Pet Stores & Supplies
New England Dog Biscuit Company
7 Central St, SalemMy fussy little dog has kidney disease so I went in search of treats for his new condition. They bake their own there, that have no concerning ingredients, and offer a sample to try. He loved them, went home with 2 bags.

It's Raining Pets Inc
3 Bridge St, SalemMy pup escaped our yard and animal control brought him to It's Raining Pets (likely knowing how much he'd be loved). Brenda spent the whole time with him like he was her own. She even came in on her day off so I could retrieve him. I couldn't be more appreciative!

Alicyn's Laundro-Mutt
131 Boston St, SalemThis place is great at accepting new clients!Maureen is very welcoming! She is also very good at dealing with dogs that have high anxiety. My first time meeting Maureen she met with me so that my two dogs could get to know her. The following weekend she fit me right into the schedule. They both came home happy & clean! Not to mention, they let her cut their nails, and they never let anyone get near them.

Hawthorne Animal Health Care
120 Canal St, SalemWe took our cat to them for a second opinion. The previous vet had told us the only option was to do an extremely invasive procedure. Dr. Friedman solved the problem with a simple X-ray! We're changing over to them for sure!

All Creatures Veterinary Hospital
20 Commercial St, SalemOur dogs had an emergency after eating something and we needed to quickly have help from a vet in the area as we’re visiting. They took us quickly and helped both of our dogs who are great now!
Everyone we met was incredible nice and thoughtful with our questions for our dogs. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and if we lived here they would be our go to Vet. Thanks so much

Healthy Hounds Doggie Daycare and Professional Pet Portraits
233 Washington St, SalemThe owner of Healthy Hounds, Rachel, absolutely loves dogs and it shows through the individualized care and attention she gives to each of her client pups, as well as their owners! She treats my pup like he is a member of her own family, and beyond that, has helped me by making training recommendations based on her observations and interactions with my dog. Rachel has a thorough understanding of the dog care and training scene on the North Shore and is happy to share her knowledge and experience with her clients, which I have greatly appreciated.Rachel is hands on and personally involved in the facilitation of playgroups to ensure a safe and rewarding experience for all of the pups in her care. Their safety is her first priority, and its so nice to be able to leave my dog at playgroup confident that he is safe, well looked after and also having a blast! Rachel is forthright and transparent about the practices at Healthy Hounds and was happy to show me inside her awesome facility when I inquired about joining. She also offers a pick up and drop off service, which makes sorting the logistics of my day much easier and ensures that my pup gets out for play. I cannot recommend Healthy Hounds strongly enough. They are undoubtedly among the best in the business.

Companion Synergy
3 Skerry St, SalemWe have been with Companion Synergy for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier. We started using their playgroup services after our husky got attacked by an uncontrolled dog at the local dog park. At Companion Synergy, I have peace of mind now knowing my dog can play with other dogs in a supervised and safe environment where she is grouped together with dogs of the same temperament. In addition to the weekly playgroup, we have also used their dog walking, overnight, and nutrition consultation services and have been 100% satisfied with everything. Not only are Liz and Christian trained professionals who know what they are doing, you can also tell that they deeply care about every creature in their care as if it were their own family member. We are truly happy and grateful they have become part of our and our dog's life.

Yappy Pups Playhouse
4 Tulip St, SalemI can’t say enough great things about Yappy Pups. Kathy and her team are absolutely fantastic and their genuine love for our dogs shines through in everything they do. They treated our yellow lab as if he were family. On one occasion when our dog wasn't feeling well, Kathy generously offered to take him to his vet if necessary! We feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to have found Yappy Pups and for the 3+ years our dog spent having fun there

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Holy Cow Ice Cream Cafe
181 Fort Ave, SalemForget all the other ice cream places on the North Shore, this is the best by far! Highly recommend the award-winning Ritzy AF and Boston Blackout, but you can't go wrong with any of the other flavors. Well worth the trip (and calories)!

Goodnight Fatty
1 Washington Square, SalemIncredible cookies! I was concerned about portion size but they’re the right size for how decadent they are. You can hear Crumbl shaking. Cute kid-cudi-man-on-the-moon type decor, and outdoor area, too. I got the Kit Kat cookie with swirl soft serve, a sweet respite from walking the streets of Salem after dark.

East Regiment Beer Company
30 Church St #B1, SalemI went here in September 2024 with some friends for a podcast meetup and had such an amazing time! Dillon, the bartender, was a gem and so was Sean. They made our trip truly unforgettable. The space is roomy for a dive with cute and clean indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had heating lamps which was also a nice touch. I did not personally get any food, but a few girls ordered the smores packs and said they were delicious. We were also able to bring in some snacks from outside the bar which was so nice of them to accommodate. Highly recommend if you're in the Salem area!

Far From The Tree
108 Jackson St, SalemThe cider was predominately on the sweet side. They did have a Hocus Pocus flight, in theme for Salem in October. The New England Cider and the Hopped cider are more dry. I appreciated those more than the sweet.

All Souls Lounge
282 Derby St, SalemLove this haunt! Fantastic cocktails, great service and veg friendly! I know everyone raves about the grilled cheese and I should have gotten that, but I went with the Seitan Bahn Mi. Unfortunately, it's not at all a Bahn Mi and it truly wasn't that great. Stick with the grilled cheese!

Longboards Restaurant & Bar
76 Wharf St, SalemWe were seated right away. Service was a little slow but it was extremely busy since we were in Salem in October. The food was good. The atmosphere was VERY VERY loud due to some drunk ass locals that had no clue what volume means. They were so obnoxiously loud. However food was very good and portions were large.

Spells Coffee Shop & Market
130 North St, SalemI don’t normally write reviews but I just found this great spot for coffee and breakfast, on may way to down town Salem. Great breakfast sandwich that was way beyond the run of mill fast food junk. It's also in a great location, if heading into town or on your way out. They had really cool shop, that had Authentic witches brooms, just need the Capuchino to make them fly. Definitely a must-visit if you're in hitting Salem for the Freak show this Halloween!
