As a postal worker of 40 years in Ireland I have to give this building 5 stars as it's one of the most impressive postal buildings I've seen in all my travels. You'd think I'd stay away from work on my holidays. Lol.

Salem PO is by far the worse Post Office ever.. thankfully I get a preview of my mail because I'd be screwed if not .. if I really want my *important * Mail it has to be sent to my family member.. if I want all spam I don't want then there's no problem.. this isn't the 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th or 100th time this has happened either. You report it and they say well there's nothing we can do.. ok I have the photo of my expected mail which means you have it... so what's the problem? No answer and hung up on.. again by far the worse Post Office.. ?So it doesn’t matter if you complain about not getting important mail, my mailman doesn’t know how to read cause he’s giving my neighbors my mail.. again it’s the important mail, why? Cause this is the 10th time one of my neighbor got my mail and kept it for a week. 1 even opened it too.. apparently the neighbor thinks we have the same last name idiots…

I really like the employees. They are professional and act as quickly as possible. Best post office I have been to. Beautiful old chandeliers and entire atmosphere makes me look forward to going here.

I was supposed to get a package from Florida from my mother.
To the driver who makes deliveries on Mason Street.
Your dishonest and I'll be sure to get you on fraudulent waste and abuse just like most government jobs.

This may be the most beautiful post office in the US, the architecture inside and out is magnificent. I was a Summer letter carrier (mailman) for two seasons while in college, it was the best summer job and paid well, too. I seriously thought of becoming a career letter carrier. I absolutely love the US Postal Service, the best postal service in the world. It is one of those things our federal government does very well. Our post office system was created by the US Constitution, Benjamin Franklin was the first Postmaster of the United States. The US Postal Service is an American institution worthy of respect and appreciation. I urge everyone on a visit to Washington DC to visit the US Postal Service Museum, part of the Smithsonian museum system, it is fascinating. Thank you to the USPS, I’m one of the many Americans who is proud of the best postal service in the world.
