I ne-ver ever take the time to write Google reviews, but my experience with this team yesterday left me so disheartened and frustrated that it feels like the only actionable option. Not even going to get into the details as I'm not convinced there's someone there who cares for the feedback. If management would like to hear more, please let me know.

*Let me preface this review by saying that my mother has been a vet tech for 40 years so I have a good understanding of what quality patient care is. Do not bring your cat here if you actually care about your cat.
As a new resident to Salem, I chose this clinic out of convenience and soonest availability. Had I done my research and had more time, I would have gone somewhere else. I continued care with this practice for about 4 years but ultimately, my 6 year old cat paid the price.
I had the absolute worst experience with Dr. Ashley Gallagher for a last minute sick visit. My cat was peeing blood (he was notably hard to work with, even noted everywhere in his chart) but she seemed completely surprised with his behavior and didn't know how to handle him. I brought a urine sample (very hard to get from a cat peeing blood) and she didn't even look at it, just had me throw it away. The visit note also noted a heart murmur in my cat, but I'm not sure I was told that at the time of the visit. I found her very dismissive & didn't feel like she cared about my cat at all.
After that debacle, I preferred seeing Dr. Wilson. She was friendly enough but never followed up on the heart murmur in my cat.
At the end of March, my cat went in for a routine sedate & shave (after doing required bloodwork and an office visit) and died right in front of me, at home, 5 days later, at only 6 years old. I can't help but believe that it was the result of something that was missed or happened at the clinic.
I have since transferred clinics for my other cat. When I notified them of the death of my cat and asked for his records, there was not an ounce sympathy or concern.
I think this clinic may be fine for dogs, but they are do not care for cats and seem untrained on how to handle them.

if I had to give a place zero stars i would. in 2020 i took my dog prince to the vet, he was 10 years old and had kidney failure. the vet gave prince the wrong medication and didn’t realize his age until a few days later after I was giving him the medication that was prescribed to him. the person on the phone apologized and said they thought he was 5 years old (the age of my other dog momo). i don’t understand how you can possibly get your patients age wrong when all of their information was in their charts. prince was put down and i had to say goodbye to my baby. i hate driving by this place.

The hospital manager was extremely unprofessional. While sitting in my vehicle waiting to check in, as instructed, (it was emergency care), my dog and I were verbally assaulted by another client….. not once but three times. Despite observing the altercation, the hospital manager took it upon herself to evict me from the building, and ALL medical care, b/c I made “threatening statements” in defense of my dog. She further called the Salem Police on me, when I asked if they could see my ill dog, if I waited outside. Very unprofessional, which is sad since I’d been a faithful client for over seven years.
The “Dangerous” dog they will undoubtedly refer too in their response

Called to see if they accepted FOA certificates, they said yes. I received the certificate and now they’re saying no. This is why I don’t take my pets there anymore. They’re so unreliable and have been for years.

Had my cat spayed there. They are very caring towards the animals. Will be my vet unless something bad happens.

I've been taking my dog to this vet since late 2020 and have had good experiences overall. Recently, my dog started experiencing symptoms and tested positive for two illnesses. Dr. Gallagher and the team here have been very helpful in coordinating her care and answering my many, many questions about treatment timelines, cost, medication, side effects, and her overall health. I appreciate them taking the time to talk through all of my concerns and their wonderful care of my dog.

My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. There r one star review s . I would like to say I understand. It was with Sarah. In researching, cancer treatment cures Lyme disease tick allergies bites. In this area, I would just like to say, the cell in lymphoma and tick allergies for Lyme can produce similar swell lymph nodes symptoms. So don't be so sure ur dog has lymphoma . It just may have allergies to to ticks or Lyme. And if the meds for cancer cures the swell, the next time it swells it may not be cancer out of remission but another tick bite bcs the area is infested with ticks.
