The building and equipment is outdated plus they shut the lights off on me 30 mins before the posted closing time.

This laundromat is well run and has a supply of books for your reading pleasure. I’ve met friendly customers and the woman who runs this business is as kind as she is helpful.

A few machines are out of order, and the laundromat itself is quite narrow. However, the woman who operates the place is sweet as pie. They provide reading material for people waiting on their clothes, and there's, albeit finicky, change exchange machines to get quarters. As of April 14th, 2022, the double load machines are $3.50, and the full size machines (there's two of them) charge $5.00, or 20 quarters.

I wish I could give it 0 stars. I live in rockport and figured it would be more convenient to use loco-motion instead of my normal laundromat in Gloucester. When I walked in there were hand written notes all over the place showing how to use her broken machines. I was only able to get one Machine to work. Let me tell you it’s worth the extra 10 min to go into Gloucester if a Laundromat is your only option! Anyone in Gloucester has up to date and cleaner machines

What a nightmare! Gross place, no hot water, broken machines & handwritten sticky notes on EVERYTHING (including somebody’s nasty leftover coffee cup with a straw in it...DURING A PANDEMIC). I needed a shower after walking into this place, forget about clean clothes!

I have had more aggravation with the machines in this place!!! I try to use other laundromats when I can. The machines are ALWAYS messed up and have some hand written note scotch taped to them "Out Of Order," "Bang handle to start ..." where do all the quarters go ??? It certainly isn't for maintenance!!! I just wasted $10.50 on a machine that NEVER STARTED!!! This place sucks! I give this place HALF A STAR!!!!

We were on a trip and decided to do our laundry before coming home. Loco-Motion met the bill and turned out to be an interesting place to visit. Lots of postings all over the laundromat were personal and interesting. The machines worked well and we were happy to meet several friendly customers. We will use again on our next trip. Thanks Robin.

This is a strange place. But this review is based on the age and condition of the machines. Each washer had a sticky notes describing the quirk of that particular machine. "Push hard" or "jiggle this nob" and my favorite "do not attempt to use this unless I'm here, no one can get it right." For each sticky note, there were 2 more saying the same thing, in various ways, just to reiterate the point... The dryers were woeful. I spent close to $20 and my clothes were still wet.Rockport is a quirky place. The town is well-off, but bohemian to a fault. I'm not sure what was going on with the decor, but the 2 hours spent trying to get my clothes dried enabled me to perplex myself with the wind chimes, stuffed plush bird collection, surfboard, blue glass, ornaments, inspirational posters and one advertisement for a big band style musician... It gave me anxiety but myvfriebds said it was "cool" and not to pick on the decor.
