I recently stayed here after getting engaged with my fiance. When booking here, the staff were super helpful on the phone and friendly. They helped with getting flowers to the room as a surprise and also went above and beyond with putting rose petals in the room as well as champagne for us! Thank you so much for making the stay memorable and we will for sure be back!
Nearby activities: Walking distance to beach and shops

We had an unusual situation which management handled professionally and respectfully. They were very helpful and very accommodating. Rooms were well furnished and stocked. The bed was extra comfy. We'll be back and recommend others to check it out.

First the pros:
Incredible view over the bay (Room 11)
Downtown in easy walking distance
Very clean and nicely furnished
Common room a nice resource
Now the cons:
Incredibly steep (as in scary) stairs to the third floor
Need comfy chairs or a couch in the room to really enjoy the view
No service, including no snacks or beverages other than coffee in the room and common room
For off season (April) very pricey
Common room was used as interview space for a prospective new bartender while we were in the space - very inappropriate

Fomfy and cozy. Very pretty hotel by the sea.

We absolutely love this place! Stayed in the two bedroom. The amazing views, the cleanliness of the room and the club room and amenities were the standouts. Currently making a plan to come back here as soon as possible!

Overall this was a nice place with a very clean room and a great view of the ocean from the third floor. The only thing that seemed weird was that I did not see another person on the property for my entire stay. There's no check in except for an email, no front desk, no hallways to see staff walk by. It was just kind of eerie to me? I was there in the early spring off-season, so maybe that is why? Anyways, I guess it's good if you are looking for some privacy haha! In terms of Rockport itself, highly recommend a few days visit, what a cute, historic, sweet, little town.
Walkability: About a 7 min walk to the most-downtown part of the historic Rockport.
Food & drinks: Bean & Leaf Cafe single-handedly fuels this tiny town during off-season. Nothing else was open on Mondays or Tuesdays.

We booked a spectacular room (Millbrook B) for our anniversary trip and we can't wait to go back! A feeling of seclusion, plenty of space & amenities, a relaxing view of the park across the brook and depending on what direction you attune your ears to, the sounds of a rushing waterfall, a more-than babbling brook or crashing ocean waves were enjoyed. The room was very clean, absolutely no issues with heat or hot water. It was an excellent stay, I'm psyched we found The Cove.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Cove. We had a nice winter weekend away to recharge. Service was remote, which we didn’t mind at all. It was very organized and directions were clear. The room was squeaky clean, bright, and has a beautiful view of the ocean. Our bed was comfortable. The clubroom was nice and spacious to sit and have coffee, read, socialize, or relax. We went off season so it was nice and quiet. Location is only a short walk to Bearskin Neck. We walked there for coffee in the morning and also at sunset. Short drive to Halibut Point State Park for a short hike and fantastic views.

My better half and I have experienced high-end hotels around the US and abroad for decades, and The Cove is in the top three for perfection. Absolutely spotless room and bathroom! The king size bed was very comfortable, and additional pillows were readily available in the closet. As an artist, I especially appreciated the "Mediterranean" light coming through the big windows facing the ocean. Even the TV and Wi-Fi worked well.
We were there in mid March, and were dressed for the weather. We opted to walk to Bearskin Neck and Motif #1, and it turned out to be much shorter than it looked on the map, and an excellent restaurant was at the halfway point. The unique and beautiful performance center was even a shorter walk.
We look forward to staying at The Cove again, as soon as we can.

Great location - short walk to shops and restaurants. Great view from Lookout room and very clean. Didn't use clubroom but great space. Very quite post-Christmas before they shut down for couple months, which was nice.

Decided on a last minute get-away to Rockport--in the wintertime---and LOVED it! The Cove was a perfect choice! It was directly across from the ocean with a beautiful porch right outside of our door and windows, where we sat with blankets, drinking our coffee each morning! We also took walks up to the top of Bearskin Neck and stopped for breakfast at Brother's Brew Coffee House to start our day(s). The room was bright, had a wonderful king size bed and large shower! The mini fridge and microwave were a bonus! As much as it would have been the PERFECT place in the summer, it proved to be equally beautiful and relaxing in the winter!! We liked having the place (almost) to ourselves, and the on-site free parking in the lot next door (accessed by a walking path) worked out perfect!! Perhaps we'll be back next NY's Eve, as well!! (If not sooner!)The service was all done remotely which we found to be no problem, but if you have difficulties with technology or prefer hands on assistance at a hotel, the wintertime may not be the time to go. I'm assuming it may be different in the summer/spring?

This is our second time staying at The Cove Inn. We love it. Better than most AirBnbs (and better prices off season … although obviously no kitchen). Perfect location - walk to everything downtown, shops, etc. Beautifully appointed room with amazing views (we have stayed in rooms 10 and 11 on the 3rd floor). Clean and bright. Very easy communication via text and email re: our reservation, door code, etc. Highly recommend!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable- and that was all we needed for our one evening in Rockport. If I was trying to vacation I would have been slightly irritated by the following: There was nobody-and I mean nobody in this place. It is NOT a hotel but a hotel turned airbnb with individual rooms and DIY everything. For $244/night in December I would expect some level of service because it is very confusing to find where to go in. Yes, the door is labelled but it is not intuitive. Also, you have to park down the street and walk with your belongings like a hobo to get to the room. You are not permitted to even stop in front of the place to drop off. They did not make this clear prior to booking. So, if I was staying for more than an evening that would be unacceptable. As it was we had done some shopping and had some food items so we needed to make 2 trips down the road to load up our car to depart. We were on the second floor and the staircase is steep. I am pretty sure it doesn't conform to new standards but is probably grandfathered in- at least they made that part very clear on the reservation and we do not have mobility issues. It was still very steep and difficult to manage while bringing luggage/etc. The sink is inexcusably small in a rather sizeable bathroom- I cannot fathom who thought it was a good idea to put the smallest, most shallow sink in a hotel bathroom but one cannot wash their hands or face without getting water everywhere. Lastly, this is an old building and the door to our room had a very large gap from the bottom of the door to the floor. So, like I mentioned before, this is not like a hotel room but a room in a home or something. No privacy as we could hear radio or TV from another room and every single step the people above us took. I felt I had to whisper while in the room and that is uncomfortable (for my taste). I do want to emphasise that it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, though.Rooms: Clean and comfy. There is a microwave but no napkins/paper towels or utensils so heating leftovers was not easy. Also the bathroom sink was so small that one could not clean up easily is using the microwave.Nearby activities: Shops/restaurants in walking distance-Feather and Wedge likely the best place in the area!

We absolutely love this place. We stayed last year and did so again this year. Rooms are great (we’ve stayed in two different ones) and we like the contact-less check in. The staff is very available and checks in via email and text daily. Location couldn’t be better!
