The inn and staff were wonderful, and the food was delectable! Still, my favorite part of the resort might actually have been the view! We saw the moon AND sun rise, and the view of the ocean even from inside the room made us feel like we were on a luxury cruise. It is all you could hope for in a New England coastal getaway, and then some.Kudos to Kimberly and her team for a spectacular weekend. Thank you!Rooms: Most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in!

Stayed 2 nights at the Emerson this past weekend and couldn’t have loved it more. We absolutely can’t wait to go back. The views were amazing. The staff was so helpful and attentive, we absolutely love Lynn. She was very helpful and guided us to all the things to see. The breakfast was amazing as well. This was one of our favorite hotels ever. We will be back!!Rooms: So adorable and loved the keurigs on each floor, my favorite part!!

Our trip was amazing. Our stay was amazing. Great staff. Kim and Lynn were so helpful throughout our stay and very accommodating to all of our needs. One of the best experiences of our life. My handicap wife was thrilled and is still smiling. That meant everything to us.We truly enjoyed ourselves and we will be back as promised!Kim... The most incredible part of finding the best place to stay is knowing exactly where to stay next time. Thank you for preserving an incredible piece of land with the view that one dreams about when planning a trip to the east coast. Beautiful place, amazing setting and a great staff. We just spent two nights this week (9/22/23 & 9/21/23) there and had a wonderful time.We were very lucky with the weather, perfect blue skies, mid 70's, could not ask for a more beautiful time to be in Rockport, Mass.All the guest were totally relaxed and enjoying the wonderful hospitality of the inn and the stunning views of the ocean from the inn.Everyone at the inn was in a wonderful mood because of the wonderful vibe from the staff and the absolute beauty of the place and the location overlooking the ocean.The sunrise photo kind of says it all.

My husband and I have been staying at the Emerson Inn for MANY years….(.We were even married here!)……as it has passed through multiple owners, and this is the first owner (Kimberly) that has ever been on sight! She brings a breath of fresh air to the Emerson with a French flair!We appreciate her efforts to maintain the feeling of stepping back in time when you enter! The music softly playing in the background is just the best and instantly lifts your spirits!The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness is maintained daily. The pool is beautiful to relax by and look over r the ocean! We are looking forward as things continue to develop in the restaurant area. Cocktails and small bites on the veranda can’t be beat! You won’t regret relaxing at the Emerson Inn by the Sea!

Great location and friendly kitchen staff. Lovely breakfast service.However, the room was run down and smelled like mildew. It certainly did not justify the price point. I would book elsewhere in the future.

Brought my daughter and her friend to stay at The Emerson. So beautiful and peaceful. Being able to see all of the stars at night was a highlight! We city dwellers tend to forget they're up there- what a great reminder.

This place was absolutely fantastic to explore. We didn’t stay here but drove in to have some drinks and explore the property. We definitely would have stayed here but we’re in an rv traveling though. The service was fantastic and the views were spectacular. It was so nice to enjoy wine on a rocking chair looking at the view!

Location is beautiful, however I will not be visiting again. The owner claims she wants everyone to feel at home, but seems to go out of her way to make sure her guests are belittled and disrespected. There was zero hostility, in fact it seemed as though her guests were a burden.Thankfully the weather and the view was perfect.

What a wonderful hotel, a truly historical charming place to stay. It was elegant but not stuffy. The people so receptive, helpfully and are down to earth friendly.

My husband and I wanted to get out of the city for the weekend and we're so happy we chose to stay at the Emerson Inn! Really incredible staff, amazing view of the ocean, a huge porch for dining and hanging out, nice size pool, and a delicious breakfast each morning. Highly recommend if you're looking for a charming place with thoughtful touches throughout. You can tell they love taking care of their guests, and they do a great job.

Was here before the pool! Great massage. Great view. Great people. Lovely rooms even back then. And I still have the book so graciously gifted me. Have always wanted to return... And bring a book! Love to The Emerson!

Awesome Anniversary weekend for us! This historic Inn is elegantly decorated in period furniture and accessories. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating especially Jennifer who we loved. They carried our bags to our rooms, provided us with ice, water and information in a timely fashion. The parlor lounge was perfect to entertain our local friends for drinks and dinner on Friday night. Not knowing what the Saturday night function would be like we joined the Kentucky Derby party and had a great time and met some nice people. The staff did a great job. Our room was sweet " The Emerson Room" It had a lovely view of the Ocean. Growing up on the North Shore of Boston I had many trips to Rockport and had passed by this inn numerous times. The enjoyment we felt, sitting on the porch rocking chairs soaking up the sun was wonderful and breathing in that sea air.I must return someday whether it only be for a cocktail and a look at the ocean.Food & drinks: Very good !
