This has been the worst experience we have ever had purchasing a vehicle. We have purchased many cars in our lifetime and we have never experienced such poor customer service. We purchased a truck that was rejected during inspection for a safety issue. There was no communicarion from the dealership and we had to reach out multiple times. We we're stuck with a $275 tow and $200 deductible plus loss of wages due to the starter failing just a month after we bought the truck and then on top of that the dealership refused to help with any of the costs despite the lemon law in Massachusetts and still having a safety rejection. We will never purchase from this dealership again and do not recommend it to anyone. They sold us a truck that had not been gone through after we sat at the dealership for an entire day it still took a week to even pick the truck up again with no communication and it still received a rejection. Absolute worst customer service!

All vehicles have high mileage and need work. Don't buy from here! Service is horrible. This dealership used to be a comfortable, friendly, accommodating and inexpensive car dealership. I was one of their first customers and they were so good to me! I told so many people to go buy from them, and they did. I bought my 2nd car from them and have had nothing but problems. John likes to play nice but I have never been so screwed over by a "mechanic". My catalytic converters had to be replaced 4 times in 2 years! Of course they replaced them because I bought an extended warranty. The problem was everytime he replaced them, he would replace with factory rebuilts. Everytime!! I just went in to ask if he would replace them a 5th time so I can get my inspection sticker. All he said is " You don't have a warranty anymore." I'm beside myself right now! If he fixed it right just one time, they'd be good for almost 10 years! The dealership does have some beautiful vehicles, but the customer service and professionalism by the Service Manager is a zero. Don't buy anything that might need work!!Show full review

Guilherme was very patient and accommodating while I figured out the financing for my new car. Nobody was pushy or aggressive like a lot of car salesman are. They registered my car on the spot so when I drove it off the lot it had new plates and everything. Great car buying experience.

This is regarding 2015 White Dodge Ram Truck Stock# 103769 I paid to reserve the truck to test drive and have an outside mechanic (from a national chain, not a personal mechanic) verify the truck before purchasing. Prior to arriving I spoke with and messaged the company to discuss the truck and the appointment. The consultant said the price would be able to be negotiated by the sales associate. When I arrived, the truck was not ready and the battery was dead, it took 45min for the vehicle to become ready. In inspecting the vehicle before test driving, I noticed that the coils and the parts of the frame I could see through the tire wells as well as the hitch had been painted (the hitch adapter 3" to 2") was stuck and could not be removed). This made me believe that the former owner had painted the vehicle to hide rust areas. Upon arriving at the outside mechanic, I asked them to check the battery etc which I had to pay extra for, and I asked them to check the rust, etc. After completing the inspection they said everything was great except the painting that had been done. It appeared it had not been done by a professional as the coils were painted and we could see areas where rust was coming back through the paint leading us to believe it was not treated properly before painting. (professionals don't usually coat moving parts or the hitch). When I returned and pointed this out to the sales associate, he agreed the paint job did not look fresh (they had the vehicle since August 2023). After he called his service manager the service manager and let him know the hitch adapter as well was stuck from the paint, the service manager claimed that they had put the undercoating on. If that was the case, I asked why the sales associate did not know and why the documentation in carfax and on the sales slip did not show that it had the undercoating done. They did not have an answer... I told them I knew it would cost me at least $2k to fix and if they would come down on the price I would still purchase the vehicle. Despite the misrepresentation, the fact that the associate on the phone and text prior to my visit said the price was negotiable, and the fact that I would have to put money into the vehicle immediately upon purchase, the dealership would not come down on the price to $39k or even $40k.

I went to Carfive it took me an hour to get there at first I thought the people was nice there, however i chosen a car did the application to get approved for the car according to the manager the application might take long, so I left and advise that as soon as the decision comes in please call me. Hours went by so I call them and I was told that I got approved for the loan and to come in and sign the paperwork for the car. Made the appointment for the next morning when I got to my appointment the next day they said the car was SOLD the night before. I did not a call that night nor the morning of my appointment, so I drove an hour to be told that the car was sold. The kicker is that the Manager of Carfive was the one who handled my application and did not call and advise that the car was sold. He stated that he “thought” he sent me a message.

