“Diverse art gallery in Newburyport. Exhibitions seem to rotate every few weeks and feature the work of local artists who are often also members. Works are generally paintings or photographs but there is also an outdoor sculpture garden.”
“Lisa makes the most gorgeous custom jewelry! I love going into her shop and seeing where the pieces are actually made, planning on what to get next, visiting each room and seeing the themes. She has something for all tastes at multiple price points. I live an hour away and have visited many times because it's worth it!”
“We first saw K T's paintings at the Greenbelt's "Art in the Barn" a few years ago. We purchased a beautiful marsh scene which is adorned daily in our breakfast nook. This past Christmas my wife and I decided to buy another painting from Katie as a gift to each other. We chose "Acadia", a view of Maine's granite and spruce shoreline. Katie added a tiny, tiny catboat because we cruise this area each summer. We placed it in a nautical corner of our family room.”
“Shopping in Market Square, I discovered Greetings by Design. Inside, I found that the items in the shop went way beyond just greeting cards. Stationery items included invitations for many occasions, plus boxed and personalized stationery. There was a wide selection of greeting cards for all occasions. Many of the cards were designed by local artists. I saw gift items for all ages. I browsed artwork, kitchen towels, ornaments, journals, pens, bookmarks, key chains, flashlights, coffee mugs, travel mugs, sport bottles, and more. The shop owner was nice and very helpful. As with other stores and shops in Newburyport that I’ve been to, I found that everything in this shop was tasteful and of high quality. And, it stands to reason. I can't imagine a junky shop lasting very long in Newburyport's shopping district. I rate Greetings by Design at 5.0 and recommend a visit. “I had a great experience here during the Christmas season picking out a gift for my daughter. She wanted a slightly oversized cream colored fishermen's sweater and it was a little tricky figuring out the right size for her. The sales woman I worked with was very friendly and helpful, and in the end we ended up with the perfect fit. I'll totally be back. They had a wide range of items, some expected and others more unique. I'd say it was totally worth the trip to check it out, I know I'll be back.”
