“Nice little market for a small shop. Meats are nice quality at low prices. Just started making breakfast sandwiches and keeping them up front my cash registers. All the cashiers are nice but Rory really stands out. Just efficient but a genuine person. I do enjoy that there’s a select few dairy free brands in store as well. Very accessible!”

127 High St, Ipswich“Ive been a wine guide for 6 1/2 years and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I made a complete career change, as a single mother, and am much more fulfilled than I ever was before. I have the freedom and flexibility that I always dreamed of, and have made so many friends along the way. We have such a supportive tribe and we have so much fun together. The wine is top notch and so is the experience that we provide to our customers and hosts they keep coming back for more, which keeps this business sustainable and fun for us.”
10AM - 7PM
188 High St, Ipswich“One of the best selections of wine anywhere on the North Shore, coupled with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The prices are very competitive. Can’t really ask for more!”

91 Main St, Essex“They were super friendly and helpful. We discusses the types of wine s we like and he suggested some I had never heard of, in the same price range I was looking at.”
“Their hours are VERY convenient, , their location is convenient, and their selection is surprisingly large. I've been able to consistently get less-popular liquors and spirits here. Chambord, various Amaros, etcLove it!”

123 E Main St, Merrimac“Wonderful people, great seasonal beer & excellent whiskey/bourbon year round. Add in the tastings hosted there & you always have a reason to stop in. Always great to support a local business too ??”
10AM - 9PM
14 Plum Island Turnpike a, Newbury“This store has grocery, snacks, surf boards, and incredible selection of wine. Staff is friendly and knowledgable about the area. There are comfy tees and hoodies, hats, and so much more for sale. When I visit this store I feel at home and nothing is more important to me than that (and a great glass of wine to sip while watching the sunset, let's be real). The prices are reasonable- in fact, lower than expected considering we are on an island, so I appreciate not having to make a trek into town.”
“I've only come across nice people here. The alcohol is regularly priced. (Not one of these rip off convenient stores.) Just a towny local liquor store with friendly people.”
12 - 6PM
49 Friend St, Amesbury“I was just stopping through Amesbury and I'm so happy we stopped by this shop! The employees are so friendly and helpful. The shop is beautiful and really well stocked with a very wide variety of liquors, wines, beer, craft beers and ciders! I would call them a boutique liquor store with great prices. I will definitely stop by this place if I'm ever in the area again.”
“Excellent selection. Negative reviews on an early close during the ridiculous covid shutdowns doesn't properly review a business... who knows if there was a personal issue with staff?”
6AM - 10PM
121 Eastern Ave, Essex“Pretty good just one problem somethings the cashier Sometimes takes a little more than he s hold like you buy something 1.50$ and give him a 2$ he'll take like a extra 25 cents but other than that pretty good”
10AM - 9PM
286 School St, Groveland“Leary's the best liquor store in all of Massachusetts. Their variety is unparalleled & everyone there is so sweet and helpful. Andrew knows everything about every drop of alcohol that comes through that place, he's the best, with Stacey as a very close second. They also have a great deli and cheese selection. Come on down as they often have beer, wine and liquor tastings throughout the week.”
“We went there for the Beth Israel lahey Corona virus phase 2 vaccination. The whole experience was a very pleasant surprise. On about February 1, the hospital started sending out notices to its patients between 75 and 85 to sign up. We chose to sign up for Feb 4 to avoid the forecast snow storm and potential start up woes at 1:30. We got there at about 1:15 with plenty of close parking. There was as line of about 10 people for outside prescreening which moved quickly. When we got inside there was a line of about 5 people ahead of us. After a brief wait we were checked in and received our shots. After the shots we were taken to chairs for a 15 minute observation period, during which they booked our second shots. We were back in the car at 2:00. Overall a very pleasant experience.”
“Have been getting my beer from the "hardwood store" for the past couple years. Great variety of beers with better prices than Crosby's. Best place in Georgetown for beer.”
9AM - 9PM
25 Macy St, Amesbury“Good liquor store when you need something in a pinch. Selection is a mile wide but an inch deep, so you're going to find something close to what you need.Surprised that there's sales people with samples given how small it is, but that's a treat. Staff is nice!”
“This place is amazing. Staff is so kind and helpful. Made sure the wines I purchased were specially gift wrapped. Really mesmerizing selection for yourself or special occasions.”

201 Western Ave, Essex“One of the last of it's kind , little store for beer wine and alcohol...and some home made food and sandwiches.. places like this used to be fairly common on the north shore not so much anymore”
“Great throwback to a time when every town had one or two good butchers.Nice selection of cuts. They have a walk up window if you need to place a special order or get a cut trimmed up.I was making turkey chili and wanted turkey tips. They had them cut but pre-marinated. Instead, I bought a boned turkey breast and cut that up for the chili. Lots of options plus a small, mini mart (salad stuff and canned goods) for those afterthought extras without having to go to Stop n Slop. Oh, beer anyone? Good selection of beer; traditional, IPA, and other specialized beer. They also have a prepared food section.”
“Small but REALLY EASY TO GET IN & OUT. Good size parking lot, well lite so safe too (female perspective). Safety pastic (Covid) between U & cashiers & w/a mask, the ? working came from around back to assist me when needing help so that was appreciated. It has ONLY THE BASICS, scratch tickets, a BUNCH OF SHOT SELLECTIONS, cheaper wines, American Beers & J.D. in handled jugs ? not an IPA or Whiskey/bourbon connoisseur store but it DID do the trick for the night in Middleton, which is a beautiful town might I add.??Get your reasonably priced essentials here!!!!!”
“I called on a recent Sunday searching for canned snails and discovered they were closed. Imagine my surprise when the owner called me back on Monday, also a day off for them! I mentioned what I was looking for and after saying that I wasn’t interested in coming in the next day because there was a Nor’easter in the forecast, Angela offered to meet me at the store after picking up her daughter from school. Did I mention it was her day off from work?!? I left with plenty of snails in tow, as well as a beautiful baguette and some raw cow’s milk cheese from France. I’ve lived in the Newburyport area since the early 80’s and while there are stores in town that carry “this” or “that” where cheeses, wine, and specialty foods are concerned, this a one stop shop that I’m glad to have rediscovered. I’ll be back real soon during business hours to browse all their offerings! Thanks for your kindness, Angela!”
“It’s been remodeled new owner. Best part is they are open when they say and close when they say. Thanks to the other other place closing 40 minutes early I would not have stopped in. Glad I did the improvements are nice going here now for my drink runs.”
“Sam turned this place around! Great to have a quality & convenient option where Newburyporters can duck in and out off Low St to quickly to get what they need. Beer and wine that you want and an excellent Bourbon selection. My new 'go-to'.”
“Ashley was so nice and friendly! Her customer service was outstanding, she checked on us and was ready to help at a moments notice! The store had a great selection as well!”
“Absolute best selection of new beer and seltzer and vodka canned beverages. Friendly and helpful staff consistently and some of the best wines and hard liquor selections around. Plus the location is central and convenient and prices are decent”