I love the car I got it 2017 Acadia Denali Brian help me out the whole time, thank God he works there, because he made all this happen. if you call car five speak to brian I promise you, you will not regret it.

Bought a 2015 Chevy Equinox which I like, but 3 of the tires have a slow leak.About every two and a half weeks the Tire Pressure Sensors that are, displayed incorrectly on the dashboard (tire pressures don't match the indicators on the dashboard) pop on telling me low pressure.First time I thought it might be a fluke so I pumped them up, second time was when I really noticed I have an issue with 3 tires just after the 30 days....Salesman Lucas told me he was "pretty sure" it had new tires on it as well.Its been a few months now, and I really lost my patience with it today if you can't tell...

Lucas at Carfive made my car buying experience very simple and stress free. He answered all of my questions (there was a lot) with knowledge and expertise. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone, not only for the very nice vehicles they have in stock but as well as how helpful the staff is and how easy they make the process of purchasing a car.

Carfive is great the staff have outstanding customer care.when i called immediately a person picked and responded to my inquiries when I went to office one staff Lucas in the sales department gave detailed information which informed my decision.leading me to great saving on the same great product.Lucas was professional, he handled me with respect and dignity. Highly Recommend. After a bad experience at a big name dealership we went to CarFive. Lucas was fantastic and had no issues accommodating our military bank financing. The staff are all great, friendly & knowledgeable. I plan on getting a new truck next year and I’ll be going here first. Just a 10/10 experience.

Just purchased a near showroom condition 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander at CarFive in Salem MA. Had the pleasure of dealing with both Lucas and Brian and found them to be outstanding professionals who treated me with the greatest courtesy and without the slightest degree of sales pressure. The best car rental service on the north shore. Very cheap nice car’s that are available respectful, very clean, organized friendly. They also sell cars across the street from from Highland Avenue in Salem that are under $10,000. They are very honest and upfront the best I’ve rental place I’ve ever gone to. I recently bought a car from CarFive. They sold me a car while the breaks were still squeaking. I had to leave for vacation, so they told me if the problem still persisted to bring it back within their 30 day warranty. When I came back to town, I called them (and texted them) to tell them I will be in the next week. (At least a 3/4 day notice) So when I got there they said they would handle my car for me. I waited from 10am until 4pm in Salem. Then right before closing, I called and they said they were going to ‘order the piece for tomorrow’ like I didn’t tell them ahead of time or anything ????So I Had to drive 2 hours back home, and then wait for the next day to get my car, basically wasting my day out there without them even telling me.. even after calling/texting saying I would be in on this specific day. They only did the front breaks, neglecting the back ones bc only the front ones were making noise at the time. I feel They did this on purpose, knowing you’re usually supposed to do both breaks at the same time. Obviously they didn’t want to do it, or look at anything else in my car, because they would’ve had to pay for it.My back breaks now need replacement (only 2 months later, and $1500 for the parts), there were multiple loose clips in the engine bay I had to deal with myself, they literally gave me the wrong license plates (had to get them shipped to me on vacation), and they gave me absolutely no papers or information about how the car was treated beforehand. Also one of the fuses for the heated/vented seats has been acting up too. Only thing they told me was done to the car was the Bully exhaust.Overall really not satisfied with these people. The only pro about this place, is that I was able to purchase the car pretty quickly, due to them being a registry, dealership, and repair spot all in one.

Took me a while to find a car that I wanted and that I felt comfortable with in buying a used car. Honestly, the staff stuck buy me and my budget in the multiple cars I have looked at and test drove. Brian was extremely patient with me in my search and met all of my expectations! I’m excited with my purchase!
