This particular piece is part of certain line of products they carry and if we had more space I would be going back to get the full matching set. Buy it for life furniture at a reasonable/competitive price. 10/10”

“Huge Barn Full of Antiques! It was bustling with activity Sunday. Families shopping together, grandkids asking their grandparents what things are. You really could spend hours just looking at everything, and many do...It's almost a Museum Americana: Figurines, furniture, memorabilia, clothes, art, toys, any antique you could imagine, is here...Service is friendly and kind. When I apologized for not buying more, the man at the door said, "But did you have fun?"Yes yes! Absolutely :)”

“The ladies that run the place are nice, and the selection is always fun. What surprised me was the first time I came in, they knew I wasn't local (at the time) and chatted me up a bit. Next time I came in was 10 months later, and they remembered me!Some random person that came in nearly a year ago and was there for maybe 30 minutes, and they remember me as I walk in. Felt very nice!”
