I always come here for hardware needs. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Their fastener wall is such a blessing and has saved me many times. Great place, and happy to have it in our town.

Great job Rutland. I had some paint mixed there. They were quick, courteous and professional. Very unlike my local hardware store where the atmosphere seems to be customers interrupt their day. Thank you.

We just moved to the Rutland area and hate the drive into Worcester just for hardware supplies. Rutland HArdware is just a 4 minute drive from our new home. While they are a bit more pricey than the big box stores, it's so much closer and have way better customer service. I really value shopping local. They have just about everything you would need and more. We were immediately helped upon entering. It's kind of astonishing how large this shop is. When you look at the top area when you first arrive it seems like a small shop, but they have a HUGE area down a ramp, which is also wheelchair accessible i might add.

The small storefront makes it seem like this is going to be a hole in the wall shop with a small selections of tools or hardware. Its actually a decent sized shop once you step inside. They even hall a full sized lumber yard out in the back near the contractor entrance. The store is generally geared towards supplying the local contractors building the new homes in the area. Rutland Hardware generally stocks what they use the most. If you own a home in Rutland, your home was most likely built from materials bought from this store. Its definitely geared more toward the carpentry side of the building trades but they have a decent sized plumbing and electrical section too. If you need new cabinets they have a small showroom on the second floor you can check out. Its best to call if you need something specific or odd though. They just don't have the selection of what a Lowes or Home Depot have on hand. What Rutland Hardware is good for is being a local store that carries basic homeowner goods without having to drive all the way to Worcester.
