They left my toddler , car seat and bags stranded after I confirmed with them earlier in the day for a pick up in the afternoon.I called 10+times with no answer. I ended up going with Enterprise in Salem the following day. They picked us up at home with the rental I was renting so didn’t have to switch the car seat, much better customer service!!

I was going to rent a car from them, but apparently they don’t answer their phone.I appreciate the apology but still not answer at the Salem Hertz office. I have tried calling multiple times at different times of the day.

Rented for a 3 day trip and booked an EV due to fact that I am on the market for an EV. Kenia (on her way to a well deserved vacation) was amazing and great at answering my questions and giving me an upgrade to the new (5000 mi) Kia EV6 that was charged to above 80% (really helped w/trip), really impressed w/the car. When dropping off the car, dropped it off w/79% charge and just w/in the 29 min grace period and notified Kevin if he could waive the fee, when I looked at my final bill, the total came out to exactly what i booked it for. Really impressed by the service and will continue to rent from Hertz, being a former frequent Enterprise customer for work, and may be on the market from Hertz for one of there used EVs. Great job Kenia & Kevin.

Horrible place car had a service light on the whole time change oil aswell we left a tumbler cup that was $70 in the car that we seen after dropping the keys in the drop box tryed calling for 2 weeks finally got someone on the phone that told me they must have thrown it out wont use this hertz again.. there should be a policy in there contract that has a 30 day hold on lost or left behind items in cars i will stick with and recommend enterprises is peabody for now on

How you going to run my card twice for insurance asking the other employee for help, set my return up for when your closed and then charge me $200 for a tire that was covered.Edit:3 charges have gone through on my card, the rental, the deposit, and the replacement wheel fee. Why are you running my card again when the point of the deposit is if there's extra fees?

Never again! Horrible experience. Reserved a car and waited for an hour and a half past my reservation time only to be told that there was no car available for me! Witnessed a full on screaming match between other customers and endured the slow response from the one employee working. Going to take 7-10 business days to get a refund! Had to scramble to find alternative to keep my plans. What is the point of a reservation and pre-paying if you don't even reserve a car for me!!! Go someplace else!!!

I booked a car using Expedia and I paid the full amount. When I came to get my car, they denied to give it to me and denied to refund me. They require a credit card and I only have a debit card.

An absolute disgrace of a rental company. Keep getting hit with random charges. Just got ANOTHER charge today August 22nd for a rental that I had on JUNE 7th! This is ridiculous! DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM HERE!

An absolute disgrace of a company. A total scam top to bottom. I returned my rental June 10th. It’s now 11pm august 18th and I JUST got yet another charge! I’ve been charged off and on by hertz since I returned my car months ago! I keep getting hit with random charges that make 0 sense. Avoid this company like the plague. I’m calling my credit card company tomorrow and starting a formal complaint.

This team hustles. The previous renter took the charging adapter for the Tesla - the Hertz team was able to get one from a different location and deliver it to us…after hours! Really appreciate all the work these guys do. The reality is - this is a tough business to operate and even tougher given our macro labor constraints. This team is doing a phenomenal job navigating it all.

Just picked up a car whose outside has been barely cleaned. The previous renter must have brought it through some nasty road work or weather, complete with bird poop on the hood and bugs splatter in the windshield. The people here were fine, in and out fairly quickly, although they could use another staff member on hand, as there were three other people waiting.

Customer service: beyond excellent. The Hyundai Kona was a great little car. (Though I wish rental car companies would think about using unscented cleaning products. Gah!)Thank you, Kenia, for an effortless and entirely pleasant experience!

Hertz will apply a convenience fee of $59.94 for every toll you come across. To illustrate, if the toll amount is $1.00, your overall cost will be $61.94. Unlike Enterprise, I have never experienced these charges before.
