The Trolley Depot is one of my go to stores to buy souvenirs when I visit Salem. I've shopped here 17-18 times over the past 24 years. Great staff and products. Highly recommend.

This place was definitely the best souvenir shop you'd want to hit up in Salem! Trolley Depot will have what you're looking for at the most competitive pricing along the market. Sizing from small to 3X in most shirts (around $18-$24) and hoodies. mugs / cups, stickers, general knick knacks (and our favorite - POSTCARDS!)
You'll likely be in a line for a short while, but it's well worth the wait. We were inside within 5-7 mins and never felt rushed through. The staggered entrances kept the store busy, but not packed to the brim.
Seriously worth checking this one out.

I've been back and forth the last few days deciding if I wanted to leave this review. I don't like bashing companies, but sometimes there are certain experiences that I like to share just to save others from the same thing. After reading other reviews, I realized I wasn't the only one to experience this issue, so I wanted to share my story.
I was in Salem this past week with my husband and some friends. We stopped at the store as I was looking for souvenirs not only for ourselves but also for some friends and family back home. When I first walked in the store I was excited there were so many different options and there were great prices. I couldn't wait to find some cool things.
I was looking for a shirt for my brother when a employee with dark hair loudly shouted across the store that they wouldn't have my size. A couple people looked over and I felt embarrassed but not wanting to further the interaction I just said okay and moved further down. I continued to look at other shirts for my brother. Also I want to point out I did find my size in the store but that's not the point she made an assumption because I'm plus size. I continued to look at another shirt for my brother and she again said that they wouldn't have my size in the store but louder this time. More people were looking over and it was embarrassing and frustrating. I should have to explain to her who I'm looking for just to have her leave me alone. I get many stores don't carry plus size. With health issues. It's taking me forever to get back to where I am and I'm still working on it. I shouldn't have to sit here and explain this either just to make my point valid. But it doesn't mean she should loudly criticize me . I should have been able to find out on my own if they didn't have my size. Or again Like I said, I wasn't even looking for me and she didn't know that she just made an assumption. My friends and husband were also frustrated and decided to put back some items and left with only a few things we thought we couldn't find elsewhere. We only spent $20 instead of probably closer to $200 after this.
If she really needs to let customers know they can't get their size maybe go up to them and ask nicely if they need help finding something instead of bashing them for all to hear in the store.

I have a thing where I have to visit multiple gift shops while I am on vacation to see who has a better selection and/or deals. The Trolley Depot was the third one I visited during my recent trip to Salem, and I thought this place was so freaking cute. They have such great gift ideas for pretty decent prices. The staff here is great as well as everyone was friendly and helpful. The store is on two levels, and everything is well organized. Besides Moons Shop and Twilight House that is close by, this is the other souvenir shop to definitely check out!

My mom and I went to Trolley Depot twice during our stay because they had the cutest gifts. Of you're looking for t-shirts that have Salem slogans or vintage looking halloween, this is the place. Very family friendly! Nice staff as well. We worked with three ladies who were all lovely and kind.

On Saturday, we arrived at the Trolley pick up/drop off spot at 3:55, and there was no attendant. We walked to the related shop on Google maps, and they informed us we must buy tickets the day of from the trolley pick up/drop off spot, but by the time we walked to to shop we missed the 4pm trolley. The next day, we arrived at the pick up/drop off spot, and the attendant states they can't sell any more tickets because they're not sure if the 12:30pm shuttle is full. They don't count as they sell tickets? We ask if we can purchase tickets for a later time such as 3:30pm or 4pm, but they state since they are the acting attendant because the actual attendant is at lunch, they were unable to do so. This was a zanily horrible encounter with this business.

This is a big novelty store on the corner of Essex St in Salem which is the main road downtown with many shops and attractions. During Oct the street is closed for pedestrians only so you can safely walk around.
The shop doesn’t have anything of major consequence but it does have every cutesy Halloween item you might be looking for. From T-shirts to books, Christmas ornaments to socks, you name it. And the staff is also friendly and helpful.
Appropriate for all ages and LGBTQ friendly as is most of Salem.

To me, this is the best shop in Salem, especially for souvenirs! Great prices, great selections. Bought a bunch of items when I was there and upon returning home I ordered more online, tshirts and keychains and literally received the items within days and I'm in the Chicago area. The store has everything you can imagine and the staff is so kind and helpful. You have to stop in when your in Salem!

Great Minds Think Alike ?
I bought the fantastic ‘Ditsy Mushroom’ skirt by Eva Rose a couple months ago at Modern Millie, then checked back there last week looking for additional sock ideas.
“Try across the street at the Trolley Depot!” they recommended, & this pair by ‘Yo Sox’ are what I found…What are the chances?! ?

Cute little shop with a wide variety of fair priced souvenirs. Magnets, key chains, coffee mugs, coaster, ornaments, pens, t-shirts and hats...they have it all. Staff is friendly and helpful, too. We came back a few times during our stay in Salem.
