Rockland Trust Bank decided to close my account and informed me just by mailing me a letter, without any prior communication to this point. When I inquired to give me a specific reason/s, stating facts, they denied to provide any information at all. Blocked me from accessing my account online, although it stated otherwise in the letter. Their reluctancy to communicate with me and resolve whatever issues they have with my account, topped it of to the point that I've had enough, regardless that my experience so far was hassle free and I enjoyed being their customer. Now I am happy to be banking with American Express.

Likely the worst bank in Massachusetts. Your account will probably be hacked and the fraud dept is run by a third party call center with very poor response/service. Expect poor customer service and many interruptions, weeks to resolve money stolen.

All the negatives and impersonalization of a big bank with none of the benefits. Monday was a bank holiday, apparently their online banking went unusable and you were given a number to call, call the number straight to "the bank is closed". Being locked out of zelle since i apparently NEED to use it through your online banking app was a significant inconvenience.Real banks have 24/7 staff on hand to keep online banking up in the modern world. Rockland does not.

Dorchester Lowers Mills Branch is fantastic. It's like an alternative universe. When I call the phone is answered in no more than three rings, a human being answers the phone and always is professional, courteous and helpful. Suzanne Spargo and her staff are the best.

The absolute worst bank I've ever had to deal with for personal banking. Never return calls, terrible customer service, high fees.... stay away. Try TD Bank... I really like TD.

Called the Burlington location and talked with Luke. He was so incredibly helpful and took the time to listen to my issue. He was so gracious and solved my issue so quickly. Thanks Luke and love banking here.

If I could give negative stars I would! All I was trying to find out was how much you needed to open a checking and savings account. When I called one of the prompts that I pressed was for new accounts and the product and services they provide. When the woman answered in an adequate amount of time, I told her what my question was and she put me on hold. I figured maybe she would know right away especially if this seemed like her job. She had me on hold for 10 minutes and then came back and said she was sorry but she couldn’t help me with that and that she would send me through to someone that could. I said thank you to her and she put me on hold again. I listened to the same exact music that was on when she put me on hold and after about 10 more minutes it changed to different music and then there were those random speeches from an automated service that told me about their services. I waited on hold for 34 minutes and no one ever got back to me. I tried calling back six different times and each time I called back the wait time for someone was either 25 minutes or 30 minutes or 35 minutes. I called the Rockland bank in Rockland and it’s supposedly 35 minutes to talk to somebody ?♀️? It is ridiculous that the woman that I spoke to did not know a simple answer, but I’m pretty sure every person at the bank should know about starting a new account and how much you need for it. The prompt that I had to press was literally for that exact reason and this woman didn’t know what she was doing and then passed the buck and no one ever answered. They will never get my business and I will make sure to tell everyone I know how awful they actually are!

I always liked Rockland Trust, but the Loan Officer I am dealing with leaves me hanging. Responds to messages days or weeks later. Same excuse”I was away for weekend “. Or she just ignores me. Terrible experience! So disappointed.

Posting this for a friend. Rockland Trust Company: The latest moment was me (again) explaining the harassment over removing my mother from the account and other issues with closing the account, and hearing, "Oh I loved Rita." "Yes. Me too." Smack my freaking head. "She banked with Rockland Trust for 60 years. That's why I'm so upset over the harassment of removing her name from the account. You have a death certificate on record. Why am I being harassed over this?" "It wasn't me. I didn't do it." Yes. It wasn't you. You just represent a company that mistreats customers. But it wasn't you. I've had nothing but a two year growing nightmare from Rockland Trust Company. Call to reset online password every month. Refused service and told to go into a branch. Go into branch and next week cannot log on again. Spend hours on the phone every month. Spend hours in branches. Being told they loved my mother and then being treated like dirt. Can I put in a request for a "protest" and give a street address? I am sending them a cease and desist.
